It's probably gonna have five like most other Telltale games. The only reason GoT had six was because the writers felt that the story was so complex and grand in scale, that they felt that they needed an extra episode to do it justice. As much as I'd like to have six episodes of Season 3, I wouldn't give your hopes up.
6 does sound like the best number, just because if there are two playable characters, there needs to be point where we swap characters, so perhaps at the end of episode 3 (if the game is played that way - it may be that we can switch characters at an time throughout each episodes). If there were 6 episodes, then we would be able to play as each character for 3 episodes each. I guess it makes sense..

My main guess is 5 episodes. But if its true what they said about Javier, that his character is complex makes me think maybe 6 episodes, The same was done with Game Of Thrones.
lol It's not a competition. Minecraft getting 5 episodes (and 3 DLC) doesn't make Walking Dead entitled to one up Minecraft. That, and keep in mind - Michonne was originally supposed to be Season 2 DLC, so Season 2 would've been equal to Minecraft, and Season 1 has 400 Days as well.

We'll be playing like tftb, not one char. per episode

I'm pretty sure they already confirmed that there will be 5 episodes.
But I would like 6 episodes.
30 or more.
O god i wish
As many as it needs to tell its story.
Five or six. No more and no less.
Half of one regular episode. C'mon people I got stuff do. jk.
I'll take 5.
6 sounds good to me, but I'll gladly accept more.
Listen if they can give MCSM 8...then they should give their flagship title 16...at least.
Spongebob voice Twenty fiiiiive.
One hundred ಠ.ಠ
What I WANT is unlimited episodes, what I think is that there will be 5.
6, with not a single episode wasted.
I don't want more than six, if even. Quality > Quantity.
They should follow with what they did with GOT and give us six episodes.

As many as possible tbh
5 or 6.
