This trailer doesn't excite me. Too fast, too much action. Meh.
Do you remember why season 1 was so popular? Do you, Telltale? Not becaus… moree of shootings, explosions or zombie killing techniques. Characters were interesting, building bonds, difficult moral choices and good dialogues. If this won't come back in 3rd season then it will be waste of time.
It would be cool to have in game decisions to save your family from those bad guys, and it would be even more awesome that if you save them there, later they die because of the walkers, so Javier can determinatly and indirectly lose his whole family because of the zombies!
So after this trailer, is it a safe bet to make that David and Hector are dead in the present?
They haven't been seen outside of that extended look at all.
David seems to be too pumped up as a personal rival of Javier's. My assumption is that if the isn't dead that he's affiliated with the New Frontier and wants to "save" his family from Javier.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Trailer
What You Might Not Have Noticed
This is the location that we have seen on multiple occasions,… more where Javier resides, first seen in the blue screenshot of Javier and two of his relatives. You can recognize it due to the wrecked shipping containers.
In this scene, Javier is collecting three of his surviving family members—Kate, Noah, and in the background Eleanor—who were hiding under the trapdoor of what appears to be a restaurant, going by the checkered black and white tiles. This is possibly the bar of "Schulenburg" that @EpicMustacheGuy found.
While being held hostage by the antagonists, whom we previously knew as Capricorn Farm and now as The New Frontier, Javier looks at a second person held captive. The antagonists are holding the protagonist captives at the junk jard also known as Schulenburg.
By the far right, somebody is trapped and seemingly unconscious in the car. Ju… [view original content]
In this shot, Javier shouts at the driver of this barricaded vehicle to take Kate away, possibly shortly before the appearance of The New Frontier.
If you listen closely, you can hear him mention Richmond (the capital of Virginia).
Javier has nice backpack. Sheath(?), compass. Military, prob.
Another thing - why there are so many AK47? Instead MP5 or M16, equipment of US army. I heard about it's high durability but is AK47 very popular in States?
I could definitely see it, especially considering that Jesus still looks like his pre-timeskip self. I'm guessing that this is what he was up to during the timeskip.
That would be such a big ''Fuck You'' to anyone who saved Kenny/Jane. I don't think, and I hope NOT, that she's putting down one of them in the picture.
Actually, that isn't the antagonist's compound. It's the airport settlement, and the New Frontier is attacking it. From the looks of it, Jav… moreier comes out to talk to them, shit happens, and they end up ramming a zombie-filled truck through the gate, effectively walker bombing the place. The scene of Javier and Clementine running are them trying to get back inside.
At least, that's what I think is going on. They definitely rammed the gate, but whether or not that scene with Javier and Clementine happens before or after that, I dunno.
Well can you really show character development and bonds in a trailer without spoiling the plot? No They have to give a very basic summary of small incrementations of the plot with action. This was just for hype.

I think what you are asking for is both impossible and unrealistic with the direction the series seems to be taking and really with what telltales been saying. I have absolutely no doubt Jesus is a main character in all this.
Oh no, I wasn't planning on buying season 3 for a while now. It wasn't your fault, lol. I was hoping the trailer would change my mind, but i… moret didn't. Not to mention, I also don't care about comic characters. Telltale should keep the games and the comics separate, in my opinion. I hope Jesus is at least just a small role like Glenn and Hershel in season 1(even smaller preferably).
I'd be inclined to think it's Negan at the end because of the leather and everyone kneeling, but Negan is imprisoned at this point in the comics, or on Rick's side, so...
Actual AK-47s are actually illegal for citizens to own here in the US. I think it's just that people think they look cool, so they end up in a lot of shows/movies/games, regardless of setting. You mainly see villains carrying them, too.

Not likely, unless we actually go to the Slade County Retirement Home (I think that's what it was called?). Magna is only from Richmond, she lived at that community. Slade County isn't a real county in Virginia too. Apparently it was closer to D.C. She left since it was going bad and took seven months to get to Alexandria.
Remember her group encountered no people until Alexandria after they left.

Nothing Telltale do will ever be as good as season 1.
Unless this game has anything remotely identical to season 1 such as more gameplay, more hubs, more character interactions/background, longer episodes, minor and not just major choices having or feeling like they have an effect unlike most things in season 2 and possible side quests etc, then it won't be a good game. Of course I hope i am wrong

It is a kind of weird group name. I get the Whisperers, I get the Saviors, I get Termites.
I mean maybe they see themselves as the Big Cheese, the biggest new dick on the block as Negan would probably say. "We are the future. We are the the only hope for civilization. We are the New Frontier!"

Agree,no christa,Lilly ,or Kenny,....seeing Clem isn't enough reason to buy it for me,as i want a reason to play it.
Hector probably got bit when Rafa attacked him
David I don't know

12 seconds in......Kenny talking?

Clellie. XD
I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE BUT MY MAIN MAN JESUS. MY LORD AND GOD DAMN SAVIOR

We will meet Magna and her group!

Thank god I'm not the only one who saw this.

The trailer just came out and we already found 2 glitches.
Thank you for your input!
I've now realized that the junk yard, Schulenburg and the airport are the same place, so I've edited the post accordingly.
Ugh, I hate that word, "accordingly."
Could have sworn I saw Rick in the trailer
Clem's eyebrows
she's like "dafuq ya doin dude?"
WHY ALL HOT PEOPLE ARE GAY!?
Excited for Jesus definitely, but that blonde-haired guy always with Clem and Javier looks intriguing as well! I hope he's a main character!

I would love for it to be Nate!

I'm ready excited for David. I think he'll be one of my favorites.
Clementine isn't asian though?
Look at her eyes.
Besides everyone jokes with Clementine being asian in Season 1 because of her eyes and weird skin color.

I'd be really surprised if Negan was one of the characters in this, of all of the potential ones there could be.
Yeah, I think it's highly unlikely that Negan will show up.

Hopefully he is just a cameo! I'd rather have 100% original characters
Unless that guy didn't have his right hand, it wasn't him, since the Governor took his off.
Also
What type of group name is New Frontier anyway?
lol jesus you guys on this forum find anything to complain about with this game.
Such a shame that rule didn't apply to Kenny...
Why they can give Kenny treatment to Lilly and Christa?

LOL sounds nothing like Kenny dude!
Hat boy looks pretty short in this gif even when considers he is bending down. Wonder how old he is. I mean at that height he looks about Clem's age.
I never imagined that the New Frontier is actually a group name.
Is Jesus running with them? It seems like he might play the biggest role out of the comic characters.
