The Episodes Were Great And The Story Is Fresh. Don't Let The Mistakes Of S2 Make You Hate S3
I don't know what the fuss is about. Actually, I sorta do. I get it, Jane and Kenny were Omided. It was absolutely lazy writing on Telltales part and I'm mad about it too, also not to mention it looks like a truck back the fuck up over their faces. The models look awful. I admit I saw this coming, but when I actually saw it happen, I got mad. I was hung over by how lazy it was and it put me in a bad mood for the rest of the 2 episodes making me sour and I couldn't really enjoy it.
But, despite this and after thinking it over, season 3's story is rich and is full of potential. It also has interesting twists which S2 absolutely lacked.
Clementine, a character loved dearly by so many, is actually at question this time. She was the bad guy. She has twists to her story. Having me try to trust her made me... Uncomfortable. Seeing her unintentionally shoot a man in the face because he gave her bad bullets made me sick to the stomach. No more playing as the little girl who got pushed around and had to do things because the adults were idiots.
I get it, lots of people are upset that we don't play as her, but I think they have it wrong. They were mad about not being able to play a Clem, they're afraid of the story not being about her or TTG moving on but that simple isn't what TTG is doing and the stubborn fans need to learn that. Not playing as Clem does not mean "no more Clem." We get to play as a man and learn about this extremely developed character through her own words/flashbacks. This is new, this is fresh, this is potential.
Seriously. I think the worst parts of the two episodes were, honestly, most heavily caused by S2. Don't let S2 ruin your S3 experience.

Season 2 is a masterpiece compared to ANF. My opinion, of course.
...they had 7 writers for the first episode...
...and 8 for the second...
...What is this?!
I'm not even angry anymore. This season is presenting itself as a joke. Nice one, telltale, seriously, you got me with those flashbacks.
Now, I'll just have to pretend this franchise ended with S2E5.
No i hate season 3 because of season 3. The characters are all pretty dreadful/cringey. The plot is all over the place with weird flashbacks. The graphis look weird as hell and bad. The glitching and lagging still happens. The "twists" are so obvious and predictable. Season 3 so far feels like bizzare spin off fiction, its just bad
I very much agree. The burden of S2 and its choices was an evident thing, but somehow it still manages to move forward despite that. One of the best things is to have Clementine as a "side character" and for me it's truly engaging to want to protect Clem and at the same time needing to act based on Javier's desires and motives. As Javier, Clem isn't my little sweet pea and that's just great.
