Javier caught me off guard completely. Did not expect to connect with him as much as I have. I'm also extremely impressed by the voice acting for his character in particular.
Kate and her complicated relationship with Javier has been one of my favourite aspects of this season thus far. So she's been a great addition too.
Javier is my favorite - which is funny considered I thought I would absolutely hate him. He is actually a very cliche character but it works.
Tripp is my favorite of the NPC's in your group.
Max I think has HUGE potential - I really hope telltale develops this character further and doesn't kill him off - it is obvious that he is tough and loyal but not a monster..
Javier and Tripp are probably my favourites. Javier because it's someone new and i like how his story is revolved around him and his family and trying to make amends for his mistakes unlike how Lee's story centred around Clementine, not that i hate her, but that Lee should've had it centred around him. Tripp because he can be a hard man, but deep down, his sincere and he cares about people in his life.
Clementine is okay, i actually prefer her in a minor role.
Gabe is half and half, his good but can be a drama queen at times.
I don't mind Conrad, i know his status, he will die soon in episode 3 or maybe 4 but i don't mind him.
I dig practically every character so far this season (Yeah, even Gabe). I thought that girl Clem met was pretty cool, but got immediately bummed as soon as she said she was with the New Frontier. I'm hoping Clem and her can reconnect, and that she didn't turn out to be a bitch, because man she seemed great.
Agreed. Ava is one of the things that turned me on to this Season and if she does end up at odds with Clementine, I hope she is played more like a Friendly Enemy who recurs through the game.

I will say though that Javi is such a fantastic protagonist. I wasn't feeling too sure before playing after seeing all those negative threads, but wow he immediately impressed after just a few short conversations. He's shaping up to be one of Telltale's best leads.
Max: a reasonable antagonist. I still don't get why he goes crazy when you simply shove his friend aside.
It's probably the Father to His Men trope.
Clementine: she's basically a new character now. Remembered how Telltale hammered us with #MyClementine back in Season 2? Yeah, well it doesn't really matter. Clem is just a generic edgy badass girl at this point. She's also pretty dumb.
Yeah, pretty much. I would've say she's dumb, just a little reckless.
Kate's definitely my favorite. I really like Javier as well. I love Gabe and Mariana too. Then there's Eleanor & Trip, I really like Eleanor but Trip is awesome as well.
Kate. Screw everyone, I will make that trip to Norway with her. I love her sense of humor. She's just so likeable.
But tbh I like most new additions, especially (excluding Kate) Javier, Ava and the kids.
Javier and Clem went to the place where they reside so technically they do make sense if Javier and Clem are coming to them in the first place. They also escape with them because it wasn't Javier or Clem's fault that they were raided, it was TNF own choice to come and raid them.
I cant really get past how weird her model looks to be honest, they all have a weird uncanny feels this season but hers is the worst. Also h… moreer character like the beard guys make no sense unless their traitors. They just join up with these random people who got their community destroyed.
Javier's okay, I guess. I'd prefer if he'd been more interesting and didn't have as predictable a backstory as he does, but it's early days, so there's plenty of time for me to invest in the character. Still, he's likable enough and I certainty think he's a better protagonist than Clementine was in season 2. Though, he's nothing compared to Lee.
Kate, so far, is my favourite. And, no, that doesn't have anything to do with the romance options (mostly...), but I do find her to be a very easily likable character. She's not practically fascinating as of yet, hopefully, though, they do explore her more outside of just being a love interest. I think she could have potential. Unless she dies, of course...
Gabe's...well, um, to put it mildly, I think he's a little cunt. Not because he wants to get into Clementine's knickers, but because he's just a whinging, typically annoying teenager.
Trip and Eleanor have yet to leave much of an opinion on me, nor did Conrad or Marianna, for that matter. So, far, really, most of the cast are just "eh", but they have left more of an impression on me than majority of the Cabin Group.
I personally like Gabe for a reason. I find his personality realistic at some point when zombie apocalypse happens during his age. They are a complete opposite of Sarah. Gabe tends to act tough to protect his family but always screws it up.

right before the end of episode one when Javi rescues the family im like "wow they really managed to make all these characters likeable/relateable Telltale will have a lot to work with with players worrying about their safety" and then the finale happens haha.
even Gabe i could relate too because i was a shithead teenager not too long ago and he's not as hopeless feeling as ben

How so?

… moreUnless I'm forgetting something, I wouldn't say he's really screwed up as of yet, just had a few overreactions that were ultimately harmless.

Yaya wasn't as bad as I thought.
Rufus seemed decent guy. I spared his life. And Lonnie. I hope he's ok and will meet him again.

Mariana. Really the only character that I liked in this new season. A shame she's dead.

...Really? Cause the only new thing I remember is her being lead into the car.

Boat Boat Boat Boat Boat!
Nice one.
Mariana, but you know
May god sacrifice a candy bar in heaven for Mariana
I love Javier, I think he's a great protagonist and pretty cool, pretty and hot. I'm pretty impressed with his voice too and he's quite funny

Mariana.
Fuck you telltale!

I second that. virtual high five

Fuck Wall Street
Yeah, he didn't screw anything up yet.
The worst thing he's done is mistaking water for alcohol during Kate's surgery if you let him stay.
That's not too bad.
