Okay, just saw the trailer, so time to officially pop my waiting thread cherry with muh thoughts:
First off, what's going on with the sound and why is it so shit at the beginning? Seriously, I had to rewind four times to even hear most of it.
Trailer is way too short for my tastes. Hell, at least play old clips with relevant voiceovers like you did at the beginning to pad it out a bit.
Spent over half of it on the worstcharacterplot device ever--Mmm, isn't that lovely? Hopefully, they can pull something out of their ass to make him interesting cause he's worse than Tripp or Mariana in that regard.
Also, I see they're channeling In Harm Way's advertising with that shotgun freeze frame there, so I hope that's a bait-n-switch and not the spoiler it appears to be. At least it's with a waste of space instead of a main plot point this time.
Ah, finally something interesting and it's only 0:51 seconds in! Hopefully, whatever beef Clementine has with David will help make his character even more interesting than it would be with just the Garcias, determinately Conrad, and Badger around.
So Ava really is a babystealer--can't say nobody saw that coming. Unless David is the mastermind behind that particular move(which would be partially lame, if I'm honest), I really hope they can actually use that and keep the [Faux?] Affably Evil aspect of her to make her the multifaceted major antagonist I've been waiting for since Season 2. FINGERS CROSSED!!! TIMES INFINITE!
Is AJ sick or something? Cause while I know he always looked a little weird due to being a baby, he looks noticeably pale with eyeshadows in a nighttime scene.
Guess we know what that scene everyone's been hyping up for last two-three weeks is gonna be. I'll reserve any thoughts I might've had when we actually see the damn thing.
No Kate, Gabe, or Conrad in the trailer, I notice. Hopefully, they give them something to do in the episode proper or I'll be VERY disappointed in the episode since they're the only main ones with any actual development and complexity going in.

AJ still alive? Well that sucks... haven't really seen anything in the trailer that impresses me or that I didn't expect. Seems like more rock and roll action over character development, character bonding and dialouge.

SOME THINGS I'M INTERESTED IN
AJ LOOKS SO PALE! Idk if that's just Telltale fucking up or if he's seriously sick... He was coughing during that scene where Clem met Ava, so I think AJ's condition worsens and whether or not you choose to go with Ava, Clem ends up resorting to Ava and the New Frontier for help. I'm guessing that in exchange for medicine and protection for AJ, Clem had to do things for the New Frontier that she didn't necessarily want to, but had to in order to keep AJ safe. But since Clem left the New Frontier, what happened to AJ?
Javi kill that bitch
David you best watch yourself... if you hurt Clem I will destroy
DAVID DUDE YOUR PEOPLE TOTALLY KILLED YOUR DAUGHTER.... m'dude you best drown in that guilt
Ava betrayin me like this... I knew it was coming but damn
I was referring to Badger, smartass. Javier is more than okay--definitely a nice change of pace from Lee, the 400 Days crew, and Clementine--but he lacks any real personal drive in the story so far.

Oh, it's cool--I don't like thinking about him either. Though me swiping in plot device should've tipped you off, assuming I didn't edit that in later.
Actually, I thought you were a petty Javier-hater for second there myself.
I'm sure how unbelievable him and the family he's traveling with are for survivors who've scrapped together for 4 years are has been covered, so I'll skip that.
He's starts as a cliche. Former athlete who lived big before sabotaging his own career through stupid decisions that see him forced out in shame? That's not just Pete Rose, you could get two Longest Yards and a Dead Island character out of that, and I'm pretty sure that's The Rocks character in almost every movie.
The character himself is unlikeable. The first flashback would be an acceptably tragic moment if it weren't for the second. The second is where we find out he's returned home after having put the career he ruined himself as a top priority, which was a point of contention for David. This guys idea of getting involved in a quarrel between his sister in law and the brother who's letting him stay at his home when he's at his lowest is to declare that she's going to leave his ass? And as we find out in the first flashback, Javier is still just as shitty when he misses his own fathers death not long after the second flashback. In both, David echoes comments about Javier not being there for his family. So the catalyst that leads to his reformed attitude towards being there for his family is half of them dying or being killed, and him stuck with the others and no place to go? He didn't make this choice because he's a changed man after his experiences, it was forced on him so we could get to the story 4 years later already.
He's also either a general douchebag, or an idiot, but either way a hypocrite. 4 years later, and his water is what he forgets when they leave the campfire. Ok, stupid but he might have been in a rush. But the trailer in the junkyard? He uses a ladder already set up by a barricade, then sneaks in because its locked. It's fully stocked, it's maintained, and yet he considers spending the night there rather than the likelihood that this trailer and the food they're taking belongs to someone? And then said someone shows up, and he tries to convince them to let him keep the fuel he took from their junkyard because come on buddy? He's been surviving for 4 years, he's done everything he can to protect his family except develop situational awareness? Alright. And after all this, he actually complains about Clementine stealing the things he likely stole from the junkyard?
This isn't a complex, emotional character. This is guest star on Seinfeld. This whole situation would be better suited for some kind of wacky comedy. He has the most characterization of the new characters, but there's no middle ground to who his character was and who his character has become. He hops in a van and says "I'm reliable now. TIME SKIP!"
Because TT was too busy worrying about maximizing profits by luring old players in and making it seem like a new franchise to potential customers, they sacrificed character building resulting in a disjointed mess of a protagonist who comes off as both shallow and forced.
This guys idea of getting involved in a quarrel between his sister in law and the brother who's letting him stay at his home when he's at his lowest is to declare that she's going to leave his ass?
To be fair, that's detereminate. Misleadingly indicated, but still determinate to those who want to pursue the apparent love subplot and/or stand up to David.

Yeeeah, admittedly quite a few things fit that type of description.

I hope we will play as Clemy, at the moment when she kills David
P:S I'm also hoping we will play as Clemy in present time 50/50 with javier the rest of the season
I told you guys! I TOLD YOU DAVID WAS AN ASSHOLE! He's a dipshit asshole! Episode comes out, somebody please model swap Badger with David so… more Javi's kicking his butt. I'd feel so much better. T.T
And I just noticed in the bit where Clementine's surrounded by the group holding A.J, there's some fire burning behind her. It looks like a camp, different from the first shot where Clementine's aiming a gun.
I hope that we get a Kenny Jane situation at the end but with Clem and David and David should get a slow death if you let Clementine do her magic. I really hope that Javi doesn't steal the kill.
I hope she slashes his eyes out and cuts his jaw off then lets walkers do the rest... oh... umm... I mean I hope she does it with honor and courage.

True, the misleading nature of the option was kinda what got to me, considering the nature of his response from it, and its the only option to argue with him. Rather than confront David about his bitterness towards Javier, Javier can either straight up attempt to further the rift on their marriage or say absolutely nothing. And I think the nature of the only confrontational response he has speaks to his character, as he either holds his tongue or goes into full on destruction mode.

Agreed.
Oh because it can be justified to take a toddler away from the only family he has ever known. Yes Clementine likely did a bunch of crap to the New Frontier but they are also the group of people that shot a 10 year old girl for stealing pudding.
It doesn't matter what the circumstances are stealing a child from their loving guardians arms is outright disgusting.

Don't they have all that?
Arghhh, Ava... Since the release day I was like:

Oh, okay.
Thanks.
I love that mark in the back of his hand. Very badass, but also classy. If I ever get a tatoo I will put it there.
I know! That's pretty strange that the MAIN character would get the most screen time...

Even stranger they forgot how to write good characters when they made him...
AJ is a little sister confirmed.
Alright I'll crack. What's wrong with Javi? Give me all you got (as professionally as you can please).
I was referring to Badger, smartass. Javier is more than okay--definitely a nice change of pace from Lee, the 400 Days crew, and Clementine--but he lacks any real personal drive in the story so far.
That's what happens when you spend the bulk of it on a diabolus ex machina and a pointless (and somewhat out of nowhere) grudge.
What else is new? I'm at least hoping the flashback and the part with David will at least make all that mean something.
Fair enough. I deserve that
ᵀᵒ ᵇᵉ ᶠᵃᶦʳ ᶦᵗ ʷᵃˢᶰ'ᵗ ᵉˣᵃᶜᵗᶫʸ ᶜᶫᵉᵃʳ, ᵇᵘᵗ ᴵ ᵍᵘᵉˢˢ ᴵ'ᵐ ʲᵘˢᵗ ᵘˢᵉ ᵗᵒ ᵃᶫᶫ ᵗʰᵉ ᴶᵃᵛᶦ ʰᵃᵗᵉ ʰᵉʳᵉ⋅⋅⋅
Uh...what? Is that a Bioshock reference or something? Or maybe the fact that AJ might stand for Ava Junior the next time we see him?
Marry me?
Ready to go bowling?
Maybe a personal enemy for her then?

Why is the Cuban cuck takes the most part of the trailer i was hyped only since 0:52 scene started
Oh shit after that Clemy scene i'm going to kill every person from "The New Frontier" group that TTG give us choice to kill
I hope we will play as Clemy, at the moment when she kills David
P:S I'm also hoping we will play as Clemy in present time 50/50 with javier the rest of the season
-clementine playability in present time
David is going to die in hard Hard HARD agony after what he did to Clemy, and i hoping we will play as Clemy
They should also model swap Javi with Clem to make it even better.

That would be amazing, I hope that happens.
What if he is the "brander"
Nothings better than a 13 year old girl beating the crap out of a fully grown man
what does Ointment means?
What did he do to Clem then?
Eh, I don't know how much of a role he'll play in present day as that AJ scene was a flashback.
Every time we get something regarding Telltale's walking dead I get reminded of how violent so many fans are. XD

Thanks for sharing. Can't say I fully agree, but you provided some interesting reasons.
