People need to be more open!
Hi everyone, I have been checking what people think of The Walking Dead A new Frontier and I see a lot of people bashing it for a lot of reasons and fair enough, everyone has their own opinion that's fine but I see a lot of people complaining because we don't play as Clementine, and I agree I would love to play as Clementine again she is my Favourite character but you have to be more open to change. We have to let other characters get a moment to shine, as for me, I am really liking Javier. Would I like to play as Clem?, of course I would but she had her own season, I'm just grateful she is one of the main characters. Now don't get me wrong the game is not perfect, I wont ruin it for you but the way they executed your past choices was stupid but that doesn't mean the game is bad. Telltale have got to tailor to the new fans who haven't played any of the past seasons, they made that clear in some of their past interviews, so making Javier the main focus makes sense. What I'm trying to say is "Don't give up on The Walking Dead A New Frontier".
Would I recommend it? Hell yeah I would its amazing!

YES! Clementine is still a major character and she's as awesome as ever. Plus Javier is a really cool character and is a breath of fresh air. I love this game.

Exactly, Im just happy Clem is around and I agree, I am really enjoying the game so far.
For all the disappointment, there were things I genuinely enjoyed about the debut. I like Javier, I thought his introduction and interactions were well done and he feels like a genuinely relatable character. I enjoyed seeing Clementine, who's she's become and, depending on your responses, brief sparks that who I knew is still somewhere under her shielded demeanor. The length has hampered development for me, I'd have liked to spend more time with her and the new characters to build more attachment to them. This was a big problem with episode 2 for me, hub conversations were very limited and I'd have rather spent more time with the characters rather than have so many big scale battles. We're still just getting to know them.
That said, there's still just over half the season left to build on this, at the very least it's worth sticking around to see how it's going to unfold.
I couldn't agree more and I'm really looking forward to the next couple of episodes, lets just hope that Telltale doesn't mess with our emotions to much.
This unhealthy obsession with clementine among fans Is very sad and weird. I understand connecting with the character but I didn't see people this outraged about Lee dying
Don't get me wrong Clem is amazing but you gotta give other characters a chance.
Exactly. The clementine fans are extremely closed minded and not willing to even try anything new unless clementine is the main focus.

I agree it's more refreshing to play as a new character and Clem is still there though it would have been nice to see hints of those 42 versions of Clem depending on how we shaped her in previous seasons rather than just changing one line and the different flashback depending on our season 2 ending.
I actually prefer Javier Over clementine, I think it's nice to have a new story, I'm enjoying season 3 so far and the only criticism I would have is that the episodes were longer.
The season is good but not amazing. I refuse to beleive that you have to either love or hate it. It has huge glaring issues that keeps it from being a excellent piece of work but it's not just a mess either.
^ That's called being open. You can't praise this season, at least not so far. It has many problems that we need to recognise and not just glaze over.

I agree, looking back at seasons 2 trailer finale, they were really hyping up that Clementine would be different for everyone in the next season but sadly it never happened but I am still enjoying The New Frontier.
Yes I agree that's my main problem its to short, I think they could have kept episode 1 and 2 as one episode.
The season isn't perfect, I do agree, but a lot of people are giving up on it because we don't play as Clem or your past choices didn't matter, I don't like the way they executed your past choices but its to early to give up for all we know are past choices could be a deciding factor in the final episode.
