Let's call it a day
Is it just me, or there is a lot of tension in this forum about S3 premiere? Sure it didnt start pretty well and I wont defend it as the flaws are too big to ignore, though some could not be avoided due to S2 (will explain in other thread), but still there is more than enough room for improvent (S2E5 gave so much feelings and treated a huge divide among fans). Telltale gave us The Wolf Among us, Tales from Borderlands, S1, Batman? (Haven't played it yet due to low framerate). Heck, even minecraft was fun. I think that they deserve to have a bad day. I sure hope that they will get their sh!t together. So, how about a truce untill Ep3 gets out, at least?

If there isn't a huge outcry from fans then the rest of the season will be just as banal and uninspired as the first two episodes.
It is possible that we won't get more of TWDG ever or at least for a long time, so I think I speak for many people when I ask Telltale to please get their heads out of their asses and save their most popular series from this butchery.
I would rather play Minesweeper now.
At least that game causes me to have some emotions than this heap of trash.
"Heck, even minecraft was fun."
What I believe about Tries that bind so far is that it is a prelude to the actual season 3. In ties that bind Javi gets to NF, the place our Season is taking place and revolves around. Ep 1&2 are 2 hours combined, meaning that there is some hope that the rest of the episodes will last about 90 minutes. First 2 episodes arent that good, because they literaly force you to get at NF. Just my opinion.
Didn't think the premiere was a misstep overall personally, outside of the kenny/jane flashbacks.
I feel you there, shit is stomach turning.
quote by some some one random guy on the internet
I mean, I wont lie, Ep 1 and 2 I was pretty disappointed, and I was hoping that maybe after they got the whole plot set up, than many the season will pick up.
But then after hearing Melissa's interview and about how she isn't super happy about the season is turning out, and that the game has been rewritten constantly, and even episode 3 is being rewritten, that definitely isn't exactly a confidence booster.
Well TWAU was apparently completely rewritten and that turned out fine
In Pierre we trust.
Yeah but Wolf was only rewritten once, and already started off extremely strong. It would appear that Walking Dead was being rewritten constantly all the way up to release, with the premier not being super strong, and is now still getting rewritten constantly.
Well a lot was changed in twau from what I hear
The original plot was kinda simular just that it had Branagin discover Bigby was The Big Bad Wolf and thought he was the one killing people. The plot would overall be the same with the Crooked Man and all, but Branagin would be involved, but Bill Willingham asked them to change it because it was too similar to one of the comics stories.
I chose to lick it...
Eh I dunno, to me episodes 4 and especially 5 of Wolf were terribly lower in quality than the first 3 episodes. (At least episodes 1 and 3, 2 was pretty ok but 1 and 3 were definitely the highlight of Wolf for me.)
and you're telling me all this because?
I enjoyed ANF, don't really think Telltale had such a bad day, I've got high hopes for episode 3.
Well the other problem is that telltale themselves really have no clue what to do with this product. Even from the conception it seemed they lack any solid direction and depth to the series. To me it seems Telltale released a product they really had not invested quality time in fleshing out and actually creating to make a well crafted and well written series. And seeing how only a scene of voice over for clementine has been recorded which even that has been suggested of rewritten further states to me that they really have no direction or structure for this product. Granted rewrites of script do happen but telltale has drastically rewritten characters, scenes, script, etc and they still have no solid direction. This is part in why i don't want any further installments because i feel even at this point Telltale is not quite sure where to go and continue from here while also creating a quality walking dead content.
Yeah, the interview has me worried too. Especially about the rewriting. I thought that Telltale moved on to monthly releases because they were going to move away from their "Live Development" where they rework scenes and dialogue based on player feedback. I thought that the quicker releases meant that they had a story nailed down already, and they just needed to voice, animate and refine it. But I still hear that rewrites are back! Greeeeat!.....
Edit: Not that I hate rewrites too much. (After all, TWAU, TFTB, were rewritten and I assume the adventure pass of MCSM and the Finale of GOT needed a lot of revision and reworking) But whenever that happens, the episode takes longer to release, who knows how much the story changed from the original product, and it just gives me a funny feeling.
To prove your point wrong?
As I've said before i never once believed the walking dead would be a monthly release. And the fact telltale has no clue what they want to do with this series does not help that at all.
In that case it failed.
At least I failed trying and without ranting about the after ending flashback.
Except i do get why some people here didn't like it. They have been complaining about it since late December. Hard to miss the 100 threads about it. My comment was only speaking for myself.
I have hopes as well.
