  • The plot is survival, like Season 1 and Season 2.

... as I see it, survival in the apocalypse is like breathing in real life, it's just something that you have to do in order to live, therefore breathing is not a plot. It's the way of life.

Overall, the plot is... Javier wants to protect his family at all costs, he also wants to find a safe place that they could call home

You see that's the problem most players have, we just got thrown into this responsibility, it wasn't handed to us like Clem in S1, step by step, no. And most people don't care about his "family".

as evident by the constant reminder that they hate being in the car

I wouldn't be surprised if they spent 4 years in that car, because that would explain why they act like they are on a road trip.

I hope I'm not ruining this season for you.

  • Hey, no worries! I understand you may not like it while I personally do, but it's all opinion!

I do agree on the breathing and survival comparison, it's not a true plot. We are given the reigns of the father figure quite fast in TNF, but that's primarily the cause of us coming from a family while Lee was on his way to jail, presumably having no one but his parents in Macon.

As far as plot, it is still early, and the shorter episodes are what hurts this for many, but I really like the direction it's going.

Also, I really like the choices this season, basically choose Clementine or choose your family. Of course, many won't be as connected to the family as they are connected to Clementine, but the choices really make you think! Should I kill Conrad, a survivor, just for a girl? Then it's up to you... Save a girl from the "evil" group by killing an unstable man, or use Clementine for bargaining so you can make sure Kate gets help.

However, I don't want every choice to be about Clementine, it's why I love Season 1 Episode 1, the choice between Carley and Doug wasn't very hard if people were focused on Lee getting laid, but Doug was a very lovable man!

Overall, I don't have much to complain about besides the length of the episodes and lack of branching dialogue during down time is sort of annoying, but I do have high hopes for the story and am excited to see more.
