Would you enjoy replaying Season 1 or/and 2 as a different character?
And if yes, as who?
Doesn't need to be out of the group, could also be as the St. John's or someone from Crawford or whoever crossed our way during the game.
I think it could be a "the good old days" feeling, no? Since ppl complain about the introduction of a new storyline.
I think almost every perspective would be cool to play as, also if it would change the canon storyline, cause if it wouldn't, could get a bit boring if we already knew the fate of the group?
sorry if thread already exists, I'm on mobile, can't find search function :l

I suppose playing as Luke could be a fun little perspective change. I suppose Sarah or Jane would've also been a consideration, but considering some of what that entails, I think it's safe to say we'd rather not.
Kenny.
I'd love to ruin everything for everyone throughout the course of 9 episodes and still be considered a great character...
Season 1? Hell no
Season 2? Most definitely fuck yess
If we're talking going back to re-experience the first two seasons from another perspective, then I can't say I would, I mean it'd feel kinda weird seeing Lee and Clementine acting differently than the way I played them. Both Lee and Clementine were great protagonists, and I'd rather leave the seasons the way they are instead of dragging the series any further down than ANF has done so far. I want the fond memories left untouched lol
xd I can see your point, but I think there is no way that Lee and Clem don't bond and it's not like you didn't experience your story with these two. You'd just play the story again but this time from a different perspective..
I imagine playing as Sarah being not that funny...
Jane would be awesome, but it would feel weird changing her actions or how Season 2 Finale would play out.
I mean, the writers made a lot of chars one-dimensional and outstanding personalities, cause normal ppl would be too boring I guess and it would just feel weird changing them into not breaking ranks so much. OR we could even choose to do that even more often..
You mean, you didn't enjoy playing as Clem in S2 or you didn't like how every1 acted around you?
Playing as Kenny would be so much fun... The options of replies in conversations would be great. :'D
He probably deserves his own series, like what happened after they split in Savanna. I can definitely see that happening!
I loved playing as clem but if they offered someone like Kenny to be playable I would have picked that...clems actions I'm season 2 we're unrealistic af
The possibilities of ruining others' lives are endless!
I never really saw Clems action as too out of line, you have to realize that people are forced to mature way too fast in this world, or you get left behind, Clems mental age is probably quite a bit higher in some areas than her actual age, just look at Sarah, she didnt mature fast, and she didnt do too well.
I also really liked playing as Clem, who you could trust suddenly becomes alot harder, since youre a (sorta) weak little girl, so you cant solve things with your fists the way Lee could, Walkers also felt like a real threat, since you again, didnt have the body strength to dispatch them quickly, (stuff like her axe getting stuck, killing the walker in the shed). I also liked the consequences of know Clems history, which influenced alot of things, Lees fate and what he taught her, influenced alot of my decisions, which was a fresh experience, from the easy way of "be the good guy no matter what".
I feel like playing as Kenny would make the game boring to me, just like A New Frontier is kinda boring because we play as a strong adult again, who is leader of the group in 2 seconds flat
I wouldn't mind that if they were able to import the save data from the original season, so you could see your decisions from a different perspective. Or maybe even during one of the time jumps in season 1/2, but I don't know how I'd feel about a whole season of that. Maybe as a bonus episode like 400 Days if its the latter, I would actually be interested in that.
How on earth did this thread turn into hating on Kenny and Jane?
Season 1, no not really. I loved playing as Lee.
Season 2, DEFINITELY.
S1 only lee had that throne no characters have enough balls for the main character of the masterpiece season 1 only lee
S2 there is no character i liked like clem so no i see only clem be the main character in my opinion
I want to play as an armless Lee in Season 2. It would be crazy to see how much would change.
Mmm I feel like some misunderstand my question.
I don't mean a trade for Lee or Clem - I mean we did already play that, so nobody can take that from us .. xd
I mean, just for fun, to replay S1 or 2, but this time from another perspective.
Kicking doors was out of the line but I also agree with your points on why clems playtime was good that's why I said I loved playing as clem...but you always know season 2 could have been handled better than it was in many ways...telltale listened to fans but with their own minds so they let us play as clem only in flashbacks their will be no equilibrium in this game
Edit:
I would like to play as lee in season two
I do think that Season 2 could have benefited from a clearer sense of direction, Season 1 was very clear in that it was a long trek to find Clems parents, as well as a boat, whereas season 2 was mostly just where the wind blew them
I think it would be interesting to play as Clementine in season 1. Seeing her parents alive, seeing Lee next to the police car, etc. Even though she didn't do much since she was little and didn't know how to shoot until close to the end of the season, I still think it would be cool to play as her or maybe Lilly. Ruling the motel and telling everyone what to do, shooting Doug or Carley, Taking the R.V if they let you stay with them, or surviving after they leave Lilly for dead. Lilly would be a cool character to play as well.
I'm starting to get the feeling you don't like Jane very much xD
Yea, definitely agree.
Also we shouldn't forget about the Everett's drugstore. Lilly ran that place too and we could experience how things were there or how they got there etc.
Always thought it'd be very dark and intriguing to play as Andy St. John from the time that the outbreak started up until discovering the Motor Inn group.
Playing as the cabin group while they escape Howes the first time and try to survive in the wild would be really cool. We could learn a lot more about them and what they went through.
But the ultimate idea, of course, is playing as Kenny during his time between s1 and s2. Telltale even considered this at first and I really wish it had happened. Kenny's miraculous survival and time alone is one of the vaguest parts of the lore and I would be overjoyed to learn about it.
Sorry if this isn't quite relevant, but I think it's along the same lines. Might not be, though.
My dad and I both love The Walking Dead, but we both somewhat dislike 400 Days. I couldn't tell you why I don't like it, but I know he dislikes it because he feels the choices he made with the characters had almost no long-term ramifications, and he didn't feel like he cared much about the characters. But then it kinda hit me.
What if, in 400 Days, you played as the Cabin Group instead?
That'd be the bee's knees! I mean, think about it! We could find out how Luke lost his parents - or why he has his hero complex. Maybe it's what life was like at Howe's, and him butting heads with Mr. Carver. Pete's could be teaching Nick to shoot, the story about nearly getting shot by Nick, or something of similar ilk. Maybe we find out what Nick was like before he lost his mom, maybe even having to put his mom out of his misery. Maybe you could have Alvin scrounging up some juice boxes - or killing George, a potentially huge moment - Rebecca could be something about her pregnancy "arc", Carlos could be looking after Sarah like Lee looked after Clem. The possibilities are endless! And, hey, if you wanted to - I know I'd like this - maybe you play as Jane and have to watch Jaime get more and more miserable and depressed until she makes her "decision" on the rooftops. Maybe give some insight into why she is the way she is in the second season - though I really like her character, it's safe to say some... do not.
Anyway, this might be a pants idea, but I figured it was one interesting enough to share. I'd much rather see more of the cabin group (and Jane) as opposed to playing through 400 Days and experiencing brief flashes from people I really struggled to care about. That might just be me, though. I think that having these perspectives for 400 Days would be much more intruiging, however. Especially Luke and Jane. I wanna know more about them ; _ ;
Sorry if this was the wrong place to share this idea. I just thought it was kinda cool.
This would've been the best DLC I could possibly think of, hands down. Thinking back on it, we really didn't learn a whole lot at all about the cabin group at all, huh? Heck, you could do all those backstories for them and then for a finale show how the group ended up coming together and figuring out a way to bust out of Howe's.
...and yeah, sprinkle a little bit if Jane & Jaime on top for good measure
Bam. Twenty dollar add-on with even more value than we're getting for ANF, and you probably came up with it in like 5 minutes
I feel like if Luke was playable in season 2 it would be alot better its not that i dont like Clementine as a playable character like some people do in the forum but i do think that Luke would have been a much better playable character than Clem.
And that's why I said she wouldn't be very appealing to play as as is.
They were both Creators Pets, so they're the obvious first choices for playable characters.
I'm not quite sure what you're getting at with that third line, if I'm being honest.
Btw kinda surprised nobody came up with the dude Lee meets in the end.
Also Ben would be hilarious, maybe including his story before.. With the girl he told about who took too many pills. omg, I can already envision the cover :,D The Walking Dead: Ben ...hell yea. ;/
So really you guys just want to know more about the characters and how they wound up where they did. I've always pictured a 400-Days-styled DLC pack featuring Lilly, Molly, Vernon, maybe even Carver and Howe's and what actually went down with Luke and co., etc.
Lee alone is a huge part in why Season 1 was so good so definitely no, but for Season 2, I'd love playing as Kenny!
I wouldn't mind a Lilly DLC - after Lilly parts ways with the main group. Either having been left by the side of the road or having stolen the vehicle, either way wouldn't have had to have been explained if they started it with her on foot. A few throw away lines referencing either being left by the side of the road, or running out of gas, and they have a jump start to an easy story beginning.
Agreed. Lilly needs some love.
Did they?
Eh. Personally, I mainly want some information on who Sarita was and what she got up to before and after she met him.
The Stranger? Huh...you know, that might be pretty interesting. Playing as a guy as he loses what he cares about and slowly turns to vengeance.
This guy makes us all look like amateurs, doesn't he?
Brownie, sometimes, I envy your brain. You're now required to write that as a mini-story, by the way. Like, right now. Stop working on that secret project of yours.
We need answers, Browne.
I just kinda like S2 Jane, that's about it..
You know I've always thought that depending on 400 days choices that there would be a determinant group which Clem finds...
Just imagine all the fun times with Eddie & Wyatt.
But The Cabin Crew before they met/ became a group DLC is a good strategy to somehow make the player care about these characters in S2.
