I hope Telltale does not continue that boring "sole-survivor" bullshit. We had that often enough by now. Can't we just keep a group of people and continue over multiple seasons with them? Like, actually care about characters and develop them?
In the actual tv-series, the entire cast isn't trashed after each season either.
I agree, and I don't think they will. I just wanted to know who people would chose if it came down to that.
True, but a select few characters are created for that exact reason.
The Walking Dead does this thing each season where new characters are added just for them to be killed within the same season.
It's the same formula and everything, just done more coyly and with more discretion. Its not "The Sole Survivor" formula, but the "Obviously Selected Survivor" formula instead.

True. The tv-series isn't perfect but it keeps a quite big main cast alive and adds enough new characters. I just wish Telltale would write their story more like this.
They only make it hard for us to actually care about any of their character or the story, since we all have the feeling it's all pointless anyway, thanks to everyone ending up dead eventually.
It would have been Kenny. If we're talking new cast? I'd need more time to think about how I feel about all of them.
Gabe. As long as his Character continues to progress as well as it has so far, yes. As long as he doesn't FUCK UP, and as long as he keeps moving forward, I would treat him like gold.

I Feel like they should wait on Killing main characters like they did with episode 3 since telltale only killed antagonists in this episode ((Max is kind of justified but Badger is indeed a complete asshole.)) and left everyone in the group Alive ((Not counting Conrad s Determinant 2nd Death scene.))
I want Tripp to survive, my next choices being Eleanor and Kate. Knowing telltale, I'll be lucky if even one of them makes it through the season!
Ava. Wild card!
Yup. I'm very surprised that Tripp and Eleanor didn't die already, but I absolutely don't think they'll survive this season. Only Javier, Clem and Jesus are kinda save imo.

I'm probably going to get a lot of shit for this but I still feel conflicted about a lot of the new characters in this series, even in season 2 I didn't really think Luke was a developed enough character for me to truly understand why everyone seemed to love him, and especially in his death. I found the circumstances in his death tragic, but the aftermath made me disagree how everyone was calling him 'The New Lee', but honestly the writing for some of these characters this season really make up for most of my issues with the survivors in S2 - an example was the comparisons of how Mariana had effected me a lot more than Sarah did in all her episodes. Honestly Javi was a character that made me feel like it was a first time in a long while that I felt someone could be nearer to how I think the strongest characters in all the 3 series are like (Kenny, Lee, Clem etc.)
--- So I'm going to be boring and going for an obvious character, because I really think Javier is so great, I also think Conrad can stay a little longer ---
I still can't understand Ava's character
AJ, crawling around and babbling to zombies.
IN ORDER:
1. Javier: He is a really well made main Protagonist.
2. Tripp: Episode 3 built him up to be a really good character with quite the good character arch and emotion.
3. Lastly, David would be my third choice as he has proven to be a great semi-hero/semi-villain.
Javier. Him and Clem's (determinant) brother/sister relationship has really grown on me and it's made me like him as a character more.
Telltale did a good job with Episode 3. They didn't revolve really any choice around Clementine; They gave a HUGE purpose to Conrad; They built up Tripp, Kate, Jesus, and David exceptionally well, and the choices seemed to matter along with the branching dialogue.
David. Considering Clem's relationship with David thus far, I'm just thinking what a powerful influence that would be on her character if he were the sole survivor aside from Clem. Who do I want to survive Season 3? - David, Tripp, Javi, Clem, and Gabe. If one of the love interests is to survive - Eleanor over Kate. ( For Tripp and about time a doctor lives awhile )
Javier, Clem, AJ and Gabe.
I like to see a strong surviving community for the next Season, like Rick's group from the comics.
I don't like Kate. The most bad mother figure. Hell she is just able to leave her son behind in Richmond just to be with Javier.
I hope she dies this Season.

Oh man xD I didn't realize I was replying to you lol. I meant to post that as a standalone comment, but yeah I whole heartedly agree with your list in order. While I would have also liked for Conrad to stick around, I couldn't bring Javier to not shoot him for Clem. It's one of the biggest things that strengthens their bond IMO. And Tripp has grown on me more, and David is without a doubt one of my favorite characters of the season. I'd like to see him stick around longer.
Hate to break it to you, but Clementine didn't react much angrily to what I did; of course I still called her a friends, and you have the option to continue being a dick to her throughout the Episode; but she was pretty nice.
To me; Conrad was really able to make me like him, I thoroughly forgave him and liked his new role.
Gabe. I like him. He's cute. Not like, hot cute, more like sad puppy cute.
So I've heard about Clem not being that angry. But I'll still remember it in the back of my mind that Javi didn't stand up for her when she needed him to, regardless if it changes Clem's personality or not. That make any sense?
Eleanor is for Tripp.
The group I would want to survive would be Javier, Clementine, AJ (Determinent as to if you gave him the injection), Gabe, David, Tripp, and Eleanor.
If Conrad/Max can survive as well, then I'll be happy to add them to it.
However, someone would need to die at the finale, so out of my list, I feel like Kate, Gabe, or David will be the season 3 finale death.
Hey man, she practically begged him to come with them and was still messed up over it while they were on their way towards the exit.
I was thinking Ava as well! She's a total bad ass lol
