Ava or Tripp is the hardest decision ive ever had in this game Fuck that Cunt
I'm not sure how to feel about her portrayal in this episode, honestly.
Can anyone link the synopsis of episode 5 please?
Anyone else get the idea that she used to be a gambler herself?
Her bullet pierced eye socket is what's gonna help me sleep tonight, fuck that was beautiful.
Hell yeah it was!

If you can edit your thread to be more specific to story discussion instead of a generic character appreciation/hate thread, that would be cool. Thanks.
Yup. Actually the first time I had to pause the game, leave the room and think about the situation. I hate that there is no choice to be quiet. Javier would never pick one.
I hope her death will be similar to Norma's (Michonne). Slow and painful, with fear all over her face.
I wanted to commit janecide so much after she killed Tripp when I asked for him to live. But I thought about it and thought that it would make Javier seem like a hug asshole if he just sold his friend down the river, so I just kept the choice.
Ehh she is still in bland villain territory but I did like Telltale pulling the switcherroo with the Tripp/Ava choice surprised they haven't tried that before.
While I don't really think much of Joan as a character, I'll admit that her deceitfulness during Javier's false decision on whether to spare either Ava or Tripp, was pretty damn twisted on her part.
I don't think even Carver or Randall made me feel this appalled by their actions.
YOU FUCKING LIAR JOAN DIE BITCH DIEEEE
Amen!
Is it better now?
Eh, Joan is just a character who has very, very little development, as far as villains go. We've seen her, like, 3 times, and we know next to nothing about her. She's difficult to rationalize.
Yup, looks good!
Its a shame really, I thought she would turn out to be a good antagonist. However, she turned out to be a massive power mad moron by the end of it. She may as well have just asked people to call her Mein Fuhrer, Il Duce or simply Dr. Evil for how the episode ended.
Agreed she's the weakest part of an overall pretty solid episode, it's too bad if there's one thing I learned from Daredevil and Iron Fist its that little old Asian lady's can make some pretty intimidating villains.
I doubt she'll be getting any sympathy but she is a really enjoyable antagonist. That final scene was great and the voice acting really had me interested.
I loved it. A perfect twist.
Like someone else said here, her voice acting was great. So intimidating...
Yeah, it was her delivery that kept me from giving her a squeamish look.
"There's a horde of zombies outside"
REEEEEEEEEEEE SHITLORD BIOFASCIST NECROPHOBE
I know, right? Where's the option to shoot them both?
And I played dreamfall chapters. The old Asian lady scientist turned out to be an evil power hungry woman.
We always hate the villains, but there's no good plot twist without them. And that bitch is a good one. In the most bad way possible.
Yes its like she turned into an over the top pantomime villain! Really strange writing again from Telltale
Being totally honest that move didnt fit what we know of her character, shes supposably someone who does dodgy thngs behind the scenes, however executing people in games on a stage in front of everyone its just mindless. I mean in my game she kills one of her own people after javi chose the other.
Joan's move at the end I think was the best thing in this episode. Just think about it if Javier having a crush on Elle and cold hearted refusing Kate's warm offer of 'ship'. Scene in the square Elle messed the things up and you trying to save Tripp still trying to approve her that Javier cares about Elle and her friends and because you are knowing Tripp longer than Ava. She just brother's lieutenant, and whoever you guys having a brothers you will think twice about saving Ava . But not about that now what comes next was best thing Joan steps up like a Karma to Elle and show how to recognize good people and the bad ones. Boom Joan drops the mic-I mean bullet
