EYYY you mentioned my thread lol. Makes me feel weird to think I may have influenced the game but I personally loved the scene. I mean it did answer all my questions. Basically everything you said summed my feelings on the scene so cool
The moment I saw that scene came on I knew some people might have a problem with it but I didn't expect this many, and some people seem to l… moreet it ruin the whole episode for them.
Honestly, the scene was great. Before playing I got spoiled just a tad so I knew the subject would be brought up and I was scared they wouldn't handle it correctly, but they did perfectly. For those saying "It was redundant, they didn't need to add it." Sorry but news flash guys (yes, guys because I haven't seen a single woman complain about the scene) it happens, it's realistic, it's natural, it's inevitable, and it's something a lot of people wonder about believe it or not. I have been on these forums for years and if I had a dollar for every period thread I have seen...
"Realistic problems"
"The Menstruating Edition"
"Does Clem know about puberty?"
"What do girls do about their periods?"
...and, like, 50 more. I would have a lot of dollars.

I still don't get what was the point of the scene... it didn't develop her or the supposed story, I guess it's supposed to present that she's still a girl, which is kinda twist-y that shows off that all scenes with her "adult" side of her in S2 just vanished... Was this scene necessary... meh... not really...
If this is okay to have in games then I can't wait 'tll we start the real talk about boners when AJ grows up...
yes it was totally uncalled for. i can stomach people getting their body parts chopped off, faces being mangled, shooting my friends, people being eaten alive and all the blood, gore and swearing, not to mention children seeing all this but potentially educating a young girl about her menstrual cycle is TOO MUCH!!!!
I liked it I don't see the big deal I was normall with it. We complained for months if Clem knew this and this sillences it down for good:)
You know we could've talked about Gabriel's mastrubation problems because he is in puberty
''All the guys do it here Javier''- Gabriel
It's a normall thing
You act like your dad at his age.. Into your your manhood

I actually appreciate when games (or any kind of media) bring that kind of stuff up. Because honestly, how do you deal with that? Tampons and pads are probably running out. It's doubtful you have access to boiling water enough to use a menstrual cup.
Was it necessary? I don't know, but it definitely reminded the player of her age. I always forget how young Clem is in ANF because of her BAMF-ness and the babysitting thing.
Again, Javi's a weird character to bring it up to, but Clem doesn't know anything about periods. Zombies happened when she was 8, Lee thought he wouldn't need to teach her that stuff until way later and she was on her own for the most part after that.
It would at least make sense for Gabe to talk to Javier about that despite how trivial and unnecessary it is. With Clementine it made no sense seeing how she knows Javier briefly for 2 days and is an afterthought in the series.

Eh, not really serious. It was bond to happen. I really hope people weren't uncomfortable with that. It's nothing out of the norm.
Abdolutely right, thanks for putting it clear

I think the point was to be uncomfortable...What? Was she never supposed to have one. She's growing up. It had to have been addressed eventually.

I'm a guy and didn't think it was awkward but then again I'm trans lol.

You might have to have a converstation like that with your daughter one day.
It was pretty awkward, but uncomfortable is an overstatement imo
This thread in a nutshell.
If they honestly got the inspiration from forum threads.......wow.
