To everyone who ships Gabe and Clem tell me why?
I notice a great many people shipping these characters and I want to know why? What makes you want to ship these two? Give me a legit reason and not "oh cause they are the same age that's why!" If that's your only reasoning then gtfo.

Because they are in similar age and Gabe is a boy, and Clementine is a girl. That's about it.

People ship Gabentine because they confuse The Walking Dead for a cheap teen drama show.
That's pretty much how telltale came up with the shipping. Quality writing right there.
The shipping makes no sense to me seeing how they've only known each other under a week if that. Then again I'm acting as if anything needs to make sense in the game anymore.
They are only being shipped because they are both going through puberty together. Gabe is getting boners and Clem just started to bleed. You remember being a teen right? Its more a lust than a love. At least that's the point telltale is going for. It's not suppose to work out, its just suppose to happen for experience sake. Besides, has Gabe seen another girl his age besides his sister since this all started? What about Clem? Has she seen a guy her age besides Duck since this started? It seems pretty normal to me. Whether you approve or not is a total different thing.
Remember when you were young and you friends will always date the bitchy girl or the douche bag. I'm sure you didn't approve of that but it happened. Teen age relationships are as simple as that. Its all about the circumstances rather than the chemistry lol
Glenn and Maggie was lust too but that worked out. No one was complaining when Glenn and Maggie got together after going on one supply run lol. If anything that's more far fetched
But Maggie was calling the shots. Maggie was playing with Glen at first.
I honestly think it's because they're both are of the same age. And that is precisely why I don't want them to end up a couple. If they do become a couple, it would really feel forced. Besides, Gabe is not likable at all and I really don't see a connection between Clem and Gabe.
I like Gabe, I like Clem and I enjoy their relationship. It's all the reason I need.
Heheh I have many reasons.
1.to piss off the other fans
2. Because it's cute.
3. Clem seems happy around him.
4. there's a very slim chance clem will find somebody else her age.
5. and because Gabe is related to javi and we can both see what javi can do and what lengths he goes through to keep his family safe, so if clem sticks around to be with Gabe, we can assume Javier can keep her a lot more safe than she already is, even though she is completely competent, anything can happen but Javier can always help.

I personally don't understand why people are playing cupid towards them other than the same reasons I've heard countless times. They have a vast gap between them with little to nothing in common from the both of them to fill in other than being the same age and that would be the only dare I say "spark" in between them. It's going to require a larger volume these "sparks" to occupy the spaces in order to assemble a healthy, well-balanced relationship. In other words, I see no dots connecting.
And how are they going to deal with a breakup? I've seen enough stupid catfighting in this game. I feel like this is something that's always been overlooked

Maggie ACTUALLY said herself that they didn't have that many options at that point in time as it was. How's THAT for poor writing?
It's not that I ship it, per se, but I think it's very cute that Gabe has a little crush on Clementine. I most certainly wouldn't write fanfiction about them. If they (TellTale) keep Gabe and Clementine together, then great. If not, then okay. Whichever way is fine by me.
(Psst; judging by how things are going, I doubt Gabe is gonna live or that Clementine is gonna stick around)
This whole Gabentine thing is getting too serious...Clem clearly sees Gabe is a fagg and shes only trying to calm him down, which can be seen when Gabe says hes gonna get the truck, Clem tells him to watch her back cuz hes not listenin to Javi. she later says to Javi she is just doing what she can. Another example is when she takes the pistol from Gabe, which she refused at first, then she noticed Gabe got all sad, so she took it to make his ass all happy. I dont see any interest from Clems side.

Now that you mention it, the only times Clem ever approached Gabe was to calm the guy so that the group could stay together. The first time she ever talked to him was in episode 2 after he drew a gun at Conrad. And she clearly talked to him just because he was out of control. Other than those moments when she needed to calm him and get him to work with the group, Gabe seemed invisible to her. Clem didn't even seem grateful to Gabe when he protested against taking Clem hostage. It's like she truly didn't care what he thought. It really seems like she is just playing the older more mature role when speaking with Gabe just to keep him in control,
Yeah, just like you said, Clem approached him only when he was out of control. I don't see any possible relationship at this current stage.
It would be a forced romance. Just like how they forced the brother and sister relationship with Luke. Even if you wanted to ignore him you still talked to him. Even if you didn't want to go with him on the bridge you were force to. Clem smiled at him even you were being cold and ignoring him mere seconds ago.
They force the hand slap on the bridge. Clem being cold to Gabe when he wanted to give her a gun then turning around and being nice the next second was forced imo and it made as much sense as Luke carrying you, then dropping you, then acting like a douche no matter what dialouge choice you went with, to him saying I'm not going to carry you anymore, to him running out of the house and showing concern, then him not be willing to help you & not be willing to look for the dog, then him locking you in a shed. Even though he was the leader of the group.
