...explain why the hell he was gone so long after they were initially split up? He ends up running into a new group and helped start TNF, but never seems to want to go back to check on his family. Javi and the family even made a point about staying at the house longer than they should just to wait for him.

This feels like a conversation that needs to happen before the season wraps up...

    He said that he and mama were herded out of the city and it was impossible to get back in...plus with the chaos of the walkers and the breakdown of civilization...he thought they had died in the city.

    I get why he couldnt at first....but after three months???!!! I can't think of a reason why he wouldn't.

    One thing to keep in mind is that he was putting back beers right before everything happened and they all left for the hospital. Maybe his drunkenness was a reason he was routed out and couldn't find his way back.

    I mean, if he believed they were dead, what would be the point .-. Plus, no one besides Clem so far came back to look for their family months after the ZA... (correct me if I'm wrong)
