Not really. I lost connection with Clementine as a character because of what Season 2 did to her and I dislike what ANF did to her even more. With that said she was still a better protagonist than Javier was as Season 2 tried to develop some other characters
I don't agree. I won't be surprised if the choices you make in this season end up not mattering either. Season 2 had more gravity and grit to it. This season has a strange,* just passing* feel to it. It feels more like a spin off then another season. Both seasons had ridiculous and unrealistic plot points however (like David surviving all that time which makes absolutely no sense and Kenny making it out of that alley with no way out). They really need to work on their storytelling recently... Season 1 was the best, no doubt about it and Season 2 is close but no cigar. Season 3 takes Season 2 and tries to build off of decisions that don't really seem to matter, which is why it doesn't have much of a root to grow from. There's only a few little things that really carry over. It's not that I dislike ANF. I just prefer Season 2. ANF doesn't necessarily feel like TWD games continued.
I gotta admit, I liked characters in this season more than s2 characters. Season 2 was kind of disappointing (Omid's unexpected death, despite the fact that she was just 11 people expected from her to do more serious stuff such as Pete, Rebecca and even Kenny) but despite the game bugs (Tripp's ghost when Ava lived in your playthrough(Ep5), teleporting horses(Ep5), Clem's ghost if you kill Conrad(Ep2), whether you pick Eleanor or Tripp in ep1 still you gonna be ambushed even it happens different timelines ) story development was better than s2 for me even the fact that it needed to be improved way more than it already is. Javier development was very good I liked Javi so much. He is a freaking comedian and charmer. Tripp was good as well(Phantom Punch, shit my nuts, son of a goddamn, fuck you fuckstick).
Fuck No, The difference between The Walking Dead a new frontier and The Walking Dead S2 is that S2 actually felt like TWD, it actually felt like a continuation. S2 is god's gift compared to ANF. In my opinion.
God no! S2 is fantastic and ANF feels like a crappy fan fic. S2 beats it in almost every aspect. Except maybe choice concequences, but the game came out over 2 years ago. If ANF couldn't do better with the choices, then... just wow.
I will always maintain that season 3 should have followed the Garcias from day1...
Episode 1 should have started with the beginning of Ep5...that flashback was amazing.....ep1 should have ended with Javi and Kate and the kids finally leaving the house. Ep2 -5 would have taken a 1-7 day span of their life per episode in each of the 4 years of the apocalypse. So then when ANF(which should have been s4 hit....we were fucking invested in the Garcias...oh and more Clem)
I think that the problem with Season 2 was that it had an excess of entirely bland ones.
I'm assuming you mean Alvin(sorry buddy), S… morearita, Carver, Troy, and Mike specifically, which is true.
You could argue that A New Frontier didn't have as many hard-hitting ones, but I think that having a smaller cast was beneficial for the story overall, and that they had enough strong characters to pull things it off.
True. Indeed, the most polarizing aspect of the finale right now is whether focusing almost exclusive on the Garcia family was for the best or not.

I agree with you. Season 2 had too many slow moments and although the point that could come up is ANF has too much action those are the things that keep me interested with some slow down scenes once in awhile. But sometimes when I was playin season 2 I sit there with my controller pressing dialogue choices going come on something interesting happen but season 2 wasn't bad but I think ANF was an improvement of it even though many people have far different opinions.
If only there was a game with the choices of ANF but the emotion of season 2... oh wait season 1 exists
in all seriousness though, in terms of a good story, season 2 was wayyy better, and what's the point in having choices matter if you don't even care about the story you're making them in.
Posting this as a random musing so I don't have to write several paragraphs with no real planning or intention to do so:
At the very least, Season 2 has a better cast that suffered from being too big and coexisting with Creator's Pets, while ANF's cast is somehow a bit weaker despite the decreased number of characters.

Absolutely
S1 shits over both (and its not even close) but I still think that S2 was better than S3. The story and characters were overall better written imho.
I didn't like having such a young Clem as the protagonist in S2. Felt forced and made the adults look like morons.
But now she is older and I would like her back too

I get my game cases and shit over all three myself
Absolutely not. ANF's just become a laughing stock

I only remember how much people used to shit on Season 2 (especially EP4 /and/ EP5).
Maybe people will start to like ANF after S4.
You don't have to live up to your username.
Don't tell me what to do go cry to your mommy instead.

This series will be official dead in that happens.
True. Though that almost sounds like another miniseries or 400 Days type of spiel.
