Who would you feel safer with?
I wanted to ask this with the recent release of From the Gallows, and I know someone else asked this before.
Who would you feel safer with? Javier or Luke?

I'd pick Javi for the sick ass one-liners. He's like the perfect sidekick.
On the other hand he'll probably steal all my chances to pick up girls. Fuck you Javi at least try to be less smooth.
Javier, of course.
Javier
Luke. Javier is too busy romancing all the ladies and getting punched by his big brother.
Luke did kinda have sex with Jane, though, when Rebecca was in labor...
But yeah, lol, I respect your opinion.
I'd have a better time being with Javier than Luke. Javier is very witty, which I loved. Me and him will just crack jokes all day.
Unless Gabe is with him. If he was, I would've punched him at some point during our journey.
I'll take Luke's one-minute-stand in exchange for a whole season of dramatic love triangle.
Javier can keep people alive better than Luke.
Luke ditched guard duty to bone.
But both are equally handsome.
Tough question.
I pick Luke not because I feel safer, but because I want to protect his smile.
But Javier is the safer one.
Don't forget he had a thing with Bonnie.
Was it even a real thing? What I inferred is that she had feelings for him which he clearly didn't return. Did they ever confirm if they actually dated?
Luke, because he doesn't get people killed over pudding.
Luke: (gets captured over trying to get food)
JK, I actually agree with that point, but I'd still choose Javi.
Definitely Javier. He isn't unwilling to get his hands dirty unlike Luke.
What do you mean?
Bonnie had a huge crush on Luke, but he didn't feel the same.
Jane took the initiative on that one, though.
Ooh, this is actually a tough one. I've always been of the mindset that Luke would've been a great leader if he had a little more self-confidence and if everyone would actually listen to him more. Meanwhile, Javier was taking care of his brother's family for four years and then took on three survivors from a Doomed Town and two(should've been three) members of the New Frontier within their home turf, all of whom he clashed with at one point or another.
So I don't know who I'd pick.
Luke seemed too nice and innocent for the apocalypse. Javier definitely shows he can make the hard call when the time calls for it. So, I'll go with Javier.
Javier. Luke was able to forgive a russian guy who tried to steal his friends. Javier would have killed Arvo, or at least, he would have left him to die.
I agree. He wouldn't have even given him a chance, and the off chance he did, he would've immediately killed him once Clem got shot.
I think Luke would have killed him too if he had seen Arvo shooting Clementine. Or maybe not, since he forgot that Arvo said "put down your guns, so we can take your things".
Or he remembered that Buricko was feeding him lines the whole time, Arvo himself was visibly iffy about actually doing it, and outright tried to get him to back down once he realized there was a baby with them.
Javi.
Javier has a family to protect, and naturally they'll always come first. His family members are the ones getting him into trouble a lot of the time and causing troublesome drama (Gabe spilling about Conrad and leaving a half eaten tub of pudding lying around, Kate revealing her relationship/feelings with Javi, David attacking Javi and abandoning the rest of the family, etc.).
Javier by himself is different to Javier with his family. Since his family is a package deal, I suppose I'd prefer Luke.
And this just gave me a bizarre mental image.
They have so many similarities. But I guess I will go with Javier. I have more sympathy for him.
Can I have both?
True but wasn't it Gabe that opened the pudding? Technically everything that happened was his fault...
Luke
Luke was very good natured but also very clumsy and naive. Never seemed willing to get his hands dirty when he needed to. He even criticized Clementine for killing the dog that attacked her.
Javier on the other hand can do anything to protect his family. Depending on your playthrough he can be willing to do some pretty crazy shit, even Clementine says as much. He pretty much has Luke's kindness but with enough edge to be able to fight if need be.
Thanks for explaining.
ma damn self
Javier. He lasted longer. And he doesn't need a ten years old to do everything for him.
We don't really know a lot about Luke. And thanks to those awful flashbacks you know all about Javi. They really needed better flashbacks and or have it over dialogues like we did for Lee. Javi anyday.
Javi is strong, he survived and kept alive two kids with a woman during several year
Luke looks more like a follower !
Brave when no danger
I feel like both would make a good team... But if I had to go with one person I'd probably go with Luke. He kind of got himself into less trouble out of the two...
I'd like to sign up for the van ride with Javier. As long as we don't stop for gas in a junk yard with pudding, we should be golden.
That choice is tough.
