Who of the boarding school kids would you take into the apocalypse?
Like, I wouldn't be able to pick between Marlon and Louis because one is good at leadership and the other keeps the mood cheery. (I know next to nothing about Violet.)

Probably Marlon. He looks like he can handle himself.
Louis probably.
He can hunt, keeps morale going and is sensible.
I also feel like he would balance me out as a group member, which I find necessary if I was a leader.
Violet probably...little early to say though.
I don't give a fuck about Violet aka Molly 3.0 (but this time she's lesbian! gg Telltale) and I don't have an opinion on Marlon yet, so I have to say Louis. He seems like a capable, but pretty chill and fun dude to hang out with.

I don't really understand the question, but Louis.
Let's just hope she isn't a lesbian for the sake of being lesbian (yay!!! diversity!!!) -- that was sarcasm if you don't realize. Anyways, what I mean is I hope her sexuality isn't the only thing we know about her, isn't her only characteristic, and it's not mentioned over and over again. I just hope she has more to herself than being lesbian (which is fine, as it's more than likely at least a few homosexuals would survive this long).
Was Louis really shocked AJ had a weapon? He's out. And Violet seems like someone I just wouldn't put up with. I think I'd take my chances on my own.
I think it was more that AJ was just playing around with it out of boredom than anything else. And it looked like she just gave it back to him beforehand.
Plus, he, Marlon, and the other teens are likely the ones in charge of defending the School, with the younger kids being sent to hide when trouble strikes.
Louis, he looks like he would make the best bait out of the main three.
If it's just one, I'd think I'd pick Louis based on keeping the mood light alone. But I'd like just about any one of them honestly.
Violet
Either Marlon or Louis.
Marlon seems like a cool guy, not too serious but also not too lenient. One who has been hardened by the world, but recognizes the value of holding onto the people you care about, in a very similar manner as Clementine. The only thing I'm worried about with him is that, in his determination to keep everyone alive, his decision making may be impaired if the pressure becomes too much, hence the one line in the trailer ("You don't understand, I'm trying to protect you.")
Louis is more easy going and lighthearted, per his description "Louis’ spirit is a sharp contrast to the often-drab attitude of his fellow students, always finding time for a joke or card game even on the darkest days." That is important to have when your morale is low, you need someone like him to keep things going. My only concern with that is he won't be able to tone it down when the situation is dire and he needs to be serious or think rationally.
I think it would also depend a bit on the environment in which we're living. If we're trying to survive on the road, definitely Marlon. If we already have a place to stay like the school, then definitely Louis.

Speaking of AJ, coming back full-circle into the leadership role is going to be really strange for me (Clem) I just think I won't be used to it but over time it'll come to me. It just felt so natural in s1, haven't played that game in a while now. We've had Clem as a main character and a side character so this'll be quite wierd, is all.
Just having Clem being like ''heh, I taught him how to shoot and that revolver is his fidget spinner now'' strikes me as odd but I'm sure once that true relationship between, in effect, the player and AJ comes into fruition then I'm sure all will be well.

Not entirely sure where you are/were getting that from, but okay.
Which is funny, considering Lilly and for a while Kenny were the leaders for most of that, but whatever.
