if it was removed from the final game, it is not neccesary to remove those scripting lines as a normal gamer would not get the information.
Do note that this didn't save Rockstar from their, uhhh, "Boiling Beverage" problem... :D

If it's in there it's bound to be found sooner or later... ;)

np: Radiohead - Subterranean Homesick Alien (OK Computer)

True, but he never got sprouted.

I didn't hear what she said. It kind of sounded like she was humming at first, but I turned up my sound and replayed the scene and she just sounded like she was TRYING to say something, but couldn't get it all out.

Maybe that was there intention. They knew someone would find it and just confuse us all!

    Murray actually did it!

What in the world are you using for this, anyway? The only Telltale Archive unpacker I know won't work on anything recent.

This question was never satisfactorily answered. Which means this entire thread could be a hoax. I'm not saying that there is no such line in the script somewhere because I don't have any resources that would allow me to see that, but the question is still begged, where is this information actually coming from?

Edit: What I meant here is that the entire premise upon which the thread was originally started under could be a hoax (just to clarify that). Discussing other possibilities (at least until concrete evidence is given) is reasonable of course.

Honestly I imagine there was some apologies and maybe some feelings expressed in that whisper... maybe TTG thought it would be a little more artistic and sweet to leave it unknown and private.

I really, really don't think LeChuck Killed her. Either Elaine or DeSinge, he did say she would pay. He was also sword fighting Elaine with a Syringe...

I bet the shocking truth about Morgan's killer is that it is...
Guybrush's own poxed hand!!! After all, she did say she was going to get it from DeSinge and then it could have grabbed her own sword and ran her through as revenge for cutting it off in the first place.
  • edited November 2009
I don't see how Morgan could have told Guybrush LeChuck did it, when he clearly says De Singe, and also he later sees LeChuck and they are still (albeit briefly) good pals!

It was Morgan's own sword that ended up killing her, wasn't it? I was pretty sure De Singe did it, because he was all like "We'll see about that", though I'm not sure how he did it.

her mouth didnt move and i had the volume up and all i heard was her going like "huhhhhhhhhhhh..."

Never thought of that, and it'd be a pretty good twist :)

As I was reading over some other threads someone pointed out that Morgan says, "The monkey told me..." (or she may use Jacques' name...) LeChuck (as far as we know) did not run any monkeys through with their own blades. And Guybrush already knew about LeChuck's meddling in the monkeys' affairs...I'm calling it. The original post is a fake.

    Yes, he did.

    Yes, he did.

Oh, yeah. It's been a while since I played. But he did stop it before he experienced death for the dead. Liquid nitrogen or something, if I remember.

If DeSinge did it, he wouldn't have answered Guybrush's accusation the way he did. He has contempt for the lives of the pirates and Morgan, and he wouldn't have shied from admitting responsibility for her death.

Not to mention that he's probably not physically capable of killing her, nor would he probably like to get his hands dirty like that.

I bet it was the white monkey we see right next to her when Guybrush walks in. She wasn't expecting an attack from a monkey!

LeChuck may have killed Morgan to make her undead? It's not like she'd just tag along by herself.

Even Dom Armato doesn't know what is said! Sorry, I did try to find out! (I prefer it as a lost in translation moment like he said though!)

    AHHH

IF its in the resources of the game, the game developers put it there for a reason.

Yes we aren't supposed to know, so technically she didn't SAY it.

BUT just because a character didn't say it doesn't make it not true.

Think of it this way. In a place where she sighs and looks sad, maybe it said in a comment in the resources "sighs and looks sad". SURE some of us could interpret it at first glance that she was just tired, and not sad, but if we then found the comment about the animation, we would know OH okay she was supposed to be sad. The developers wouldn't put it in arbitrarily.

Also the TTG silence on this issue makes me think they are unable to deny, suggesting its truth even further.

To be honest though, if she said it was LeChuck, why didn't Guybrush mention it when LeChuck turned up? He just looked angrily at the camera and said De Singe!

One of the developers might have thrown it in the resources as a red-herring, knowing it was never going to be said aloud anyway. To me, what she said it only known by Guybrush, and that is as it should be!

We still do not know if it is really there. Multiple people requested to know how the original poster found the line. i really want to see and read it myself.

I personally think it is a very long line to say when you die. if it is the last thing you say , just say the name of the person who did it instead of telling a complete story about monkeys and providing info we already know ( we could see it was her own sword, hard not to notice :) )

the question remains: how can we see the line ?

Elaine killed Morgan when she was poxed...Elaine is cured and does not remember doing it and so does not feel guilty, when she was poxed she didn't care either.
But we see her actively TRYING to kill Morgan while they're sword fighting, and when you mention Morgan's death to Poxed Elaine she acts like it's a good thing, which means she would probably have no problem taking credit if she was the killer.

    She said to Guybrush
"Dont you wish your wifey was hot like me?"
Thats why Guybrush was so mad cuzz he knew his poxed wife has been a tough trouble to deal with her.
