Yes, but Morgan said that JACQUES THE MONKEY told her
"Don't trust LeChuck. He hypnotized a bunch of monkeys and ran me through with my own blade."
if so
What blade? Jacques' one? And why didn't he get hypnotized?
If you remember, in Episode One, when Guybrush gives Jacques an electric shock a few times, his eyes change from sickly green to brown. Possibly electricity breaks hypnosis.
Actually, Morgan didn't said that, it's just commentary of developers, maybe it's her thoughts.
It could also be a red herring included to fake out anyone who tried cracking the game code for spoilers. With a scene like that, it's entirely possible that they thought ahead and knew that such a scene would provoke someone to see if anything in the game files revealed what she said, so they intentionally threw in a misleading clue.

interesting thought ... but is there someone that calculating?
I don't entirely buy the screenshot that supposedly reveals the line in the code for the same reason I called it out as being fake earlier. It is possible the line may actually be commented in the code somewhere, but it wouldn't make sense.
Even for Morgan to think, "The monkey told me, 'Don't trust LeChuck. He hypnotized a bunch of monkeys and ran me through with my own blade.'" How does that make sense??
What Morgan was going to say was something that was told to her by the monkey. She didn't get to say it because she took so long trying to give the entire narrative tale that she died before she finished. She didn't say anything in that space.
I was also suspicious as first, but I've looked into the files myself and I can confirm that this line is actually in the script.
Still, it doesn't really make sense in the context because as mentioned above, Morgan was trying to repeat was Jacques had told her.
Besides, this line isn't at the right place in the script, so I can't really tell what it was for... Maybe they decided to ditch it in the end.
There's another file where it's mentioned this: "
Morgan whispers something unintelligble into Guybrush's ear that implicates LeChuck. Guybrush will misinterpret it as DeSinge.
", however this may be outdated since the notes in those files don't always match what's in the game.
I have to say, though, that it's quite scary to be able to read all these notes... I think I'm learning more than I should.
How do we know it didn't get the cure? When it ran off, everyone was still poxed, so it's entirely possible that it ran into the forest, got cured of the pox, and turned into a regular, inanimate severed hand.
Well if Guybrush is dead right now, who says when or if he's brought back to life he won't automatically get his runaway hand back some how. And I agree, when the sponge cured everything, doesn't that mean there's a chance there's an inanimate hand some where?

I thought the same thing, later.
If would be good if Morgan goes into the forest, picks his hand up and gives it back to Guybrush.
Another theory is that she went looking for his hand after her body disappeared.
2592) MORGAN
[pickup1][dying unintelligble whisper of approximate length to get across "Don't trust LeChuck. He hypnotized a bunch of monkeys and ran me through with my own blade."]
Thats what she said :P
a normal line, would have something not in brackets.
As thrilled as I am about this find, I wish I hadn't revealed the text hidden in spoiler tags.
I can't see why LeChuck would have a motive to kill Morgan either. Elaine would have had a motive, but if you watch the fight scene between the two closely, you'll find that Morgan is too observant to get run through by a blade unless she's really caught off guard.
Actually, I like how this whodunit remains unsolved for now and how different clues hint at different possible murderers:
- Jacques
because he was found sitting next to Morgan and fled upon Guybrush's arrival
- DeSinge
since he came running out his lab right after we heard a shattering sound of glass (but it's not his style to kill people himself, is it? "I'll get someone to get you" says it all)
- Elaine
Because she had a motive more than any other person and threatened to kill Morgan with her sword
- LeChuck
for an (yet) unknown motive - but it's his style to run people through as we learn from the end of this episode.
..and probably the Voodoo Lady and Guybrush's poxed hand as well. I hope we'll get to see an explanatory flashback scene for this one in the final episode, not only one long monologue about what happened when and how.
He wouldn't do such a cruel thing! Besides the rowboat was at the footbridge the hole time til morgan died... I mean Winslow could swim that far because he's awesom but he would not leave the ship out there...
Comments
She did say in chapter 3 that she didn't speak manatee, but she spoke a little monkey.
if so

"Went back... *cough* to get your hand... *hack* ... make up for all the... trouble... *ergh*"
hahaha damn you're right... i forgot it .
This makes no sense considering Guybrush is completely fine with LeChuck in the prison and continues to blame DeSinge for the injury.

Ask Jake. We all know he's evil.
Just kidding.

Start a thread about it?
By the way, how will it be possible to cure that hand, now?
La Esponja Grande has
Or, why didn't his hand get the cure automatically when the winds spread???

SOMEBODY'S not a Sierra fan. :P

At least, this is what script says

That's exactly what I thought! it just sounded like that to me, not anything about what jaques told her
Yeesh, what a waste of a last breath that would be.
He wouldn't do such a cruel thing! Besides the rowboat was at the footbridge the hole time til morgan died... I mean Winslow could swim that far because he's awesom but he would not leave the ship out there...
Guybrush I Love You. then died.
Naw, that's boring. You can hardly make a good conspiracy theory out of that.:p
