A couple of days ago, I had my other two wisdom teeth removed. This was especially fun, since apparently the injections that I shrugged off the first time around are MUCH more painful when aimed at the lower jaw. On top of that, to get to my less prominent bottom wisdoms, they had to use a scalpel. Anesthetic or no, when a razor-sharp knife is stuck in my mouth, I tend to get nervous.

But despite that madness, it went smoothly.

    ... until yesterday.

I now know the hideous agony of dry socket. This, to make the understatement of the year, sucks. The pain just doesn't stop. Worst of all, I have to ride it out, since recent monetary/transportation problems mean that visiting the dentist again for treatment is out of the question.

And as I type this, I'm fresh out of cigarettes for the foreseeable future. Raaaaaaage.

That's probably a good thing, given the current state of your mouth!

I don't understand why people split wisdom teeth removal into 2 dentist visits. In terms of minimising discomfort and recovery time, it makes so much more sense to have them all done in one go. Who really wants to go back for a second helping of that pain??

Chocolate pudding. That is what I ate when I got my wisdom teeth out, although I got all four out at once.

I also ate lots of Cream of Wheat and Jell-O. But mainly chocolate pudding. :D

Found out this morning that I had lost my purse somewhere, it wasn't in my bag and I looked everywhere in the house for it.

But as I left to get to work, my mum text me saying it was in a plastic bag with some PS2 games in my room.
    The only place I didn't look... :p

Yeah, smoking aggravates the pain, so I should be thankful. Then again, the stress of the pain plus the stress of withdrawal at the same time... *shudder*

I was confused as to why they split it as well. The first was an emergency extraction, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Or they just hate me. The dentist did seem *overly* nice after all, as though she was overcompensating for her lack of compassion. :p

Yet you're still typing better than about 70% of internet users (even with the lack of apostrophe on "it's" and full stop at the end of the second sentence).

On the last article for my presentation today. Screw my life man, I've been doing nothing but reading articles and writing since Tuesday. I know this is the fate of all academics, but Jesus in a Racecar it's draining. All I can say is thank god for the D&D game tonight.

I should be good at padding my word/page count, but I've just never needed to. In high school, I never had any trouble meeting the word quota, (even When it was something like "Can you not be yourself? Answer in 16 pages or more) and I've needed to cut down a lot of times. Which is really hard, because while I can come up with new things to say about stuff, or add examples or expand on a point, I have such a hard time removing things. I wrote them in the first place for a reason, and often it just feels awkward and unbalanced without them.

My brother did it in one session and spent years afterwise trying to get a usable jaw again. I think sometimes, it's just a matter of, if you keep your mouth open for too long, you'll get lasting damage from it. I speak from experience, I wore braces for 7 years and went to the dentist a minimum of once a month. I have a LOT of jaw issues due to having to keep my mouth wide open so much and so often and for so long.
If I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out (which I fortunately don't), I would definitely split it in the maximum number of operations. And as someone who has had eight (I think) teeth removed all at once, I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to split it into eight different operations instead, or maybe four.

EDIT: Actually I take that back. I would go back in time and make sure not to go through it at all. It was a pain of an operation, and on top of that it was a pain living without these teeth for the two years it took them to grow back.

Oh, crap. Somehow, I get the feeling Divisionten won't be with us for D&D (again, I really hope that she's safe right now), and nobody else seems to be able to make a Skype call that everyone can join in on.

We're getting closer to that 500 page mark. This could be the first thread on the forums to get over 10,000 posts!

And when It happens, I'll be there.

I suppose I should clarify for those who haven't heard, Japan was hit by an 8.9 earthquake, the seventh worst quake in recorded history. They're saying the tsunamis caused by it could completely engulf some of the smaller pacific islands.

Fun fact: my dog can tell the difference between Youtube videos of Frank Welker's amazing impression of a lion's roar (which he ignores) and a real lion's roar (which causes him to perk up).

Seriously, how can the man be so good at making animal sounds?

Just seen the coolest book ever, a replica of the Book of Shadows from Charmed.

That's a large part of the reason I declined a PhD scholarship. You really have to love the subject matter to spend so long completely immersed in it.

Hope your preso [goes/is going/has gone] well!

The tsunamis are a worry... even though a lot of Japan is built for earthquakes (from what I understand), tsunamis are awfully hard to plan for.

Recently, I tried to use another account to post a certain video I helped create*. I tried to make it(the profile) the "insane version" of myself to go along with the VERY explicit content** in the video, but I quickly grew tired of that. So, here's a version of the video, cut for content***, and much safer for forum viewing(but still has explicit language): http://ringmasterj5.blip.tv/file/4825436/

(*Video is not owned by me, I just wrote for my "character" and had the episode idea.)
(**Said content is not seen at all, but read aloud, as the video is of a fanfic reading/review.)
(***The full version's link is in the description of the cut version. Proceed with caution. Do not watch full version if you are easily offended.)

    The snes still hasn't arrived.
Its kind of annoying that I now have several Snes cartidges, but no console to play them on.

Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow, or Monday.
If it doesn't then a friendly reminder shall be given.

That being said, I have most of the cartidges I have bought already.
Its such a tease having Super Mario Kart, Allstars, Starwing, and Battletoads so near, yet so unavailable to play.
(Well I could play them on the Caanoo or my laptop, but I really want to play them the way they were meant to be played!)

    Wait, so you're WhiteGable?

Yes. I have used it for a few things, most recently trying to make that profile for the "evil" version of me heard in the fanfic video. Also, if you're wondering, those random numbers I was posting(as WhiteGable) a few months ago was a Ben Drowned thing I was trying to do. It failed.

...What on Earth did those numbers have to do with Ben Drowned?

It was a lead-in to this weird thing I was trying to do where a friend would seemingly slowly turn into BEN after I posted a coded message(using the numbers) along the lines of "Soon, I will have infected one of you".

The video is now in my sig for future preservation. I'm happy about the video, as I am a "character" on this user's show now. I'll say this one more time: Please, random forum members, watch the ComicsNix CUT video in my sig and post a response, especially if you make the jump to try and handle the Uncut version. For those that have watched it(no matter which version), there's going to be another April 17th.

Now, back to beng relatively normal.....for now.
