I'm scared to go on Skype now. I think I'll go and be unsociable by myself in the corner instead.

Oh, that's just terrible. Now I have to talk to RATHER DASHING.

Probably the best YTP I've seen in a while:

Make sure not to talk about RUBBER BANDS. *wink wink*

    Maybe I'll show up later...when it's safe.

I could talk to you, but then you'd probably start talking to me about things I know nothing about. Like Battlestar Galactica, guns, socialism, or Bioshock. And I'd much rather I keep doing what I'm doing. Searching for a beginner's ocarina to buy.

LOL, I have some current theories about time travel and also teleportation. Both, of which have some serious research put into them. Teleportation though, I've been more focused in as of late.

I've come across Einstein's equation e = mc^2. Which I think could possibly, might have something to do with teleportation. :D Might...

But, what's really cooking is I think it's called Quantum information processing...

I'm kidding. I'm interested in all of the things I listed except Galactica. I don't like Galactica much. Don't know jack shit about any of the stuff, but I do have a mild interest in it.

Talking to people seems to be, for me, an exercise in "everything I like is stuff nobody really cares about" and "stuff everybody cares about is stuff I know nothing about". This then makes me think I have a lot of stuff I need to learn about. And learning things takes me FOREVER. FOREEEEEEVVVVVEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR. So I get tired of conversation nowadays.

Hey, it's cool. Just start quoting Groucho whenever you don't know what's going on and everything will be fine. Works for me!

I'm more Hawkeye Pierce-y than Groucho. They had the same style of humor, but with different ideas and personalities. Although, I did spend my early high school years acting like Groucho just to see what would come of it.

Oh yeah? I got stuffed in lockers a lot, too. Surprisingly often for a guy in a wheelchair acting like Charlie Chaplin.

Hawkeye works, too. But fewer people know Groucho, it seems, so I've found it's easier to pass off his quotes as my own ideas. Muahahaha!

How'd you manage the cane twirling routine? :p

Meh, I don't know about Chaplin. From what I've read, the man couldn't stand toe to toe with Groucho in a battle of wits. He just got mad. Not classy at all.

But any true Marx Brothers fan (Marxist is a good word for double meaning) knows that Zeppo is actually considered the funniest.

    Powerfully and with extreme prejudice.

    Sod off, you bloody wanker!

Terribly sorry, but it needed to be said.

Oh...well in that case, pretend that I said that I learned it from some cool resource...like a book on the history of comedy or something. I have one of those. Totally.
  • edited April 2011
I read it in a book on the history
of the Marx Brothers. I can take pics
of said books if proof is needed. and
now, I can make my posts look like
    book passages.

I need Telltale to finish up the dang BTTF series so I can start playing it. Or release Puzzle Agent Episode 2, since it's a one shot.

Because...I just want to compare and see if we read the same books that I definitely own. And read.

I only have one Marx Brothers book. But my brother did have the top one you showed on extended lone from his Boy Scout leader.

    This one:

My copy is currently four hundred miles away so I can't take pics right now.

LEGASP. A book on the Marx Bros. I had not previously heard of? A quick trip to Amazon should fix that.

I can't stop laughing at this post from the Black Mesa forums and it's technically not even that funny. Maybe the image in my head is. In response to the lack of realism over shooting a Portal over long distance and hitting accurately:

"Hey guys, I just discovered something! I made some calculations and there's NO WAY Mario's raccoon tail would provide enough lift to make him fly! What kind of suckers do they take us for huh? I couldn't enjoy the game after that because that one thing is just sooooo stupid."

That's you! That's how dumb you sound!

I'm shocked. Well, this is the purpose of the internet, is it not? Broadening the mind and all that?

Mind you, usually the mind is broadened in ways one would not prefer...

And I'd much rather I keep doing what I'm doing. Searching for a beginner's ocarina to buy.

My advice: Don't get a Songbird ocarina. They look all right, but they only have four holes on top and can't even go high enough to play the Song of Storms. And they're tiny. I have one, and I've been wanting something better ever since. Something like...this.

Also, considering that I've never seen more than a clip of the Marx Brothers (much to my regret), I had a period in middle school where I was strangely into them. I have a copy of Groucho and Me (that I picked up for a research project) that I should really get around to reading someday.

You should go one step further and watch one of their films. Horse Feathers is my personal favorite, followed by Animal Crackers and Duck Soup.

I kind of figured that part went without saying. I hear AMC shows them all the time, but I don't watch TV often and I haven't managed to catch any of them.

I don't know if you have netflix, but there are several of their films on there in instant play format. Otherwise...well, a quick google search could solve all your problems.
