Jake, why did my post count just drop again? By another thousand?
Not sure why post counts would drop by thousands. I'll look. I merged Drunken Ramblings which bumped both threads back to General for a second. Don't know why. I moved it back in here immediately, though.
I looked and it appears that everyone's post count has just decreased again by roughly the equivalent number of posts that they had in here. Maybe the move to and from General Chat was what did it.
Mine dropped too, I think. I'm not sure. Don't count this as an actual claim.
Also yeah JedExodus! It's called WiiSX and you need to do a lot of other stuff before you can get it going. Even then it only works with about 80% of PS1 games, and all at lower quality than on a PS1, but it's a very neat thing to have. I've lined up ape escape, GTA2 and tony hawks 2 just now...
I'm aware of the post coutns going bananas. vBulletin moved the thread back and forth and decided on its own to decrease post counts again, needlessly. Good work on its part. Workin on it guys!
I used to be afraid that my problems were too stupid to bring up to other people, especially when I got drunk. It's not true, your problems are important to you ,and they change, influence your future. All your problems should be taken seriously, Davies.
No one will judge you, no matter what the problem is. I know getting drunk makes you feel fun, free, but it's not the answer to your problems. If there is a solution to your problems, no matter how difficult they appear to over come, Davies, drinking won't solve those problems, talking about them just might.
It's ok, Davies. We understand, life isn't all easy, but you're heading down a path that got me into lots of trouble and if you take that path it's your choice, but as a friend I want you to at least consider what I'm saying to you.
I accept you for who ever you choose to be, must be, Davies, but I hope that you can make the best choices for yourself when you can, and choose the right path in life when possible. I won't judge you, but if there's a problem Davies, please PM some one. Maybe , if you have problems, they are leading you to drink. And maybe, there's something we can do about your problems.
Drinking is a choice, but it won't make your problems go away.
Personally, I prefer to think of myself as an actual intellectual who also happens to be a snarky, judgemental jerk. It's true, I can insult you in Latin, which is high brow insulting.

I might well PM you soon Doodo! and I appreciate the kind words. I'm also considering leaving this forum and finding a new home to roost in. I'm getting tired of defending my actions against humourless people. I'm an intelligent, funny guy and if that's not appreciated then I'll go elsewhere. Also, before any claims are made that I'm big headed for saying such a thing; that's probably the first self complementary thing I've said in years.
There are people who "get" me and understand my admittedly warped sense of humour but unfortunately this forum is increasingly getting filled with the mainstream crowd, which I'm very proudly not a member of.
We'll see how it goes. Let's put it this way; if any mods feel like banning me then go for it. You'd probably be doing me a favour at this point.
I'm hardly immune to my own criticism. I don't deny that I cross the line sometimes. That said, I've never thought the forums should feel "entirely safe," as in "sanitized," but they should also not be an intimidating wasteland of people pointing fingers and yelling at each other under the banner of openness and allowed behavior.
I like it a lot when people have different opinions and discuss them. I don't like it when people start treating their opinions or perceived stature as things of physical mass, which they then try and use to suffocate someone else.

Also yelling. That's dumb, too.
Forums!
Hey, same here. I spend so much time on this forum that I've been at both my best and worst here, and I'm certainly guilty of being a bit of a prick now and then when conversation gets heated.
Sadly, the bigger a forum gets, the more personalities there are to clash against each other.
(also, I meant nothing by my previous post... I just really like Senor Chang )
I can sort of relate. This is just me, maybe you know where I'm coming from. I don't really feel very social in the "real world", and on forums I feel like there's a place to get my ideas out, and it's sort of like a experience that gives me a sense of worth, value. Because I can make friends like you, or Rather Dashing. Now, you might be shocked that I said Dashing. We might not get along, but it may be what life is all about.
Anywhere you go, some one won't get along with you, and you won't get along with some one else. Some times we feel like the misfit. I've felt like the whole crowd was against me countless times, hell, I even tried to understand humanity and then redesign it from the base up.
We can't all get along like birds and bees, but it's not something you ultimately have to understand, but to live you need to appreciate it. You need to realize it. I may not be best buds with Dashing, in fact, some times he pisses me off, but I still see him as some sort of friendly presence. He's a companion in his long journey we call life, some one I've been fortunate enough to pass along my path.
And that journey of life, the purpose of life, is generally not as mysterious as one would believe in my opinion, self discovery. And in my opinion to discover yourself is not to separate yourself from the world but it's to embrace your place in the world, surround yourself by different people, meet different people. That's how we learn, that's how we're educated, grow, but what we pass on from one another within our own limitations and molds as human beings.
What can you learn from other people here? What can you learn from other people any where in the world?
Davies, some times people have a difficult time reading your attempts at self expression. They don't see the part of you that's inside all of their hearts. That part that wants to fit in , that part that's funny, exciting, fascinating. Some times people just don't see it. I'm sure you miss it in others some times too.
How do you think it makes me feel that my friend, Davies, doesn't think that I appreciate his witt, sense of humor?
It's not all bad here. I appreciate you for who you are. I enjoy you when you're sober and I notice easily when you're drunk and something is different about you.
Davies, you are a special person, like any one else here, with a heart, a mind, a soul. You are a unique individual brought into this world. All you need is self respect, self worth to make it in this world. Some times it's hard to express what's unique about us , special about us, but I'll tell you one thing, I'm glad that you're here. You're amongst friends, I'm not the only person here who appreciates your company.
If you understand what I'm telling you Davies, then we truly do have some sort of bond, connection of friendship, and I value that. I hope you understand, I've always thought of you as a friend and some one I could talk to.
Edit: My real name is Brian.
Davies, it's in every one's heart here to accept you, value you as a human being, some people just need a second chance, a third chance, because they haven't been guided into the right direction yet to discover friendship, or make a bond, connection to you. It's in everyone's heart here, to accept you, Davies. Some people just have a hard time relating to you, understanding you at times. And some times they fool their selves into being rude, cynical when in their hearts they want to be accepted, valued too.
davies, this might sound mean, but you kind of sound like the equivalent of Nice Guy™ except for the forum and not girls right now.
That does it. I'm out of here. Thank you and good night. To those of you I loved and cared for; I still love and care for you. For those who judged me and thought themselves superior to me; I have nothing to say to those people. Goodbye.

If we all left because one out of four people didn't like us, this would be a pretty empty place. But I can't force you to do anything, nor do I want to. Just saying that more people will probably miss you than those who want you gone.
I didn't say you should leave, but rather reevaluate how you're viewed on this forum. I was warning you that you started to sound like something that you may not want to sound like.
If you want to leave, then I can't change you, but I honestly don't see why you'd think everyone has turned against you.
Also, I don't hate anyone here. Hell, Davies, I haven't even seen you at all.
There are people who "get" me and understand my admittedly warped sense of humour but unfortunately this forum is increasingly getting filled with the mainstream crowd, which I'm very proudly not a member of.

If there's any reason to ban you within the drunk musings thread and related spinoff in this thread I don't see it.
Leaving won't change anything or make a point. But, if you want to leave the forums, it's not the worse thing you could do. I'll miss you though
I used to drink to escape my problems, but my problems never went away with me for good, and I regret drinking or running away from my problems. It's not the answer, where ever you go Davies I hope you can find the answer.
I've definitely hated people, but it's so difficult to get to that point for me. Mildly annoyed and perhaps mad is usually how far I get with most people, but that only lasts like... a day at the most. Least to say, I've never legitimately hated anyone here.
With me, I get irritated for a few seconds, then I think about how irritating I am on a regular basis and I feel a bit hypocritical so I get over it. Same thing with getting mad at people. It usually lasts for a few minutes, or maybe an hour at the most, where I say plenty of really nasty things. Then, I'm all over it and spend the next couple of weeks apologizing.
Personally I hate myself more than any one person (with one exception, but that has nothing to do with this place) and I find it more than a little daft that some people take what is said on places like this so personally. At the end of the day it's just a bunch of words on a screen.
What I really hate is the word 'random'. I can't even begin to tell you how it makes my skin crawl when somebody declares "that's so random" or they were talking to a "randomer" DO YOU MEAN A 'STRANGER' YOU SACK OF SHIT!?!?!
Don't even remind me about the girl I worked with who called me a 'randomist' every, fucking, day

As much as I like Invader Zim, it bred an entire generation of LOLRANDOM users. That makes me sad.

When people use the term "random" too often, I feel like pulling out a Princess Bride quote:
Here's a picture of TTG pattern that I did on my 7x7 rubiks cube. I was going to post it on the "cool things you've done thread" but webcam wasn't working. 3 months later, that thread is dead, and so I am posting it instead in a much less respectable setting.

I think it might be because I posted in this thread during the few seconds that it was in General chat a few moments ago.
Aw, Jake man! I've said it before and I'll say it again; you shouldn't take what I say so seriously.
Actually, do.
Nah, don't.
Just maybe.
But not in this case.
P.S. My post count has dropped by at least 100! You can take that seriously ...maybe.

Ohhhhh, get Mr. Judgemental over here. Acting all judgemental and all that.
I like Dashing, he King of the Castle but he not like me. I sad.
@dood bah humbug, i'll just emulate on PC, all my Playstations died deaths over the years unfortunately
Apparently it takes one to know one. What would this forum be without everyone being snarky faux-intellectual judgmental jerks to each other?
Enjoyable.
For once!
How very true, I may weep openly.

Dislike is pretty much the only extreme I can really get to.
I also like to think I'm quite hard to hate.
Most people here just seem to be nice if slightly odd individuals.
(Much like myself! )
The rest of that whole, still being nice, just much more odd! XD
Don't even remind me about the girl I worked with who called me a 'randomist' every, fucking, day
We(The quite society of lurkurs)'ll Miss you
