Here's a picture of TTG pattern that I did on my 7x7 rubiks cube. I was going to post it on the "cool things you've done thread" but webcam wasn't working. 3 months later, that thread is dead, and so I am posting it instead in a much less respectable setting.

There are 7x7's now? Man, I gotta get one of those. Of course, I need to learn how to solve my 3x3 first...

I think my Xbox is well and truly dead now. Haven't been able to get it loaded up once yet today unlike a couple of days ago when it only failed occasionally.

I failed him, I tried to tell him no one would judge him and I couldn't keep my promise.

Yet, I feel like I understand why it was done. Intolerance for our differences is most likely our number one issue in all of humanity. Whether you're trying to reach the standards of a girl, make friends on a forum, almost in anything. Then of course there are a few others, which are quite easy to guess as well.

Oh yes. And There's even More.

Catching up on TV I missed, commercial talked about a sneak preview of Thor. Man, I am behind. Was Booster Gold on Smallville recently? I think that episode might have gotten deleted.

Also, my personal favorite is the Sudoku cube:

People who do this one probably have far too much time on their hands.

There are actually 11x11s in circulation (see below) but they are illegal. 7x7 is the biggest legal.

Illegal Rubik's cubes? Now, I've heard everything. Pull the other one, it's got bells on.

Apparently it takes one to know one. What would this forum be without everyone being snarky faux-intellectual judgmental jerks to each other?

    Enjoyable.

    For once!

I can't imagine this forum would ever be enjoyable without rather dashing, honestly. (Everyone note that I'm note the one calling Dashing a snarky faux-intellectual judgmental jerk, Jake is. I think Dashing is a snarky real intellectual judgmental awesomesauce dude).

I think I might have been wrong earlier. Lots of activity while I was gone today.

Davis, I don't care if you stay or if you leave, but I really don't like when people make such a fuss over it. I know I've done it before too, but it just annoys me. If you leave, you leave. You don't need to warn people for days first. If they notice they can just PM you.
Plus it makes you sound stupid if you decide not to leave or if you come back. And actually, it makes you sound stupid even if you do leave. And believe me, I know what it's like to make a fool of yourself on forums.

Anyways! Today I took a nap, woke up when Nas got home from a date with her boyfriend, and asked her in English if she had a good evening. She answered "oui...yes..." and I grunted, turned around and then turned back and asked (in French) "did I just ask you that in English?"
Obviously my brain needs to gets back to French mode now. It appears I also have an American accent when speaking French. Hopefully that will vanish, considering I also have a French accent when speaking English. I'd hate to be unable to speak any language at all without people figuring I'm a foreigner.

Yeah, he was, a couple weeks ago. All that's left is the two hour series finale on Friday.

I think you are misreading me, or are adding too sharp a point to my remarks at least. Also Rather Dashing is the last person on the boards in need of someone to leap to his defense! I'm pretty sure he can take it, and is plenty capable of speaking up on his own when he feels the need.

Well, you said "it takes one to know one", so I kind of assumed...
And I never said he needed someone to defend him. Are you implying that my posts tend to be needed? :p

EDIT: I'm not crazy about dashing in the way you probably meant, doodo (I know, it's hard to believe, someone I'm not in love with!) but he's been my friend and one of the main reasons I stuck on these forums to begin with, yes.

Expect a 7 page lecture if you screw up 1 thing on the Walking Dead.
Expect a 17 page lecture speaking for everyone here if this game is too easy.

why not move everything here? It seems anything without a specific topic comes here. If nothing else, the Telltale forums have taught us life is a "game" :P

A good point. Technically, everything that we post is what's on our mind at the moment, and therefore is relevant to this thread.

    A horrendous point.

Essentially, forum games exists as a space in which posts that don't matter can be housed. Ideally, "General Chat" would exist as a place in which off-topic discussions can take place. The key word, here, is "discussion". Threads like "Whatever's On Your Mind" are not discussion threads, but instead a space in which a person can yell out their own little message just to have the pleasure of hearing themselves without acknowledging the other posts. It is not a discussion thread, and it either belongs here or should be closed. Its place presiding over and parasitically sucking from General Chat was wholly undeserved.
  • edited May 2011
so you would call it a game? my point is still valid.
why not just call it "off topic" like every other forum I've ever seen?
  • edited May 2011
As much of a game as "Have a Conversation with Pictures", "YAY or NAY", or "Life Story Soundtrack", yes.
  • edited May 2011
All I'm saying is my point is valid

    see

The first applies to anything on the forums, the rest doesn't apply to this and a few others here. I'm allowed to have my opinion thank you.
  • edited May 2011
And yet, there have been several valid discussions within this thread. I don't believe it's mutually exclusive.
  • edited May 2011
Hey, it was said that my point was horrendous when I have since proven it as valid. The OP topic does not qualify as a "game" as defined. Can exchanges within a thread qualify as a game? Yes, they can.
  • edited May 2011

But the over all rules of the thread is that anything goes. Or that is what it's become. And something like that has made its bed some place.

Do I really care it's here? Not really, I'm way too easy going to let that bother me. However, it was on my mind when I saw it :P Let's get back to the random crap, no one wants to read this garbage.
  • edited May 2011
Though I won't argue against the thread being here, there's a horrendous flaw in your logic, Dashing. Discussion does happen here (case in point: THIS), it just doesn't constantly happen here. Yes, there's quite a bit of people shouting whatever they feel like, whether anyone's listening or not, but discussion threads rise and fall all the time in this thread.

And in a perfect world, yes, we could have a thread for every little thing we want to discuss. But that's not the case. For example, would Retrovortex have started a thread about his arcade machine if not for this thread? I admit, I don't know him well enough to say for sure, but I doubt that the existence of this thread is the only thing that caused him to not make a thread of its own to post in. And people have been interested in and talked about this thing.

So you're free to hate this thread for all the chatter and posts that don't carry on a discussion, but don't you dare act as though that's all that the thread consists of. It's an insult to your own intelligence.

I'm not arguing against it's removal to forum games. I'm arguing the blanket statement that it's a completely wasted thread. There have been good points to it as well. You may have to shift through a lot of crap to get to them, but they're there.

Sort of a metaphor for the human condition, actually, if you want to get philosophical about it...

And once again I've been ninja'd. I just can't seem to type fast enough anymore. Sad. T_T

I personally find it rather enjoyable *thumbs up*
  • edited May 2011
oh geez, I wasnt trying to start a whole argument over it... my point was that this thread does not fit into the definition of "game"...that's all....and i don't think anybody can properly debate that. Moderators have their own definitions as for what goes in what forum and I'm not arguing that at all. All I was trying to say is that this isn't a "game"....people need to settle down. I'm not sitting here screaming for it to be moved or anything.

Oh, yeah, I would agree that this thread can be good from time to time. I hear little things about Icedhope and other users that I don't get to know anywhere else.

If I remember right, Icedhope is currently happy and has a girl friend but moans about work.
