For some reason my keyboard mapping is switching randomly between English (UK) and English (Australia)... so annoying when I keep getting tildes instead of pipes in my UNIX sessions.

I'm about to go hunting rats underneath the house. We have no cat...only me.

But I think I'm fairly qualified for the job.

    What exactly are these qualifications?
  • edited May 2011
My guess is a lack of fear regarding rats and a willingness to hunt rats.

Also Must Own Club is a good one too.

I was hoping for a degree certificate awarded by a university with a decent rat-hunting reputation. :(

I do love how slowly this forum has more or less become 'none of the regulars still play the games but we still visit for some reason'

Actually, the qualifications were: 1) tiny enough to fit under the house and not crush all the duct work and 2) member of the family so need not be payed full price.

    I satisfy both of those.

As an update, there were no rats to be caught so I just ended up sprinkling baking soda everywhere. The idea is that at least the rats won't smell as bad now. And in that respect...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

I played and enjoyed Hector, but that's the exception until Puzzle Agent 2 which I think all the regulars will probably play i'd imagine

We're just all too busy working on our rat catching masters to play games

That fails if you're still playing games from the 90s now in 2011. Also, the top part is pretty much my face when playing Ninja Gaiden or Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde.

    Master degrees? Psh.

I've nearly got my PhD in rat catching mastery!

Comrade Mortis is a master of complex ciphers and will send me screaming to Bedlam before I am grey of hair. That is all.

Its mainly that BTTF was a failure, and telltale doesnt have any other new games out right now. I know Im waiting for the Walking Dead before I start playing their games again.(speaking of which the May comic is out
It ends with Rick with a shocked expression as Carol starts to caugh meaning next month we find out if he is going to live or be a zombie
    )

I am easily frightened, very easily frightened. It's a wonder that I don't need anti-anxiety medication. I may have even said about my "nightmares" When I'm no where near asleep that happen slightly frequently.

So WHY oh WHY do I feel compelled to read creepypasta and the like?

Maybe being frightened has become such a part of your life that you have fully accepted it and perhaps *gasp* come to actually like it.

People do go to horror movies for a reason. It makes a certain manner of sense.

I just watched Salad Fingers for the first time. I don't know what I just watched. Youtube informed me that I should probably be drunk before watching. I think its far more likely that that would be a symptom of watching...just to forget the image of a very creepy mutant stroking rusty things.

Ehh, that's something else unintentionally self inflicted that I've come to like.

I do like some thriller novels. I could BARELY read Stationary Bike by Stephen King. Trust me, That is frakking scary.

I sometimes end up crying at night because of the wide awake nightmares. I hate my anxiety issues with a burning passion. Creepypasta is coming close to setting it off and giving me an attack. I still haven't watched any of the Ben Drowned video's with sound. I really really don't know why I keep reading them, but I hate the effects.
    Boo!

AHHHOLYSHITWHATHE... Okay... Okay... I'm fine now.
    Did someone say creepy?

    Pikshures

Thank you, It's not like I was getting to sleep any time soon anyway.

Wait, you have those dreams where you're awake and the old lady or creepy ghost comes and starts putting their hands all over you and breathing into your face with a hollow mouth?

Out of what crypt they crawl, I cannot tell,
But every night I see the rubbery things,
Black, horned, and slender, with membranous wings,
They come in legions on the north wind's swell
With obscene clutch that titillates and stings,
Snatching me off on monstrous voyagings
To grey worlds hidden deep in nightmare's well.

Over the jagged peaks of Thok they sweep,
Heedless of all the cries I try to make,
And down the nether pits to that foul lake
Where the puffed shoggoths splash in doubtful sleep.
But ho! If only they would make some sound,
Or wear a face where faces should be found!
