Phew! Man going from Guitar Hero 3 (My last GH game I own, and I haven't played it in donkey years, plus its the Wii version), to Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, is tough!

You see, what was hard on GH3, is like Normal on WOR.
Go from Hard on there, is like starting on Expert in GH3.

Its tough having to use that 5th fret a lot! XD

Drums are insanely hard, even on easy!

Microphone is pretty straight forward, did a few tracks on it earlier.
I thought my renditions of Tom Sawyer and Burning for You were good, and my Bohemian Rasphody was ok, (considering how it throws you off a lot by making you do some backing vocals. Pause for breath? NO WAY! XD), but Cryin' was dodgy, (I'm not familiar with the song, plus the way the frontman sings is kind of odd at places), and my rendition of Waidsmanns Heil was HILARIOUS!! XD

The problem is that you're playing the musical game series made by non-musicians who previously made skateboarding and Spider-Man games. Rock Band is the way to go, dude. Compare the guitar charts for Through the Fire and Flames in GH3 with the RB version and you'll realize that Guitar Hero had you playing notes that weren't even the guitar.

    edit: Also... donkey years?

You see, I like Rockband, its great and all, but I don't normally like their song choices. (Too general for me)

Same could be said for Guitar Hero 4, 5, and Band Hero, maybe a handful of songs I like, and the rest I hate, (mostly since a lot of the songs were in sub-genres I absolutely LOATHE! >:X)

But Warriors of Rock has a lot of good songs, and some great full band songs which playing some of the other games, was completely lacking in.

I'd say I like about 40 percent of them, which is the best since 3 really.
(3 was about 70%, Greatest Hits was 1,2 and 3 remix, and I liked most of the songs on that too)

I might pick up Rockband 2 or 3, (the Warriors of Rock/Band Hero instruments look like they are compatible from the site), and see if they have dlc songs I like.

Also Donkeys years is a saying, means a long time or old.
Its because Donkeys normally live long lives, and get all old and wrinkly and that.

EDIT: 9 songs. 9/81 I like on Rock Band 3 vs 13/91 on Warriors of Rock, (one of those being 2112)

see if they have dlc songs I like.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complete_list_of_downloadable_songs_for_the_Rock_Band_series#Complete_list_of_available_songs

I'm going to hope that on a list size this massive there's a few you like. ;) Plus then there's the Rock Band Network, tons and tons of unofficial content not produced by Harmonix itself.

I actually really dig the song choices on Rock Band's discs. There's a number of songs and bands that I was just never exposed to prior to Rock Band that I'm really into now. Cool For Cats gets stuck in my head every few weeks or so now. It's cool for ca-a-a-a-ats.

Also HOLY CRAP if I hadn't looked up that link I wouldn't have seen that I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness is on there now. MUST HAVE.

It's not that easy. First, I have to find a coat my size. And since I'm only a few inches above being a legally a midget, that's sort of difficult for me. Took me forever searching through thrift stores to find the trenchcoats I have now, and only one is sort of black...though it's also completely threadbare and rather ragged.

It's easier just to learn how to sew, find a pattern, and adapt it for my size. Then, just add buckles!

It seems completely counterintuitive that vocally going against mainstream opinion would be considered the weak option. :P

Let's not forget the time when women weren't even allowed to own property, so if you didn't have a man to own stuff by proxy you were pretty much screwed.

I at least I got to see some cool stuff, spent most of a day in the Science Museum, a bit of an evening looking at Dinosaur fossils in the Natural History Museum, and various other landmarks of London.

The NHM is probably my favourite bit of architecture in London... that, St Paul's and the Millennium Bridge are all pretty amazing. What else did you see/do there? I need to visit vicariously!

Get a knife, punch 2 holes in the lid, and just pour the contents out.

Please note that if you're not very careful you might lose a couple of fingers or stab yourself in the face.

I have a theory that Doctor Who fans are fucking with non-fans. Every caricature, fanart, or costume you ever see of the Eleventh Doctor is wearing a fez. And yet, not being a fan and not watching the show, I have never just happened across or seen anyone post an actual photo/screengrab of him wearing a fez, and didn't find one until the bottom of the second page of Google image results for "eleventh doctor". This was incredibly confusing until I was actually told who this fez-wearer was supposed to be.

I'm on to all of you.

And it doesn't help any that his entire outfit looks remarkably like Papierwaite when the fez is included.

You're just a bad Googler (and obvious non-Whovian)! Try "fezzes are cool" (actually that's the first suggestion Google made as soon as I'd typed "fezzes").

"Whovian" just makes me think of Dr. Seuss. And my point still stands. Non-fez images far outnumber fez images.

GeForce GTX 590 added to wishlist. Now to find a computer that can use it, as well as a model where I can install an extra fan so I don't have to deal with that messy liquid cooling that's all the rage with the kids. :-P

well you're not supposed to play with the coolant. Huh. That one only uses a single PCI-E slot. Any computer made in the past 5 years should easily run it(checking the PSU of course). The card should be able to keep itself cooled enough unless your computer is already having heat issues. But if you want to go nuts without liquid, you could always get those USB clip fans and put them all over your vents(going the proper way of course)....yes, I take a MacGyver approach to PC repair and maintenance.

Yeah the NHM is a beautiful building. We spent a little while just appreciating it on Friday night. Earlier in the day we went to St. Paul's which is magnificent and spent a bit of time wandering around the financial district, looking at the Lloyd's building, 30 St. Mary Axe (the Gherkin), the Bank of England & the Royal Exchange. In the evening we briefly visited Westminster (the Clock Tower looked beautiful all lit up) and a little of the surrounding area (Whitehall & Trafalgar Square). And on the Saturday morning we went to look at Buckingham Palace, and a bit of the nearby area. Didn't quite make it up to Hyde Park but that was just one of many places we didn't have time to go to.

Lovely! There's way too much to see in just a day or two, isn't there?

If I'd known you'd be there (and around St Paul's / the financial district in particular), I'd have recommended you stop by Guildhall - there's a Roman amphitheatre right under the building. You can go in and walk around the ruin... really makes it hit home how OLD the city is, and how much of that area is new stuff built right on top of old stuff.

And Hyde Park would have the Winter Wonderland happening by now... that's a whole evening just in itself.

I'm really glad you had a good time!

AUGH! Dammit! That wasn't supposed to happen!

On the other hand, I hate the show version of Carol, so maybe this doesn't bug me so much after all.

Edit: Scratch that, it bugs the crap out of me, and not just because it differs from the comics, but because it's a gaping plot hole. I'll elaborate after sleeping.

I hope that when you assassinate me I get one of those waaaaaay overly lengthy cutscenes that all of Altair's freshly stabbed targets got in the first Assassin's Creed.

You're going to have to elaborate, because I don't see what the plot hole is. Personally, I'm hoping that
Hershel knew/suspected that Sophia was in there the whole time, but hid it from them because he thought if they knew they'd never leave, or something like that. Either way, Shane and Daryl in particular are not going to take this very well at all.

That does help with one problem I had with it, but as I recall,
there just wasn't enough time for Sophia to get bitten, make her way towards the farm (or the other way around), get found by Hershel's people, and get put in the barn before Otis shot Carl.

And aside from that, it does still bug the crap out of me that she died so early in the show. Judging by the comics, they had so much more material for her. I don't mind so much when the show adds things that weren't in the comics, but it drives me nuts when it takes things away (number one being the lack of Shane's death).
