The dumb thing is that my Dad is co-signing the note, so credit shouldn't be an issue (especially since my Dad could just buy the house with cash)... and yet the bank is still jerking us around.
I'm not rich. My parents are social security disability attorneys, so they have money, but that doesn't mean I do.
It does mean that they can help my wife and me get a reasonable loan for a house (the one we are looking at is 1500 sq ft; 3 bedroom, 2 bath), but apparently it doesn't make the process any easier because I swear sometimes I daydream about killing my loan banker either with a force choke or else a good old-fashioned metal bat.
I noticed a recent drop in moral levels in this thread with all this getting laid and stalking and what not.
So I just wanted to mention that here is at least one member standing upright while all others seem to sink ever deeper into the black hole of demoralisation.

The back of my store is head office. As much as you have to be proper and professional, you don't want to seem like you have a stick up your ass either. I've had the company president come in a couple times as well as the parent owner. It really doesn't phase me anymore. You always want to have the air that you know your job, you're good and confident at your job, and that you enjoy your job. Too many people are too intimidated, uptight and the whole experience is just uncomfortable for everyone.
Just back from Australia.... for the third time this year. Out again to Peru next week. Was supposed to cross the continent this weekend, but the dude is coming to see me instead so I can have a break from travelling (which is rather appreciated!).
I'm really happy that I had the opportunity to visit home though. If I don't have any particular commitments holding me elsewhere in 18 months time, I'd definitely consider moving back there.
