Graduated from Job Corps today. My Chef was sick and didn't show up. I feel really disappointed.

Congratulations! While you may be disappointed that the sick chef did not appear, you may find assurance in that the people who ate today are relieved he did not.

Dasboshitt actually is making videos again

And has connections with Totalbiscuit now working for the gamestation(and they've been chatting on twitter.

So now about 75% of the people I'm subscribed to have connections to TB and not even on purpose.

I think Futurama is still worthwhile.

Instead of my Chef, who was an amazing teacher, the sub showed up. The sub who would constantly badmouth me and talk about how I'd never get hired because of my "shitty attitude" (I told her off when she said that you have to screw other people over to get anywhere in life for money).

I overheard her after the ceremony complaining that she could only get teaching positions because people would only hire young people. Welp.

Here's the biggest problem. The first two episodes were the worst of the series. The first two episodes was a less funny adaptation of the movie. They removed the funniest jokes.

I mean I seriously think it could have been a great series. They had the right idea. They just pulled it off poorly.

Same idea applies to this new Star Wars Series. This could be really good, and manage to NOT piss off the fans for once. They just need to be careful and make sure they have the talent to pull it off.

On TV? Quite possibly. All together? No.

Or she's secretly there to show everyone that people with an attitude like that don't get anywhere. Whatever.

So do you keep working at the same place, or is on to somewhere else now?

I think it was trying too hard, personally. Then again, I tend to prefer humor videos that are either short (just a few minutes) or have a serious plot underlying the humor. It's very rare that I enjoy something that just goes from joke to joke. As soon as the jokes start missing, then there's nothing to hang onto.

With that said, I did chuckle at Obi Wan's standup routine. "That joke was hilarious and you all liked it."

Well, I technically finished job corps 8 months ago. It was just the graduation ceremony was today. I'm still working full time at a hotel as a cook, and I don't see that changing for at least a little while. I'm hoping to move on sometime next year, but who knows.

Edit: Oh my god why did no one tell me that there's a 15 minute version?

I don't have a psychiatrist and I'm not sure if the health plan I'm under covers one. I worry about my mental state at times and I don't know what my options are when it comes to help.

Mental Health benefits are usually separate from your health plan. Chances are you got some information about this when you enrolled for benefits (assuming you have some from your employer). If you have an employee website, check that. Otherwise, ask HR. Some plans require you pick someone from a specific network (or make a specific network much cheaper).

I find packing much more fun if I make "bleep bloop" noises and pretend I'm playing Tetris.

I haven't even started packing yet. I should get on that.

I haven't started yet either... But given that I don't leave til Thursday, packing now would be somewhat premature. I'm sure I'll end up panic-packing the night before like I do for every trip. :p

    1. When you're creating a new thread, scroll down.
    2. Under the "Submit New Thread" button you'll see a section called "Additional Options". Tick the box that says "Yes, post a poll with this thread".
    3. Submit the new thread. You'll get the section to specify the poll options on the next page.

I'm still waiting for the ultimate Mortal Kombat, which has every kharacter that has ever appeared in a Mortal Kombat game (yes, EVERY), with all their alternate costumes from every game AND every movie or series, and their best / most favorite fatalities. It would also have, aside from Babalities, Friendships, Animalities, Brutalities, all those things that made Mortal Kombat fun.

Also, it would have all stages represented in some form. Even the 3D Mortal Kombat games would be represented, although the gameplay would still be in 2D.

Also, it would have Techno Syndrome.

EDIT: Also, a lot of kharacters should have both a ninja costume and a cyborg version.

I never pack until the day before. Then again, I usually don't bring much stuff when I go somewhere, even if I'm moving. Yes, this includes when I moved into and out of my college housing.

I just got a great bargain sold to me. The complete series of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, Batman: The Animated Series/The New Adventures of Batman And Robin, and Superman: The Animated Series for only 50 bucks. The dvds aren’t even scratched, and they all work perfectly!

I have a list. It's a fairly long list, but this is going to be a bit of a different con than NDK, so there's stuff I won't be bringing.

All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn
The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh baby, I hate to go

Booths are so passé. We've had a fully automated suicide machine since 1995.
