I enjoyed the FOTAQ Let's Play too. I enjoyed it personally, but it's definitely full of flaws. So it's fun to see someone rip it apart. :)

I liked the let's play, but you're also one of the best members here Davies.

Well... it was at least long enough to accept my friendship request. :D

I've been on internet hiatus when I got my job back in 2008. Well, ugly it was! ;)

...but sometimes it can even be healthy. Anything but the things you allude to. The net is everywhere. Sooner or later, it will catch you even in your new apartement. We'll be waiting.

    Until then, all the best!

p.s. Should you return in 2013 and find that the forum looks and behaves wildly different, don't worry. It's just the new forum. A petulant child that we will keep beating with our mod hammers until it has the right form.

Just to let people know that I will be working on a new installment of my let's play for upload on Saturday morning. Thank you all for the words of support and encouragement.
I enjoyed it! And it's been a long time, but I think you might have possibly left us at a cliffhanger. So of course I'd like to see the rest.

Annie Wilkes will be disappointed when it's revealed that the conclusion to the cliffhanger involves Joe jumping out of the cock-a-doodie car!

Seriously though, each part of the let's play is one continuous cliffhanger until the game has actually been completed. Best get used to those cliffhangers!

 At first I thought that you were saying that my let's play is full of flaws (which would be a true enough statement to make but a little disheartening to read).

If by "Best" you mean "most certifiably insane" then yes, yes I am.

Frankly I was surprised to see a request for friendship from you, simply because I had always just assumed that we had already been on each others friends lists for ages now anyway!

Whoops. Poor wording on my part.:o The game is full of flaws, your Let's Play is flawless at pointing out those flaws.:D

I've just finished playing through the next section of 'Flight of the Amazon Queen' for my let's play (whilst taking screengrabs). There's some pretty good potential material there I think.

    Now comes the hard part...

And has just recently announced that he shall be departing once more, just as I myself have returned, in what is a cruel twist of fate. Why can't the web truly be world-wide? Then we could all just be one big joyous community. Unless, of course, someone decides to bugger off for a set of reasons entirely unrelated to internet connection... like me.

Nae, nae! I was referencing your next departure, and my previous buggering-off. Now that I'm back, I think I'll stick around for quite some time. This always has been one of my favourite spots on the internet; I can't actually remember why it was I stopped visiting in the first place. Any notable changes during my absence?

    URGENT HELP REQUIRED

Please can somebody help me. I've created a video for use with my let's play of 'Flight of the Amazon Queen' and uploaded it to YouTube. However because I used a copyrighted song in it, it's been flagged as an infringement of copyright (fair enough).

However, I really want to use this video for my let's play (I spent 2 hours making it) but unfortunately I've deleted the actual source video from my computer. Please can somebody instruct me on how to download the video from YouTube on to my hard disk (before it gets pulled) so that I can re-upload it to a better hosting site (without the annoying copyright shit?).

I'm using a Mac by the way, so any suggested methods will have to work with OSX.

Please, pretty please? I've only got a few hours to get this sorted.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks so much for the quick response but it's not working for me. It says "Java Applet Loaded. Fetching links..." but it never does anything else!

As if that wasn't bad enough, I have spend the last 3 hours typing in the new installment of my let's play into this forum, only to hit 'The Walking Dead' banner by mistake and when I've pressed 'back', I've lost everything!

    FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

    Looks like I'm starting over!

    FUCKING HELL!!!

This time I'm typing it into Word and then pasting it to the forum.

Man, I'm so pissed off right now!

Probably not but you know what? I'm so pissed off right now that I'm just going to redo everything (including the video). Should make for some seriously weird and angry "comedy" at least! :/

I'll upload the let's play at stupid o'clock in the morning.

    Thanks for your help, guys.

Darn, I must have skipped over that part where you said you're using a Mac.

Well, then, I'm all out of answers. Now I can only start suggesting programs I've never used before, which may or may not work.

I'm... not entirely sure what this guy is trying to say.

That reindeer aren't real? That unicorns are? That cows are fictional? That horns are imaginary? That people are stupid? (He's probably saying that last one whether he meant to or not)

Also, you don't believe in real things. Because they exist whether or not you believe they do and belief is generally relegated to things where there can be no proof of existence.
  • edited December 2012
I'm hoping that there is some reference that we are just missing here.
  • edited December 2012
Probably the thing about discovering unicorns in North Korea.

Sure, they might have discovered unicorns. But seeing as North Korea is full of shit most of the time, I reserve the right to doubt anything they claim until they let some qualified paleontologists into the country to take a peek.
