18 years ago my grandfather died of lung cancer, he wasn't a smoker I was a year old a didn't understand that sort of thing. From what I understand he was an amazing human being. My only memories of him include pictures and videos of him, but my family always has nice stories about him. It's just now hitting me how I never really got to know him. I feel like I'm missing someone to look up to. I'm sure I would have absolutely loved him
Today I learned it is possible to miss someone you don't remember.
(I forgot to shade the arm and leg though. *derp*)
(That being said though. Its been ages since I attempted free handing, (or any kind of art at all!), and I think I've gotten a little better (Like how you don't play a game for ages and come back to it, and magically you're suddenly a bit better and you get past that bit you were stuck on))

I feel the same way about my grandfather. He died of complications in surgery several months after a car accident. My mom was only 14 at the time. From his eight children, he had 22 grandchildren, and only three of them ever got to meet him. I've heard so many stories, and he sounds like an amazing man, and I wish I could've met him.
"Shit" may just be the most functional word in the English language. Consider, you can get shitfaced, shit-out-of-luck, or have shit for brains. With a little effort, you can get your shit together, find a place for your shit, or be asked to shit or get off the pot. You can smoke shit, buy shit, lose shit, find shit, forget shit, or tell others to eat shit. Some people know their shit, while others can’t tell the difference between shit and shineola. There are lucky shits, dumbshits, and crazy shits. There’s bullshit, horseshit, and chickenshit. You can throw shit, sling shit, catch shit, shoot the shit, or duck when the shit hits the fan. You can give a shit or serve shit on a shingle. You can find yourself in deep shit or be happier than a pig in shit. Some days are colder than shit, some days are hotter than shit, and some days are just plain shitty. Some music sounds like shit, things can look like shit, and there are times when you feel like shit. Just wanted you to know that I do give a shit, and hope you have a nice day, without a bunch of shit. But if you happen to catch a load of shit from some shithead...
I had to kill a few minutes in a Walgreens today, so I was browsing all the things in the pharmacy area, when I noticed something interesting. Walgreens is having a sale on home paternity tests, normally $29.99, sale price $26.99.
I am wondering whom they are aiming this promotion at. Are there guys out there thinking,
"You know, I've always wondered if that kid is mine, but $29.99 was just too much to find out for sure. But $26.99? Now you're talking!"
Or...
"Hey, paternity tests are on sale! Time to stock up for all of the random children I'll be accused of fathering this year!"
I'm taking the unpopular path on this one, I just feel it. I kind of liked the new Tomb Raider. I haven't heard anyone call it an Uncharted clone yet, but I do find that funny as I thought the exact inverse when I first played Uncharted. No, she's not off raiding tombs. It's a reboot and it gives her more of an origin story that isn't just text and flashbacks. Where the previous games and Uncharted had the humour, this game is just brutal survival.
If this truly is a new first in a series, I don't have a problem with how it was handled and delivered(I can even stand the odd QTE they threw in...which they never explain how it works. Strangled a good half dozen times before I figured out to hold the damn button). I would expect a sequel to settle into the series more so than this. This game really starts to feel like an unfunny Die Hard half way through it(she really shouldn't have lived through the game).
I am starting to hate setting up networks, been working on it for 4 weeks and it still does not work...
On another note, tonight I am going to open mike and watch my brother do stand-up, it's going to be a real blast. Tomorrow I am goin to the cinema to watch Parker, I love Jason Statham movies.
Does anyone here actually use Desura?
Especially for games other than those on indie bundles.
Desura had three big features over Steam early on.
Mod management. Before Steam Workshop, mod integration was really poor in Steam, and Desura's implementation is arguably still better and definitely supported on a more widespread level.
Linux Support. Give Steam a year or so and it'll have Desura beat.
Easier indie submission. If Greenlight indicates a new direction for Steam, this will be done soon enough. I honestly expect, from interviews that Gabe has given, that you will be able to sell Steam copies of games "automatically" and that things like Greenlight will be used to decide what ends up in the storefront, combining the curated storefront selection of Steam with the freedom to buy anything that the PC has naturally. I honestly think this is the only way for Steam to continue to grow more than it already has, other than expanding into new markets(like the Linux and TV-connected console space).
Right now, the only supported thing I can think of that Desura has and Steam really needs to move their feet on? Alpha funding. As it is, Steam only sells "complete" products, while Desura lets people pay during the alpha and beta phases and get early builds of a game.
So what you're saying is, if a user doesn't often mod nor ever use Linux, and would rather play games after they've gone gold, then there's very little reason to use Desura instead of Steam.
And, barring all of that, the primary reason to use Desura in addition to Steam is because indie developers in particular have (or at least had) an easier time releasing games there.

Not strictly true as far as I know. I'm sure my friend had and played alpha versions of Endless Space before it's full release through Steam and I've just seen Arma 3 alpha is coming soon.
Plus they let Double Fine put up their Amnesia Fortnight prototypes as well, you can't exactly call them complete products.
There are probably more examples, these are just the ones off the top of my head.
As for Desura, the only thing I've ever used it for was so I could easily play the Stanley Parable mod.
So where the fuck is the major game review that says: "No tomb, no raidin', keep that shit for yourself, SquareEnix"??
Yeah, sorry, really bad mood. Work was exhausting AND I ruined my Dreamfall fan art contest entry yesterday simply by adding too much watercolor. Came out too dark, all details lost, it's just a big dark patch of color now. God DAMN. It would have been finished right now.
Well there are Tombs but they are optional. And there is raiding too. Oh and Steam. A must-buy then.
I was thinking pedals. I don't know exactly, but I think it might be some sort of slang for something in marine life. Or maybe they were going for paddle and didn't know how to spell. I was just thinking that shoes and trains and pianos all have pedals.
Comments
Thankfully, I've only played a full eight minutes of Uncharted, so I can't really complain about anything. I just wouldn't know.
Quick! To the Randamanobile!
Doodleeooodedooladooo!
And, if anything, comparing Tomb Raider to Uncharted makes me want to buy Tomb Raider more, not bitch and moan about it being similar.
I think it's just that the internet is full of trolls.
Today I learned it is possible to miss someone you don't remember.
(Terrible at doing proportions though. Somehow I always seem a little unable to judge relative scale. At least when I start)

this is the city that i live in
Well, shit happens.
STILL the best freaking poster EVER!

This is why companies shouldn't keep me waiting.
(Who's counting? Not me, obviously.)
Man, still in his 50s. That sucks. I'll be pissed if I start dying in my 50s.
Hellzablazin’.

And Meshuggah, holy crap, what an amazing band.
edit: Hmmm... Steam community haz ideaz. Let's try this.
Especially for games other than those on indie bundles.
There are indie bundles I don't get because half the games are on Desura and I cba to use more than Steam and GOG.
Mod management. Before Steam Workshop, mod integration was really poor in Steam, and Desura's implementation is arguably still better and definitely supported on a more widespread level.

If I ever get round to playing around with RPG maker, I need to make something like that... XD
Edit: and then the next game to make would be something like
Persona of Mana Hunter Tactics: Gemerald Red Edition
Loving the music video though
...you're not impressed?
The whole reason I didn't go back and edit my post to say that was because I was waiting for someone else to. Thank you for not disappointing me.

Anyone know the frigging answer?
It's not sound (the boot alone makes none); it's not feet/wheels (the whale has neither); it's not locomotion (a piano ideally isn't moved too often).
Things.
Black.
