This game was amazing! It felt great to play a part in one of may favorite movies (or at least the world of my favorite movie). I hope they do make another game, because I'd hate to not see what comes next.

and I didn't say 'OHH BOYY!' at the end but more like 'HOLY @$#! YES! PLEASE GOD YES!'

I still wanted to see Clara and the boys though. :( That was the only thing I was disappointed about. But Doc's
    gift to Marty
    was pretty sweet.

Not necessarily. If there's an older save, assuming you didn't rely on auto-save, you can use that and not go into the glass house before asking the diver dude about Emmett.

why oh why, with that cliffhanger on Tales of Monkey Island for a new season they continue on with junk titles like sam & max

Sam & Max is hardly a "junk" title.

Someone called Sam & Max junk title?

    Blasphemy!

I absolutely loved the ending. I was laughing so hard all the way through. :) I think a season two would be great but how they're going to follow on from that i have no idea.

Also was I the only who didn't see the 'to be continued' at the end cos I was too lazy to watch through all the credits. I just automatically assumed that there wouldn't be anything. I guess I'm just too lazy :)

Is there really going to be another game? I just finished Episode 5, and at the end of the credits it says "To Be Continued" What the hell, man? Does that mean I have to buy another game later on? I mean I got no problem paying for BTTF stuff, but, the possibility of another game, mind-boggling.

In a perfect world, it would just be a throwback reference to the end of the other films.

No, wait. In a perfect world, this thing wouldn't have been made in the first place. =/

Right, it is insulting to all the good junk out there.
(Granted, that is not based on any puzzles or plot lines, but just on the fact that I just can't stand the main characters of that series)

You seem to jump onto every topic showing your dislike of the game. You have been at this for months. We get it.. you don't like it. I think you have made that crystal clear. Are you just bitter because Telltale didn't make the game the way you would have liked?

Don't mind him, you know what the best thing to do with Rather Dashing is?

TOLERATE and LOVE the s**t out of him, his opinion is that the game sucks, it's just that, an opinion, besides, no ones twisting his arm to come onto this forum or play the game.

I wish I could've posted the picture of Twilight, but it was to big.

I do hope a second series gets made, same people working on it of course, and maor future plz. That was my only gripe that we didn't get to see any of the future.

I LOVED the ending! "Let's walk slowly into the lab and hope there aren't any more surprises...." I just hope they don't do what Gale and Zemeckis did to themselves with the end of the original: make a funny ending and then have to write a sequel where you're stuck starting with that funny ending. That's why Jennifer spends most of Parts II and III asleep lol. Telltale did leave leadway with the way Doc and Marty departed. Now Marty can just say "To hell with those older Matry's, let's go to the 40's!" or whatever.

In a perfect world, Final Fantasy XII would've had an interesting non-over-political plot, Final Fantasy XIII would've had a bigger, more open world, The Force Unleashed 2 would've been longer, Sonic Unleashed wouldn't have had that stupid "were-hog", Soul Calibur IV would've have a better character creation system, all Star Trek fans would've loved JJ Abrams's film, we'd be getting a real Spider-man 4 instead of a reboot, Transformers 2 would've had a real script instead of a plot-hole ridden draft thanks to a writers' strike, Fox wouldn't have cancelled Firefly, the Super Mario Bros. movie would've kicked off a slew of good video game movies instead of crap ones, etc.

The Spiderman reboot is kinda lame. Now we have to start all over again with Parker back at High School :(

To tell you the truth, I honestly don't mind Sonic Unleashed either, can't say anything about Final Fantasy though, and I'm kinda guessing Emo Peter probably prompted the reboot, but that's just me.

Sonic Unleashed had it's good points, but the werehog and the QTEs on the PS3 versions ruined it.

Emo Spidey actually had nothing to do with it. Sony pictures and Sam Raimi had "creative differences".

Can't say I've played the PS3 version, I have the 360 version, and oh, though you have to admit, emo Peter was pretty bad, at least IMO anyways.

I can't wait for the second season, I'm totally going to buy every season if they come out with one. My only beef is that I wish it was a bit less linear.
I would LOVE to have a BTTF sandbox game, where you can explore all of Hill Valley without any restrictions on where you can go, guess I just have to wait a bit longer for GTA Vice City: Hill Valley Mod to be finished. Then I will be satisfied.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've heard rumors that if you bought the game here, then you have the ability to preorder a boxed set of the first season with discs you can put on a shelf! Anyone else think that is an awesome idea? Granted I've already played it and beaten it, it would be cool to have a physical copy so that I don't have to download them all again after uninstalling them to save space on my pc.
Anyone care to share any thoughts about that?

Even with the Sam and Max series?

Yes. I have all three seasons of Sam and Max on my shelf right now. You can see the disc art for Sam and Max Season One, Season Two, and Season Three in the store. The only Telltale-made download games that do not come with discs are Telltale Texaas Hold 'em, the two Bone games, and Poker Night. This is the same case with Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, which is a LucasArts-made game that does not have a disc version, and Hector, which is ported by Telltale but not developed by them, neither have discs. The Bone games have discs, but they're different products from the download version, and I believe Texas Hold 'Em actually had a retail release at one point as well.

...Hm, I suppose I forgot to mention Blades of Stenchtar....

    This confirms nothing.

It did? I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger. It was more like making fun of the ending of "The Wizard of OZ." Unless I was missing something... To be honest most of the H*R Toons never have a Rational ending to begin with... er end with, in this matter of speaking.

I did find the ending humorous and WAY less confusing then the S&M Season 3 ending. (Considering the fact there were two endings and ended on a Semi-Cliffhangerish.) though the "To be Continued" kinda threw me off... Espically considering that Telltale has other sereis worthy o a sequel that more people will want and enjoy.

To be honest, I thought it was a simple nod to the ending of the first movie, just in a really ridiculous fashion. Then I come on here and hear there is going to be another set of episodes. Great, another way to spend 25 bucks. But I really wouldn't have it any other way. I like the game canon. I might not fit perfectly in with the movie canon, but it is great if you give it some slack fitting in.

Yeah, personally, that's what I think it was, an over the top homage to the end of the first movie.

See, I would like to see it as that, if only to not get my hopes up. But throwing in the "To Be Continued"? That tells me that they plan for another season. Hopefully they aren't just messing around because they don't need to do what Gale and Zemeckis did with the ending of BTTF. They don't need to write themselves into a corner for the sequel.

Gale and Zemeckis didn't do that. It was a teaser, which is why Jennifer went along. They played it smart. They wanted to do a sequel, but weren't so sure how well it would do, which is why the TBC was added on the VHS people bought, not the theater showing.

The ending was meant to be ridiculous, but this is simply ... twisting it on its head.
  • edited June 2011
Bttf 1 in the theatres just had the end. Bttf 1 home video release had to be continued to wet peoples appetite for a sequel, which was then made. So either they added tbc just as an easter egg, or they are considering another season. At the end off the day only time will tell forgive the pun!

No. No, no, no. Gale and Zemeckis intended the "We've gotta go to the future to save your kids" ending to BE A JOKE. They were NOT wanting to do a sequel. They were not EXPECTING to do a sequel. They weren't even sure the film was going to be a success or not. They've stated, "If we'd have known that we were going to be doing another one, we wouldn't have put Jennifer in the car."

It would be IMPOSSIBLE for them to know for sure at this juncture, unless there are aspects of the current deal that we don't know about, or they signed another deal with Universal without our knowing. It's entirely possible that a great number of things could happen to make another season difficult or impossible to produce at this juncture, even if it was a success(and, financially, it probably was). At most, they could be fairly certain, but even then they have a great number of projects to cycle through before they even have the option of considering picking this project back up for another go.

Well then they shouldn't have put it there. I realize its there to excite the fans and all that but I would rather it just be blank and not be anticipating anything than get all worked up over nothing.
The game got some quite bad reviews and probably not as many people would buy it if they released another season so it might not happen.
