Rate 400 days
Okay it is simple i haven't played the game yet, but I am curious if people think it is good or not. Simply rate the game out of 10, 1 being terrible/don't bother and 10 being brilliant and totally worth it.

It's great but not to the extent for it to be a 9. For it to be a nine and over i would like it to be a bigger and longer episode which gives more context between everything that has happend (which might come in S2 anyway).
For a DLC it's very good but and 8.9 it is. IF not using decimals it's an 8.
I didn't like the DLC for many reasons. It is far from having Telltale's TWD standards.
The timeline would have been a great idea if you were able to relate a little to any of the characters (every one of them has 20 minutes approx.). I can't get into the mind of a character in 20 minutes. At least Vince and Shel has some introduction; Wyatt, Russel and Bonnie are straight on the road, ready to make choices and mistakes even if you don't know something about them.
Vince is nicely introduced and his part starts Day 2. So that's ok for me.
Shel is also introduced with all her overprotective comments before her part really starts. I know what's her goal.
I don't know much about Bonnie and her group. What's Bonnie's goal?
What happened before Wyatt and his friend hit the road? He is also "very hard" to "roleplay" because he's dumb. It could have been interesting with some context but the DLC lacks it.
What happened to Russel? What is he looking for? Where does he come from?
Nate was the star of the show.
But overall, absolutely no emotion, no real surprise... I don't know, I was able to understand how to play Lee really quickly, I had emotions in episode 1...
They know a lot of things you don't and I didn't like that. As Lee, you started from scratch and were able to "make" his personnality within situations new to him. Here, I only met people who know what is happening and know what to do.
I can't relate to people spending 400 days in this mess within 20 minutes. Not a really good experience.
4/10 as a game
Honestly the story was very immersive and exciting, characters everything but not boring/shallow,a lot of interesting choices that were managed to be perfectly incorporated (timed) in an hour and half, and the choices themselves matter more then in any episode so far.A lot of unnecessary exploring and solving puzzles has been cut out so,although short, the 15-20 minutes you spend with each of the 5 characters is filled with story progression/dialogue/choices (that again, matter). Also hats off to the way DLC changes scenes depending on the order in which you play the episodes. I gave the DLC 9,5 simply because of the length of the stories, but like TT said, they are SHORT stories. The point of 400 Days isn't really for one to become connected to the characters like in Season 1 anyway. We got an awesome, hour and a half,choice-mattering short story that serves as an excellent bridge between Season 1 and 2. Again, its a DLC,not a season.
....and if you actually read all this, thanks. :P
Would be higher if not for Wyatt's scenario.
I really hate that Season Two is going to be so far along in the timeline away from Season One.
Had some bugs on the steam version with xbox buttons constantly showing up. Also with 1h20mins I was quite surprised about the shortness. I didn't like the fact they reused so many voiceactors, was really distracting to me because I recognized their characters from the main game. The little stories are alright I guess,
or how when Bonnie smacks Dee they act like it was an accident, but if you don't hit her, she will instantly kill you. Lazy! Russels story I don't get, he didn't join me in the end even though I tried both: leaving Nate or staying with Nate
Maybe I just expected too much for a $6.50 (EU price). It was alright I guess.
How long until Season 2 by the way? And how long was it between Season 1 episodes? 1-2 months?
So excited!!!
What...? Their are literally at least five answers to this question on the page.
Like a nine, right? Maybe you've got high standards? If you say five, I'm going to flip.
This is one of those times I wish there was a like button. XD
I give this a 8/10. The stories were good, but it felt like there was something missing in Wyatt's for some odd reason. I'm interested in how this'll all play out in Season 2.
Nice.
FIVE!!
Nate's awesomeness/insanity aside, I'd give the DLC a good 8/10. The stories, and the DLC itself, were a bit too short for me to actually get attached to the characters, but I found most to be well written for the short time that we saw them.
Especially Nate.
I enjoyed it a lot. No bugs here.

Mostly because I really hate how the ending turns out, it made me feel sore about all the decisions I've taken. Vince agrees with my choices in that last bit of dialogue, but then he stays at the camp. Why? The same happened with one of the other characters.
The DLC is just really bad at indicating who comes with you, and the dialogue choices seem to be there to sway that join/stay choice but ultimately fails at it.
And then the game makes you feel like a total dick about some of the choices you take. For example, with Shel, you get to choose whether that non-English speaker dies or lives. If you let him live and let him get away, one of the characters die, and then the game seems to heavily chastise you if you choose to shoot Stephanie at the end of that story, as if you're supposed to make the absolute decision as a player rather than in context in accordance to the situation of the characters themselves.
Some of the decisions that you have to take in the DLC also seem more extreme and impactful and seem to have more consequences than a lot of what I've seen in Season 1 with Lee, but I didn't like the way the game came off about it.
But yea, ending, got no idea why some of the characters decided to stay in the camp.
Although, I do appreciate how Telltale seems to have done a lot of experimentation with this DLC, a lot of it works really well, but what doesn't really falls flat on its face.
Stuff included there definitely could score it way higher number from me but this multiple control five characters in span of few hours didn't really give any of the characters enough screen time. I would rather had one character to control in span of 400 Days story and just see what happens around him/her.
Voice acting, story, and fun factor all solid.
Some bugs, wish TT could even look at L.A Noire with lip matching words being said. Not a high buget game, if they did it how come you cant? Don't rush.
One episode, the movement was really bad. Cant see where your going, felt as if I was playing a demo.
1: There were a handful of instances of gimmicky controls, particularly when playing as Bonnie and having to pull the rebar out of the ground... When you're in the middle of a cornfield trying to avoid getting killed, where every second counts, it's probably not a good idea to make me read completely new instructions from out of nowhere. There was really no need to change the control scheme for that little bit - just mashing Q would have worked fine.
2: In the ending, I only managed to get 3 of the 5 survivors to go with Tavia. While I can understand that Telltale wants us to feel like our choices are making a larger difference than the first season, all this really means is that I have to go back and play through the episode again in order to do it properly.
For example, in the first season, the 'correct' choice and the 'wrong' choice is really down to personal opinion - during episode 4, do you leave Clementine in the house with an injured Omid, or do you take her with you to Crawford, where there's more risk but you can more easily keep an eye on her? What's 'right' and 'wrong' is more ambiguous.
In 400 days, you either make the right choice or the wrong choice. In the bus scene, do you shoot Danny or Justin? If you shoot Justin, then that was the wrong choice and Vince doesn't go with Tavia. When playing as Wyatt, do you stay in the car, or look for the body? If you look for the body then that was the wrong choice and Wyatt doesn't go with Tavia.
In short, season 2 should have more ambiguous choices and fewer right-or-wrong choices.
Edit: Also, for some reason I can't rewind 400 days, so... Looks like I'm gonna have to play the entire season all over again just so I can make the 'right' choices again.
3: I can't really relate to a character if I'm only playing them for 20 minutes... I sincerely hope we're only playing a single character in season 2 for this reason.
Here are my thoughts:
- It's hard to build up any emotions in the short time.
- There are 5 different short stories. They make me interested in the characters, but they don't have much meat on them.
- Playing it really feels like some kind of preview/demo.
- It doesn't really give any feedback about Season 1, except for a certain group with a certain type of transportation device.
There stories are fine and I liked it, but it's not as intense, as the episodes of Season 1.
