'The Little Mermaid?'

I hope we see more of her side! Isn't she like some stripper though?

I'm almost shure that we'll se more of her in the next episodes. And yes, she'a stripper working for Georgie.Maybe Georgie took advantage of (her same as Lilly).I think that she's a good charachter because she helped Bigby with "that appointment":she gave her own money to help Bigby.(this happens when Bigby's out of money).

Yes, she us a stripper. I hope we see more of her, I like that she helped Bigby in the best way she could by getting him a room at the Open Arms to investigate

To find out who she was broke my heart.

I hope that before the end of the game, Snow will succesfully bring this wind of change in Fabletown she talked about earlier in the game, and that some of the most unfortunate Fables will escape their miserable fate.

I've managed to control myself as Bigby when confronting Georgie, but if I ever see him actually mistreating the Little Mermaid, I'll unleash the beast and he will regret the day he became a pimp.

  • Right on. Her backstory sounds excruciatingly painful, nobody should ever mistreat her from what we've seen of her so far!

  • Georgie also had a 'Kiss the girl' tattoo on his chest, thought that was a nice detail from telltale games!!! (:

  • That's from his nursery rhyme. Nothing in Fables uses Disney inserts. There was no Jamaican crab singing calypso in the original Hans Christian Anderson fairytale.

Yeah, told Georgie to scram! Little mermaid has had many crap on her life as it is. I knew who she was cause I saw her in a spoiler so she just broke my heart when I saw her in the strip club. Specially since I had a crush on her when I was little.

I really hope things go well for her. Georgie got lucky I didn't trash the place. I am trying to be nice with pieces of crap.

  • Yeah that was so sad to see that it was her. I'm with you, I'll go beast mode on Georgie if he touches her lol. Glad I could give her all my money, hopefully she can leave the strip club with that money

  • Did you happened to take that huge pack of money from the interrogation scene? Did you gave her all that? I was thinking on doing a new replay just to give her all that pack of money and see what happens. She is my crush as a child after all, I guess it would be the least I could do.

Poor thing, I also hope she can find a good character to be with, like Sir Galahad or something.

  • I think I might do that also lol. I feel bad for her just because of how her original tale ended. The fact that whenever she walks she's walking on broken glass got me pretty sad because Georgie was being very cruel to her when he was trying to dance even though she was in immense pain.

  • I took the money from the interrogation scene and from the floor safe and gave all to her >_>

  • Same here.

  • If you look on the wiki, the actual little mermaid story is extremely sad.

  • Yeah, it is. I remember seeing Disney's The Little Mermaid when I was a kid and getting annoyed because I felt like they got everything wrong. She didn't marry the prince, and she didn't live happily ever after.

I know! I saw the Fables version of Snow White and how the 7 dwarves made her their slave, and physically and sexually abused her. That's not in the Disney version haha.

  • You might want to tag your comment as Spoilers for the comic. Not everyone has read Willingham's series and that's a pretty big revelation for Snow's backstory.

  • Took all the money from the safe, then when prompted to pay her to maintain the ruse I gave her all of it. The smile of gratitude she gives you (since she'll be able to pocket at least half of it) lights up the room. Hopefully Georgie won't get wind of it and punish her somehow. In the preview for Episode 3 there's a shot of what appears to be her crying on one of the couches in the main room of the club while Georgie comes up and calls you a Bastard. It's possible it might have something to do with my taking his day's earnings from the aforementioned safe. Either way, if it's Georgie that reduces her to tears, well, there goes my Paragon Bigby for that scene >.<

  • What kind of mermaid is she? Her legs are real, not glamoured. That's what she told Bigby. Maybe "little mermaid" is her artistic nickname.

  • She's from the original version of the story. She didn't marry the prince and the cost of her legs wasn't her voice but it was that she walks on needles and broken glass instead.

So the legs are real and she's the little mermaid, nothing to do with artistic I think.

  • Actually the cost was her tongue. The broken glass feeling was just the result of having legs at all.

  • I think she'll be the next victim, the two people killed were both prostitutes too.

  • No! Her death must be stopped. She already had the worst as it is.
Besides in the 3rd episode she can take a liking to you depending on your previous actions.

  • oh god I really hope not, her life is already turn to shit, now she may be killed, oh geeze poor girl.:( Wish I can be her prince charming and take her away from this nightmare.

  • I'm confused now. She talks and walks normally in game.

  • Really? The version I read of the story was the pain caused by walking :o If she has no tongue how can she talk?

  • No. Georgie was moaning at her dancing and you can see from her facial expressions she was in pain.
The tongue could be glamour I'm not sure.

Idk if this is explained in the comics or not, I haven't read them yet.

  • Not cool. I've read a decent amount of the comic and I still haven't gotten to 1001 Nights of Snowfall. Thanks for that particular spoiler.

  • Well, not all the fables in Fables jibe exactly with their stories. Willingham tends to pick and choose what'll work for his characters and plots. This is no different. She's definitely mute in the original story, though.

Yeah, I think they were taking some artistic license by restoring her voice. It would have been harder for that scene to play out if she had been mute. You're right about the fact that they don't all exactly match their original tales, for instance in the old stories 2 of the 3 little pigs get eaten by the wolf, Bluebeard is killed by his wife's brothers, and so on. So, I think that the characters are what's the most important, and a few things get changed so that they can fit into the universe.

  • No, she doesn't appear in the comics. There is a mermaid story in 1001 Nights of Snowfall, but it's not The Little Mermaid.

  • I hope not. I think the ribbons are the murder weapons, and I think Bigby will work it out in time to save Nerissa. If another prostitute dies, I think it'll be the door greeter at the Pudding and Pie.
