    What's a "not soul"?

Well, it's kinda like a soul except it's not. And I'm currently in debt to:
52 Demons (36 Of the underworld, 16 of them on earth)
    29 Dinosaurs
52003 Little ants from my back yard
and Currently half the population of the US

With all that debt you must have really big feet.

THANKS! *goes to add it to my homestar runner frets on fire pack*
Is there any chance someone can get 'Limozeen is not Very Nice'
  • edited October 2008
Baddest of the Bands was fantastic! It had all the things I like in a video game: Cheat Kicking, invisible promoter hats, and most importantly...

TEEN GIRL SQUAD meets LIMOZEEN! The greatest cross over ever! I'm talkin' Jetsons meets Flintstones over here. I saved my game at that point so I could watch the cross over anytime I want.

    Which is right now, actually.

Amazing. I actually beat the main game without aid of the Walkthrough. The only thing, though, would be if the final episode were similar to the 200th sbemail, where Strong Bad learns that HOMESTAR is starring in his own game, with his Happy 8600 fixed, and you gotta ruin Homestar's game, to take back the Point-And-Click Thunder! *Thunderclaps can be heard*

I stand behind "Demonic Octopus Incorporated" being a completely awesome band name.

Wow, did you really get that? I spent ages trying to get Devastating Octopus Incorporated, which I think is way completely awesomer, 'cause I mean, it's a Devastating Octopus! Demonic sounds like a generic way to make something cooler, whereas devastating is DEVASTATING!

Of course, it would be even cooler if there was some sort of cross between the two.

Did anyone else have the problem of Homestar's song not playing in Club T.C? It never, ever, EVER worked for me and I always got silence. As in, watching Homestar mouth the words with no sound whatsoever. I've been able to put up with music disappearing, phantom Max/bear thing shirts and eyeless characters up to this point, but I think it's a bit silly that the game could be released with a glitch this major going unnoticed...I bet now it'll turn out to be a problem with my installation and then I'll look stupid. :p

Anway, that aside, I thought this was a great episode with some great comedic moments and clever, unique puzzles, and it was nice to see Strong Mad's room (Come on in heeeeere!) the inside of Marzipan's house (I'll ignore the closet now being the kitchen and the answering machine on the other side of the room) and it's interesting to note that the 12 main characters don't appear to be trapped alone in their own endless, empty, hill-filled universe anymore, with the appearance of the bats and Limozeen's interaction with the cast (sort-of). Now I can sleep at night! :p

Also: D.O.I was awesome (for me they had the name Diamond Omelette Insurance) and Homsar is as loveable as ever. :D But where was the Poopsmith? Surely he could've shred some hot lixx or played his symbols or something. In fact, I was expecting him not to show up until the end and it would be revealed that he and Senor Cardgage won the contest. Ah well.

Also, you guys really like the Drive-Thru Whale, huh? :p I bet he'll the season villain.

Each button stands for a word. For example, Strong Bad's leftmost option is always "Demonic", Homsar's second-to-last on the right option is always "IN-COR-POR-ATE-ED!".

So you just have to find the position of all your wanted words, and you can make the band name you want.
  • edited October 2008
Yeah, I know, you can also choose the bad option to go through as many times as you want so you can memorize what each of the buttons do, which I did. I didn't mean to say I failed at getting it, just that I spent ages trying to get it.
  • edited October 2008
Ah, okay. It took me something like three minutes to get the name I wanted. Good to see you got the DOI you wanted. =p

I have absolutely no idea how to work Megaupload....

    *sigh*....

Heh, just gotta type in the three letters it shows eg, It would say "Please enter BSM here:" and then there's a box and download button, just type in BSM or whatever it says for you and you'll be taken to a place where, unless you're a premium member, which I don't think you are, you wait 45 seconds and then finally you can download it by clicking the download button that appears.

And then you can get your taste of some... Food Related Love...

That's what I named mine, too. Awesome badass name.

Also, I'll say that Limozeen being in this game was pretty sweet. I like their group the best out of Tarantula/Limozeen/Sloshy, so it was cool to have them there.
  • edited October 2008
Wow, a Wesley Willis reference? Never thought I'd see that in something Homestar related, haha!

Rock on Chicago. Wheaties, the breakfast of champions.

Does anyone else think that Strong Bad is throwing us some foreshadowing when he says that he doesn't want to put his hands in his "bed" pile until at least a month or two from now?

Not sure what he would be foreshadowing, but maybe we should remember to look at the bed in the next episodes.

I've just finished the episode and I liked it a lot :D The puzzles were mostly awesome, like the
food related love song of course, or the way to have the Cool Tapes sabotaged
. Plus it's pretty long and more difficult than the others while still being accesible. So far I like the way the season is shaping up, and the next episode looks like it'll be even better so the only complaint I have is that it's yet to be released :D

By the way, having different mini-games, "achievements" and Team Girl Squad comics in every episode is a very good idea, it really promotes replayability.

Hey has anybody else gotten this to happen?

I beat the game, then went back to Club TC and tried to mess with the turntable, but an INVISIBLE H*R to me that he needed it for his Pom-Pom audition! LOL

(I'm not sure if this belogs in a glitch thread... it wasn't bothersome, just hilarious! :) )

It sure is a lot harder to get max awesomeness this time around, I had to play through 5 times.

Well there goes another week without the Big N releasing Episode 3 in Europe :(. I guess you folks in the US are likely to get Episode 4 before we get a glimpse of 3 at this rate. Oh well, at least there's Sam & Max to look forward to next week :)

I can't wait for episode 4, though. And Episode three was amazing.

The mention I can find of when it'll come out in .eu is an unattributed date on Wikipedia of November 21 --- which is it's nearly a month late, I sincerely hope isn't true. Does anyone actually know for sure?

BTW, Telltale, it would be really nice if there was a '[* in US only]' on those dates on the front page; it would save my hopes from being dashed once again...

I've got it but it is a tad bit stupid not to release on TellTales behalf.

I finally got around to finishing the episode. I felt like it started off somewhat dull; after 2 episodes, walking around in that same flat, cartoon-style grass & sky landscape just wasn't very exciting. Episode 2 had a conflict right off the bat, so that seemed to work better. Also, there seemed to be a strange lack of music in some parts, and I miss how Strong Bad used to say things when he interrupted dialogue. However, once it got to the battle of the bands, things were a lot more interesting. So while parts of this episode seemed like a "third episode slump" (see Sam & Max S1E3), other parts were better than episode 2.

For some reason, my favorite thing in the whole episode was Coach Z's "Hugo Left" dance after doing "The 3 O'Clock Twist".

I'm excited for episode 4; perhaps it will be this series' "Abe Lincoln Must Die". So bring on Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People Season 1: Episode 4: Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective!!!

P.S. I couldn't help but think of the Queens of the Stone Age song "The Fun Machine Took a ____ and Died"...
