Does Kenny even care about Clem anymore?

  • He selflessly gave himself up to be beaten nearly to death by Carver for Clementine without even taking a moment to consider it and if you just let Kenny talk and get it all out of his system he actually apologizes to Clementine for being so mean(and if you say "I need you" he just says "You're as capable as 3 adults combined, you don't need me, but thanks I guess."), so yes, I'm pretty sure he does indeed care about Clementine.

Did Kenny ever really care for Clementine? How much Kenny "cared" about Clementine was always dependent on how useful Lee was to helping Kenny fulfill Kenny's goals.

  • Oddly enough, he seems to be the only one in the entire group who gives a fuck about the baby other than Rebecca(dead), Clementine(depends on how much you make her care about the baby), and Arvo I guess, who isn't even in Clementine's group.

He cares about the baby more than anyone

  • The baby presents an opportunity for Clementine to make amends with Kenny though, further enhancing their friendship.

That doesn't mean that he doesn't care about the baby more than Clementine. Kenny has been distancing himself from Clementine and latching himself onto the baby.

  • The big difference is, the first lamb doesn't have a gun.

  • Kenny knows clementine can look out for herself more than anyone else in the group. He just feels that she doesn't need him. The baby however does need protection and care.

Kenny cares about Clem, he knows she's more capable than any of the adults there. He said something like "Your more capable than 3 adults put together but thanks." And when Clem is holding the baby he says she's like a big sister, it's just that he lost his THRID loved one. I don't blame him for being mad at Clem.

  • Great thing about this game is players do adapt to your choices.

In my playthrough, instead of being inconsolable, Kenny actually lets Clem look at his eye. Clem, feeling sympathy foe Kenny suggest, "Maybe I should have took the blame for the walkie talkie and Carver wouldn't have been so vicious. " Kenny's response is, "Don't ever think that darlin. No telling what that sick sob would've done to you. " This shows me that Kenny cares for Clem immensely. So much so that after taking a beating of a lifetime, he zero regrets in doing so. All just to protect Clem. As for how reacted after the baby, if you choose to hold the baby, Kenny mentions you as a big sister.Given that statement, if Kenny views the baby as Duck 2.0, would view Clem as the big sister Duck never had. Onto the hypothetical of who Kenny would choose to save between the two, maybe its just me but I'd hope he would save the baby every time. After all its a baby. There is no way it would survive without help. Clem on the other had has proved more than capable of getting herself out of dire situations. Even more so than alot of adults However an even better hypothetical would be who would Luke choose to save, Clem or Jane's ass? I tend to lead towards the latter since he has already chosen it over the safety of the group once. .

  • HOW DARE KENNY PRIORITISE A DEFENCELESS BABY RATHER THAN CLEMENTINE, THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON ALIVE WHO HAS PROVEN HER ABILITY TO DEFEND HERSELF ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS.

    Yeah.

    No.

As Kenny said determinately in Season 1: "You and Clementine are the only family I've got left... I'm with you, to the end."

  • The others likely don't wanna become too attached to something or someone that won't live in this world.

  • I think he still cares about Clementine. He's angry at her (justifiably or otherwise) for much of the episode, but I'm pretty sure he still cares. If Clementine is shot during the ensuing gunfight, I'm willing to bet that Kenny would feel pretty awful about how cruel he's been to her.

That said, I'm not sure if Clementine knows that he still cares. I operated under the assumption that she doesn't and tried to reflect that in the wa I played.

  • What about when Everyone was going to the observation deck? There was a zombie behind Clem and she froze up. Kenny killed the walker before it could get to Clementine. Kenny looked at Clem, and she smiled.

That's shows that Kenny still cares.

  • In episode 4 in the tent Kenny is a lot nicer he can say he's sorry in certain dialogue options and also he can also say that he always forgets how young clem actually is. I mean I love Kenny to bits he is still the same badass from season 1 episode 5 but I feel im starting to loose faith in him but I think he still does care about clem and he will redeem himself in episode 5.

Kenny gets one thing in his head and sticks to that. If you dont cut off Saritas arm, he helps her out but leaves you and everybody else.
He only cared about the boat
    About his family.
Now he needed something new to cling on to, and so he chose the baby.

Kenny is the anti-Jane. Jane is at her best when she has NOTHING to lose, she doesnt want to get attatched to anyone and prefers to be alone.
Kenny on the other hand NEEDS someone to look after, otherwise he just breaks.

  • yea but when clem comes back with mike and bonnie and says mike saved her kenny doesn't even care that clem almost dies back there luke does at lest talks about it and that is before the baby is born

  • Clementine is not that little girl from Season 1 and Kenny understands it. Try to compare her to the baby. Who needs more care? If you pick the right dialogue, Kenny can say "Hell, I've seen you being more capable than three adults put together". She grew up. Clem prove herself as someone that can take care of herself. And Kenny knows it. Would YOU abandon a little baby for a girl that is the most mature member of the group? I wouldn't.

But if by "care" you mean helping her out and having her back, I'm sure that Kenny cares about Clementine. He's one of the few things he has left in his life. I don't think he will just forget about her.

Still, Luke didn't even bat an eye at Sarah's death and only gave a short "Fuck, fuck" at Nick, his closest friend's death, and no one even cared about the newborn baby. I would have at least expected Luke and Mike to, clearly they're both still nice and kind people. I just don't think it makes sense that no one cares at all when there's a reason to.
