Random question about walkers.

Do they become weaker over time because they haven't eaten anything in a while or because they've been around for so long?

Comments

  • It seems they very slowly starve/deteriorate over time so I think that would make them weaker. Like in the first season of the show they were faster but now they barely shuffle.

  • Both I think.

I would imagine their bodies would start decomposing....

  • According to my Necroa virus plays of Plague Inc. they will.

  • I love that app. Is it bad I always name my virus Religion and laugh at the pop ups? (no offense towards anyone)

I read somewhere that walkers can actually die from hunger if they don't eat for a long while.

  • That doesn't exactly make sense. You'd think that the disease would just start eating parts of the walker as a last resort. A walker wouldn't exactly drop dead while it's starving, would it?

  • Yeah, they do become weaker over time due to decomposition and lack of food.

If you saw the Walkers chasing Rick and Glenn in Season 1 they were moving at a jogging pace.

But in season 4 they limp very slowly.
