Clementine's Mental Health and The Stranger.
Now. I know that they're a lot of threads about Clem's psyche, but this is a point that I don't think a lot people have brought up. In season 1: No Time Left, it is possible for Clem to kill the stranger. She was 9. In this case, it wasn't a mercy killing like it was with Lee, instead she just shot him. I understand it was to save Lee's life, and possibly her own, but isn't it a little scary that a nine year old could do that so easily? This makes me worry about her mental health two years later.....

I'm wondering if that #MyClementine is gonna be like; in the end of this season your Clem's characteristic personality will change depending on your S1 and S2 choices. Thank god I killed the stranger and told her to leave me.

So he doesn't turn into a walker.. She didn't know that Lee was bitten when she killed the Stranger, and she didn't want Lee to become a walker....
She didn't do it 'easily' and obviously she was very scared. I think she just was more afraid of loosing Lee that using a gun against the man who's attacking him

She shot it to save the person she cared the most about, who was about to get killed, and she did cry immediately afterwards

Being able to kill another human just like that, that just means that she's stronger mentally. That's a good thing, she needs to be mentally stronger if she wants to be able to handle and cope with all the shit coming at her.
She did it to protect her loved one. Lee can use that reasoning to justify to Clem why he killed the cannibals, so this would seem like a nice callback.
Thankfully, I never let Lee spare the Stranger. Forcing her to become a killer is just another trauma to compound upon losing Lee.
I would hope Lee would possess the common sense and would be smart enough not to get involved with that stupidity. (hypothetically of course, just playing along here..)
I want to downvote this so, so badly dammit.
I personally taught her to be ruthless and evil in Season 1 and played her like that in season 2. But then you gotta think of the consequences, after and if the disaster abated would human society welcome one so dangerous back into it's flock. It's like she is merely made for the apocalypse, with an evil mental state that would prove too great a risk to let back into society. If her young mind is so evil polluted that much at that age think about it when she is older. That's quite a sad thought if you think about it.

Clementine could shoot the Stranger so easily because everyone around her kills all the time. As she's a young child who's still learning, this would seem as a normal thing now. I wouldn't be worried about Clementine's psyche since she's always been mentally strong. I think what you're talking about applies more to S1 Kenny and what he does to Carver in S2 EP3.
Unfortunately, none of our choices from season 1 affect the game, besides some dialogue options from times to times.
That's why I wasn't crazy about Clementine as protagonist for season 2. Because the minute Clementine became protagonist, it meant her personality and reactions were in our hands, so we'd never get to see how our behaviour as Lee in TWD1 affected her. Wether we played Lee as overprotective or we taught Clementine how to handle herself, after all it doesn't matter since you play Clementine like you want.
In my opinion it would have been so much more interesting to have situations in TWD2 where NPC Clementine in the group would act differently depending on Lee's teachings.
