I want to play it as Clementine merely because I don't see much of a point in playing as another character, it feels inconsistent and unnecessary to me to continuously play as a different character every 5 Episodes.
If the writing is to blame it doesn't matter who the main character is there will still be bad writing and the game will still be "a stale, limited, boring experience". You complain about Clem having "odd plot given strength" in S2, but what about S1? She is even younger and thus weaker in that and somehow drags a big man from outside into a building? Or what about her making a head shot in one try to the stranger after only using a gun briefly before that?
The fact is the writing for these games has always been bad, yet people always put all the blame on S2 and Clementine and ignore the bad writing S1 had.
The writers are in control of her character are they not? Even if they did write her halfway decent (which they didn't). You're still playing as a scrawny girl with odd plot given strength
It doesn't take super strength to shoot a gun. Some of the stuff she did in the second season is ridiculously unrealistic. At 11 years old she successfully shut down Carver's camp solo without being detected once. Cuts Sarita's arm off in 2 swipes and survived a shootout at point blank range. Yet you dismiss it as normal. And no they can write a good story with a different character. Clementine's character was ruined for me and some others

You completely misread my entire post. Her shooting gun had nothing to do with strength she wouldn't have been able to aim so accurately after only having used a gun briefly before that. I was just pointing out bad writing in S1 that, again, you ignore. It is also convenient that you completely ignored my point about Clem being strong enough in S1 to drag a big man from outside into a building.

I think most people who want a new protagonist are only really acting out against the idea of playing a child protagonist again. I think a time skip will solve that.

A new character could be interesting, I think I would prefer a new PC because some choices were weird with Clementine in season 2
Ohh hell naw! Not more than 2 characters. Thats the reason, why i didn't Really liked got As much As others.
