Kenny forgave Ben, if you saved him. Kenny put his life on the line to save him, Arvo just wanted to kill Clem because he thought she shot his sister or whoever that was. Besides, it's been 2 years in the ZA and he doesn't know that you become a zombie when you die?
Ben was technically a kid, but Kenny just saw him as the kid who got his whole family killed, just like Arvo saw Clementine as the person who killed his sister. They both wanted revenge.
But if you do kill Ben, he feels justified and doesn't care, it wasn't until Ben forced Kenny to look at it from his perspective did he care.
Also, about the re animation thing, they might not know because all of their previous group members (if they had any) could have died from zombies or died without anyone seeing the death, also there is a language barrier so they can't ask or learn about it from random people unless they specifically know what they are talking about.

Look, I'll give you all my reasons for hating Arvo
He doesn't listen to a word Kenny says which caused him to get pushed around, and don't say he didn't understand him, he understood Clem and Jane completely when you first met him.
He lies about Clem stealing the meds if you didn't steal, he couldn't have told "Put your guns down, these aren't the guys who stole from us."
He runs on the ice, which I think caused Luke to run or limp over to him, causing him to get stuck
He shoots Clem, even if you give Mike your gun and allow them to leave
He, Mike, and Bonnie were going to steal all of our supplies and leave in the truck, which could have caused AJ's death.
But if you do kill Ben, he feels justified and doesn't care, it wasn't until Ben forced Kenny to look at it from his perspective did he care… more.

I think it's less short term memory loss and more bad writing on TellTale's part. I've said I feel like the only character who was consistently written through the entire story, is Kenny. His motivations, his fears, his attitude, his morals, everything stays the same or gradually begins to morph based on what happens around them.
The other characters, not so much. I guess this is a result of multiple writers but the characters often completely switched characters mid chapters to suit the stories need for drama. Just like I could think of multiple solutions to avoid people dying, which makes me angry, the complete reversal of established characters also angered me and caused me to start hating these characters which isn't exactly their fault.
Luke was making decisions in Chapter 4 that he'd never made before. He was completely unaffected by his friends death and he has this sudden desire to have sex in the middle of a serious situation. This caused people to get annoyed with him. If there was some sort of buildup to this, like maybe him talking about missing this type of stuff or being lonely or anything, I think people would've been mad, but not as pissed as they were. It has less to do with Kenny and more to do with this feeling of betrayal of someone you thought you knew.
Same with Jane, the survivalist. She suddenly starts arguing and irritating Kenny and comes up with a suicidal plan to get Clem all to herself. She barely even talked to people before this. Clem and her had a strong relationship and all the sudden she's doing this crazy thing that either gets her killed or Kenny killed. If this last part with Kenny hadn't happened, I think I'd have been fine with Jane, but this completely irresponsible fight she caused was unacceptable and again, goes against her character of surviving at any cost. She even throws Clem off at one point in the fight when Kenny looks like he might actually stop when you get between them. She was just as insane as he was in the fight.
I've talked about Mike and Bonnie with you a lot so I won't go into detail again, but again, I felt like they were completely out of character in this episode. One minute, they are talking and getting along with Clem and then boom taking all the supplies and leaving. Doesn't make sense. You were also forced to hate Arvo because he was forced to hate you. Being nice to him the entire time and not stealing his medicine does nothing. He hates you and he will try to kill you because Clem, an 11 year old girl protecting and holding a baby, shot his undead sister. TellTale does not give you the option to feel bad for this kid.
The point I'm trying to make is that it isn't so much selective memory as it is people logically trying to make sense of badly written characters. The logical thing to assume when these characters don't just take a step forward, they take a running jump off the cliff, is to assume that they were never who you thought they were. They were always traitors or psychopaths. They are simply showing their true colors now. If they'd put as much care into writing Kenny (who honestly is one of the most fleshed out and real characters in video game media) as they did with everyone else, you wouldn't see all these hate threads. TellTale didn't let us understand their motivations. They wrote them as different characters to create drama and now you hate them. This is what happens when characters are badly written.
This is my problem with TellTale's games. They are ahead of their time when it comes to narrative, but they have a story they want to tell and therefore sacrifice characters, customization, and choices in the process.
I learned that many people suffer short term memory loss regarding anyone whose name isn't Kenny.
Doesn't matter how irresponsible and im… moremature Luke was in Episode 4, he wasn't a threat to Kenny's position as top dog anymore in Episode 5, so everyone's cool with him. Doesn't matter how many lives she saved and selfless risks she made before, Jane is a heartless inhumane bitch now. Doesn't matter how many times Mike and Bonnie helped us out in the past and clearly showed that they were decent people, they're completely irredeemable selfish monsters who deserve to die :P
I learned that Clem needs to do what she feels. Even if that means her being with just the baby, You can't count on people, Only yourself.
I killed Kenny and left Jane. I didn't want to and nearly let Jane die.
In short
Kenny = Crazy unstable fucker
Jane = Lying crazy fucker
Mike = Thieving fucker
Bonnie = Thieving fucker
Arvo = stupid fucker

Just a beer , are you sure.I think I prefer what Jane had when she was a Teenager.

This thread was about personal lessons, and personally I learned to only trust Kenny and everything turned out amazingly for me.
No need to be patrolling my comments and disagreeing. You don't like Kenny, everybody gets it.
