I already did, and I didn't buy them precisely because they went out of their way to redeem Kenny as a character worthy of sympathy, even if it was at odds with his characterization through the rest of the episode.
It's the same for why Mike and Bonnie, otherwise reasonable people, are suddenly painted as callous bastards who go too far in betraying Clem without even talking to her.
And I'm an Asian. I thought the 'urban' moment was realistic and understandable - he says it out of ignorance rather than malice -, but the constant abuse he threw at Arvo was a different matter. It was too American for me, for sure. Americans seem pretty cool with dehumanizing Russians.
I'm an European who is half Indian, half Hispanic, with a black boyfriend (from Florida coincidentally) and neither of us thought Kenny was … moreracist for a moment... it was just a funny moment.
He still thinks the TV series are better than the game, meh.
Besides, Kaatja was Belgian, and Sarita (though that seems to be a Spanish name?) was Indian, how is Kenny racist again? Only towards black people? During Season Two he says nothing but good words about Lee.

No. They seemed to be quite un-trustworthy and even Luke picked up on it, especially with Mike. I did also feel that Mike would be acting kinda too friendly with Kenny after we see Kenny pretty much holding him up against a wall.
I liked Mike. I said this in another thread. I didn't peg Mike as a traitor but as a follower. In the scenerio where Bonnie is with Arvo and… more Mike. I can believe it. She talked Mike onto her side because he was feeling bad for Arvo. She was a manipulative cow. In that, I can see it happening. She was a wishy-washy LIAR from the start. Her giving me a coat didn't make up for the fact that she was a constant complainer and a big part of the scheme to steal the ski lodge supplies, kill our friends, hold us captive and force us to work in their labor camp. I never trusted her.
However, I let Bonnie fall in the ice and die. So, it was just Mike and Arvo. That I didn't see coming. I didn't think Mike would make his own decisions and I was like "Who gave that little jerk a gun??" I didn't think Mike was that stupid. I did feel that was a little out of character but at the same time Mike was a afraid of Kenny so I can see him being a coward and sne… [view original content]
In Bonnie's case it's not out of character. With Mike, we just didn't know enough about him to make that call.
Wow so my prediction came true after all. I didn't know Bonnie could betray anyone since my Bonnie died trying to save Luke. I'm glad the idiots that tried to make friends with that lying trash in episode 3 were betrayed. After that crap at the cabin I shut her out completely.

I am Hispanic, and I was with Kenny all the way. I wanted Arvo dead. That way, Mike and Bonnie wouldn't had betrayed us. Luke would still be alive, and Jane's evil plot to manipulate Kenny to rage, in order to manipulate Clementine into betraying him, wouldn't have worked.

For me is bad writing too. Not really bad writing, but a cheap way to make them (or only Mike, if Bonnie is dead) go away and make you stay with Jane and Kenny.
And yes, it's a bit out of character imo, but they had their reasons.
Yes. At the very least they should have tried to take Clem with them from the outset and if they were going to steal all of the supplies and the transport (and because of the trouble it would have caused trying to convince Clem to leave Kenny) they may as well have just shot Kenny in his sleep.
Mike felt a bit out of character, but not Bonnie. When Clem got shot and Mike and Bonnie were talking, Bonnie was sort of acting the same way she did when she accidentally killed Dee in 400 days
Yeah, and if you chose to cover Luke she'll tell Mike to just "Leave her" which is another similar option you can chose when you are with Leland I believe
you kenny fans all seem to forget how afraid they were of kenny. remember the scene right after you got to the war memorial sight? bonny's words. and it only got worse.

Mike's betrayal was a cheap way that Telltale could get rid of him for the real jane vs. kenny fight. Though I expected as much from Bonnie I knew when she was smokin' that cigarette that she was gone and went back to her old ways.
Mike was showing since the previous episode that he was afraid of Kenny, so I wasnt surprised that he did what he did, especially when he was sympathetic toward Arvo. Bonnie, I was kind of surprised but she did say that she doesn't make the best choices and we saw some of that in her 400 days episode. I dont know. Everyone can get pushed too far.

Them wanting to get away from Kenny made sense. Leaving Clem and the baby behind + taking all the supplies was out of character. (At least in my playthrough)
I think Mike was supposed to represent "When something is too good to be true....prepare for bitter betrayal" in Walking Dead terms anyway.
I recall when Mike see's Clem, when him and Arvo are trying to steal the truck, he say's "Clem...shit". I think he was hoping Kenny or Jane were going to try and stop him...in his mind, I am not sure if he was planning to have Jane or Clem shot but I think he was possibly planning on having Kenny be shot. I don't know but them taking all the supplies is the only thing that I can't wrap my head around...but I really think there was a reason for it.
If u tink that Kenny is ''out of character'' go back and listen to what Lee say......ppl change when bad things happend to them...and Keny got a lot of bad things happened to him

Nothing Lee did was on Bonnie's level so they can't be compared. Killing someone out of anger or fear is one thing, but lying and scheming with an obviously sadistic person and deceiving people who you know to be more or less good hearted is another. Can't trust snakes. And yeah, it is stupid making friends with her because even after you people gave her a chance she still stabbed you in the back LOL. I'm so glad she died in my playthrough before I got to see that ugly side of her again because my rage would've been off the charts.
Need I remind you that Bonnie helped hunt down innocent people to throw them in a prison and undergo forced labour.

I don't think Mike was a bad person, but maybe a tad more survivalist than people assume.
If you start at the museum with him and Bonnie instead of heading with Jane to the lookout he will say "I want sticking with you guys to work out" which seems to imply to me, that Mike had gone from one group to another and left those he didn't think would work several times. I think he wants a group to be with, but he is not willing to be in one which has individuals such as Kenny. I don't think he judges Kenny for his behaviour, just that he can't feel safe around him.
As for Bonnie... Well I felt like her whole character arc kinda plummets if you cover Luke. She causes his death and then blames it on a little girl after trying to wash away her own guilt for two whole episodes. Luckily for me that didn't happen as I tried to help Luke myself. There however, I felt like her leaving was a bit of a sudden shift, but not out of character, as she mentions she's had her run-ins with dominant men and probably didn't want to give Kenny the chance to become that to her too.

Plot twist...we play as Mike (I would say Bonnie but we already played as her)
Russians are awesome, and I'm American.
true true
wait bonnie dies????!!????!!
Well, rule one with interacting with a Russian is never to piss them off!

So you're saying Kenny's redemption is out of character? Wow, I thought lexi was the most biased Kenny hater out there. Guess I was wrong...

To be honest, only Bonnie's, Mike we didn't know much.
We can't play as Bonnie cause is my playtrough she's dead

Remember when Mike can drop clementine
Yeah, her dialogue was the same. "I didn't mean to!" That's only if you "helped" Luke (so that Bonnie wasn't mad at you).
Yeah, and if you chose to cover Luke she'll tell Mike to just "Leave her" which is another similar option you can chose when you are with Leland I believe

as attached as all of you where to kenny or the baby they would never have dared.
kenny would have gone all carver on them, if they took the baby or might even think clem was kidnapped.

Fat?
You really think killing Arvo would have solved anything? I think it would have driven them away faster.
Yeah, I totally understand them leaving but they should have left something.
Can that happen????
I think Mike was supposed to represent "When something is too good to be true....prepare for bitter betrayal" in Walking Dead terms anyway.

If you Cover Luke and then don't break the ice when they fall in, Luke and Bonnie drown, if you break the ice Bonnie lives.
Oh, great... The "bad writing" threads are back...
If u tink that Kenny is ''out of character'' go back and listen to what Lee say......ppl change when bad things happend to them...and Keny got a lot of bad things happened to him
Wow, this episode will require a dozen playthroughs to see everything.
when you get to the memorial sight she already tells you she is quiet afraid of kenny.
It isn't stupid making friends with her. Keep in mind Lee did some horrible shiz too, regretted it and also redeemed himself
And Russians are pretty cool with dehumanizing gays and Americans.
But this isn't the place to discuss that.
How much do you really know about Mike?
Nothing Lee did was on Bonnie's level so they can't be compared. Thought I was the only one for a while.. but in a way it is realistic. be ready for anything I guess
Well that's not considered racism in Florida, it's just considered Florida.
whats with the hate on russains? not all hate americans and gays..
Oh? Then it makes sense.
