I Have A Confession To Make About Myself...

edited September 2014 in The Walking Dead

...I actually have never played any of the The Walking Dead by TellTale. I have only watched play-throughs. But there is a very logical reason for this. From what I researched, my laptop isn't capable of playing the game (well, the graphics card apparently). I may look to see if it would really be an issue. Also, I have a huge crack the goes down the middle of my screen that also makes it hard to even use the computer for school. Trust me though, I want to buy it. It sucks sitting on a play-through and you are literally tapping the computer screen like an idiot when a choice or QTE pops up. If I get any extra financial aid for the next semester to use to get my screen fixed and find out the it can work with the so-called graphics card in my laptop, I getting Season 1 and 2 along with 400 days and will have a The Walking Dead binge. So yeah, probably not the worst confession ever and I'm sure there at least one or two others on here who have done the same. I just felt bad every time someone posted how they hate that people watch the game on YouTube instead of buying it and supporting TellTale and Kirkman. Well, that's off my chest. See you all later a.k.a when Season 3 news drops.

Lol, people seriously said that? Doesn't matter if you've played it or not, you obviously like the franchise so you have every right to hang around the forums and discuss with people.

  • Lol did you expect us to lynch you?

  • I'm the same with TWAU. I've never actually played it myself, but have seen plenty of different playthrough's of each episode so I know like all the outcomes and everything.

  • I phones run the same as ultra settings 1080p 60fps?

Do you have an iOS device? Newer iOS devices run the game well, just as they would run on PC.

  • I always play the games it makes the story more enjoyable. I know you said you watched all the outcomes, but I would highly recommend TWAU still. :P

  • The game doesn't need to be maxed out in 1080p at 60FPS to be enjoyable... It's not fucking Battlefield 4, lol.

  • I only found out about the game when Season 1 episode 5 came out, and I never watched any of it until 400 days came out. It wasn't compatible on my old computer, so when I got a new one in June I was finally able to play it. Before that I just watched it on youtube, so you are not alone friend.

  • I'm just saying a pc will always give you a supireour experience

i used to do that time ago , do you expect us to blame you for that????

if you like TWD you can visit the forums the forums how , when , and where you want....

  • 60 FPS, yes.

As others said, Telltale Games aren't exactly that complicated as to where high graphic settings are needed.

  • That's just less money for telltale...

  • Well I only ever planned on watching play throughs on youtube. Until like a week ago it got the better of me and I bought Season 2 and played from there. Your opinion is just as valid as anyone else's opinion.

  • Some people can't afford to buy these games, or their laptops/computers, aren't able to have a game of it's size on them. I know when TWDG season 1 came out, I couldn't, then when I got enough money to actually buy it, I did, before that, I watched others play it.

  • I understand that, and that's fine. It's just if you'd like to experience the game to the 100, you should probably get the game. If you cannot afford it, I guess that is what lets plays are for...

  • Yeah, I do agree about wanting to experience the game. I knew I was going to buy the game some day because I wanted to make the choices for myself and experience it my way.

  • Wait, did you think we'd hate you for it or something?

    bruh, nuh.

Either way, you like the franchise. Either way, you're still a fan.

  • Haha! Thanks everyone. I wasn't really worried about what people said nor did I have a guilt trip. But I am freaking tired of pounding my screen, mindlessly tapping Q, or screaming "QQQQQQQQQQ!" when I see a QTE pop up. My family is getting worried...

  • Well, I am black. So...

Lol did you expect us to lynch you?

  • Many people other than blacks have been lynched so I dont know what youre trying to say.

People really say that? I love watching gameplays of other people. see how each reacts to the different moments of the game, and the choices each one makes along the way. of course, playing the game is much better. and I recommend that you just watch some gameplay after playing your own episode.

  • Lol I was confused.

    :)

  • That's a good point and I think that's why alot of those let's play channels on you tube are becoming so popular these days. I feel sorry for some of the kids out there, keeping up to date with games can be bloddy expensive!

  • I didn't play season 1 on my own until after i joined the forums and saw playthroughs of it.
I played episode one on my ios device, but then it took me a while before i went back to the game. And it ended up being one of my favorites.

  • Same here.

  • Oh ok. Well then, I guess it should work with me then. Now I just have to wait for this semester to end so I can get my laptop screen fixed.
