Im done with this game. SPOILERS*
So you cant save Carley?, WHAT A JOKE a game that is about decision not giving you the choice of saving her, thats garbage, PURE GARBAGE, whats the point on having this "decision" if the games is going to force things out whenever he wants it, not giving you the option to save her is the most BS i have encountered in any game, because you could always do something, is stupid that a game that tells you that the story unfolds according to your decision backstab you with this kind of BS, just like the 3 color endings of Mass Effect, you want to learn how to make a game like this ask CD PROJEKT RED.
Im not playing this anyomore, uninstalling and never getting anything from this company ever again.
And yeah, im upstet, you did this on purpose, you make us care about a character and then kill it without any way of us to saving it laughing at us, well im not gonna give you any money and im gonna talk straight about this in any kind of game community/forums im gonna be very vocal about this.
You dont make a game about decision, where the "player decision unfold the course of the story" and then forcing something LIKE THIS on our throats, if it wasnt a game like this, then ok, its good, its supposed to be that way, but this game isnt supposed to be this way, and in any case you are using falsing advertising to sell this game because its not what you are saying it is.
EDIT (Pasting what i said after this):
I am mad because i discovered the truth about this game and that is no matter what you do some things are going to happen, i did a research on the matter and i found factual evidence of this:
http://venturebeat.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/the-walking-dead-graph-by-gamesbeat.jpg
No matter what you do, Lee is going to die in the end, you get 1 miserable ending for all the choices you do, and they dont matter, like the Carley death, you dont have a choice, its going to happen, so this game IN FACT is lying when it tells you "player decisions unfold the course of the story", THEY DONT, PERIOD, its false advertising, its a LIE, and thats why i am mad, because before i encountered that BS with Carley death i was thinking, "Hey im gonna do another run and this time im gonna do this, side with this dude, be a douche bag, etc" i was so exited, only to find the truth in chapter 3: YOUR CHOICES DONT MEAN ANYTHING, i even saw a dude that was streaming this game and he was taking some different decisions and everything was the same, and thats what this game is, another linear game, and it should be advertised as such, NOT LIE TO THE PEOPLE.
Comments
Carley....
Delayed NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Hey there mister care bear. Did you forget that you were playing the walking dead? That universe IS the death of characters you like it just comes with the territory.
I did forget
I THOUT THIS WAS BORDERLANZ
Okay, bye.
The purpose of this game is to make you feel and judging by your reaction it seems like it succeded, you can't say it's a bad game just cause a character you loved dies, actually it's a good game cause they wanted you to feel sad, mad , frustated cause there was nothing you could do about it and they did it. But if you wanna go, k good bye
Shoulda saved Doug
I bet if OP played Season 2, he'd be making threads like this every 15 minutes.
Doug was cute in his own way, man knew how to bake a pie.
Till Amid the Ruins then his head would just explode
Where's the part that explains why we should all care? I seem to be missing it, maybe it's just my vision though.
but but but, decisions matter!
You should play 400 days
Its false advertising, you dont have any kind of voice when this stuff happens, its stupid, if this were in fact a game where "the player decisions unfold the story" then there should be a choice, a way, but it isnt there, is just like the Mass Effect ending garbage.
would rescue.jpg
I miss Doug...
Considering the OP's post, it seems like Telltale greatly succeeded in making players care about the game's characters.
Coming from a developer prospective. If you had as much choice and control in a video game as you did in real life, you would never finish your product. The game has to be somewhat linear in order to tell a successful story.
No wonder everyone saved Carley,
Sorry Doug.
Just because you saved someone, it does not make them suddenly impervious to effects that harm people. A character can die no matter what, whether or not you like them, they are human and they can be brought down at any moment.
WAT R U TALKIN BOUT M8 DECISION MATTAR BRO
Ouch...
Like the Kenny/Jane choice! TEAMKENNY!
Troll thread is troll.
You don't say.
shut up and get out then
ABANDON THREAD!
wow....
LOL damn you should probably finish off season 1 but do NOT get season 2. You'll die from anger, trust me.
SPOILERRRRRRRRRRS FOR OP
okay but whatever you say, you cannot justify Nick and Sarah.
lol, who gives a shit?
me
i am soooo gonna miss you, random guy who just joined :P
I hope he is just trolling.
Seriously.
More like this.
i don't think he is, he made a post a few days ago saying how he just bought the game. I mean he could be but that would mean..
they matter to an extent. By saving Carley, you get different choices, dialogue, and some hints at a relationship. You get the girl with the shot, and you can tell everyone your past. It doesn't change the ending of the game, it changes how it is played.
...
I'm sorry, who are you?
Carley's death never made me feel like quitting, but another certain character's death sure did >.> at least Carley didn't get bad ice bucket challenge jokes to her name.
You can't control everything, even in IRL some things happen that are out of your control.
