  • Lol telltale did this right, if they can make people mad cause they got so attached to a character that died your doin good 8)

  • Did you expect her to never die if you saved her once?

  • im not buying season 3 because of Kenny, nothing i care about is left

  • Wow, if you're that pissed about Carley I can't wait till you play season 2.

    Wow, what a spoiler.

Well, since you would not be playing TWD Season 1 Episode 5 (because you're STILL at episode 3 and you just said you're uninstaling it): Lee gets biten

I am mad because i discovered the truth about this game and that is no matter what you do some things are going to happen, i did a research on the matter and i found factual evidence of this:

    http://venturebeat.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/the-walking-dead-graph-by-gamesbeat.jpg

No matter what you do, Lee is going to die in the end, you get 1 miserable ending for all the choices you do, and they dont matter, like the Carley death, you dont have a choice, its going to happen, so this game IN FACT is lying when it tells you "player decisions unfold the course of the story", THEY DONT, PERIOD, its false advertising, its a LIE, and thats why i am mad, because before i encountered that BS with Carley death i was thinking, "Hey im gonna do another run and this time im gonna do this, side with this dude, be a douche bag, etc" i was so exited, only to find the truth in chapter 3: YOUR CHOICES DONT MEAN ANYTHING, i even saw a dude that was streaming this game and he was taking some different decisions and everything was the same, and thats what this game is, another linear game, and it should be advertised as such, NOT LIE TO THE PEOPLE.

First, I am sure hope you are just a stupid troll.

    Second:

Coming from a developer prospective. If you had as much choice and control in a video game as you did in real life, you would never finish your product. The game has to be somewhat linear in order to tell a successful story.

    And:

You can't control everything, even in IRL some things happen that are out of your control.

    Also:

Just because you have the chance to save her once doesn't mean she can't die later in the game. -_-

    And:

Choices matter to an extent. By saving Carley, you get different choices, dialogue, and some hints at a relationship. You get the girl with the shot, and you can tell everyone your past. It doesn't change the ending of the game, it changes how it is played.

  • Way to miss the point fanboys, the point is that no matter what you choose the game has a linear story and its not advertised as that, this devs are lying to the people, fact, period.

  • It's advertised as being tailored, not changing, tailoring a suit is basically adding and modifying a suit, but at the end of the day you're still wearing a suit, it's just slightly different.

  • Well they could have said "your decisions kind of change the way the story unfolds but not really" or something, they choosed to lie. I wouldnt have a problem if the game was supposed to be linear, BUT when you advertise not as such you are lying if is not like that.

  • You keep bitching about this game being linear. You only think about one con of it. Have you every thought about all pros? Have you ever paid any attention to how amazing the plot is? How good is character development? How beautiful is Lee and Clementine's relationship? It's like you picked up a good apple, found a little worm inside it and now you get into hysteria because of this goddamn worm. But this apple is tasty! What else do you need?

  • That's exactly how I saw it too.

He actually gave praise to the writing of the game saying he can't handle the loss of a character.
Just needs to realize this is TWD and anyone can die anytime in the blink of an eye and you wouldn't have a chance to do a thing about it.
Welcome to the Zombie Apocalypse that doesn't care about your feelings.

Considering the OP's post, it seems like Telltale greatly succeeded in making players care about the game's characters.

  • Yeah, that'd be one heck of an advertising line.

  • Yeah i like her and all, but lets be honest here. Withour here TTG gets no money. I know she wont die, so im not like: Oh she will die soon lets be a lot more happy about a character. It is just FUCKED they killed Kenny, worst decision ever and who ever decided should get fired. They ruined this game for me with this action

  • Jane's also determinant, so she'll die too. Besides, I accepted that Kenny died in Season 1, and when he came back, I knew TellTale would kill him off somehow.
