I noticed that ages ago. All thosse guns going off and yet all that sound attracts is a Jane.
Ditto, I mean, I was enjoying Season 2, even if I gave Episode 3 & 4 a hard time. Episode 5 had a few good moments, but it did kinda get boring and then lakes...ugh! >< oh so how pure and innocent I was after Episode 2 thinking the season would just get better and better. There's probably a hitman hired by Telltale to kill us both right now because they can't stand us being bitter over their work ;; better right out that will fast.
But yes exactly, especially worse if Clem's group was pushed to the river's edge by walkers before reluctently agreeing to cross the ice, because it would mean they wouldn't have a head start like in the game; those walkers wouldn't be that far behind them. So! Crossing the ice like that would be made more difficult because they can't just rush across since they have to careful where they're stepping, and if they heck up or go too slow, they're in serious trouble. Also what might be more gripping is if they don't have much ammo left to fight the walkers off, hence maybe why they couldn't just shoot them all dead in the first place.
And thanks glad I could help. Oh! But remember! You can't just go to someone, grab their hand and pull them out, you try a stunt like that on ice and you'll just slide and fall in with them.
Ouch, I heard the main leads hooked up and had kids, at least that's what all the tumblr posts showed o.o is that what you're talking about?
That actually brings up a good point...no walkers were drawn to that massive shooting. That's...strange. I actually think that needs to be f… moreixed. I don't even know why I never noticed that.
"Use their heads". Yes, something they didn't do because lolz plot!! Sorry if I sound bitter, I'm actually a huge fan of Season 2 and don't usually complain about the writing but this part in particular...ugh.
Walkers are pretty slow so I'm guessing they could probably just panic when they see them getting near and think that they're gonna crack it and make the situation worse. Or should they actually get there? I'd think they'd have to be pretty slow themselves when they're trying to be very careful, haha.
THAT is a very, very good point! Maybe that could be a way to get rid of...certain people. They're not willing to stay behind and prefer to save themselves so they leave as soon as they reach shore. Too good for Arvo though, the lil shit needs so… [view original content]
I think Luke's unlikable behavior in Amid The Ruins was his way of 'cracking'.
Interestingly enough, Luke doesn't like revealing his vulnerable side to Bonnie. If you're honest with her when she asks if anything's wrong, Luke gets all pissy at you.
Agreed.
Just reminds me of what Luke says of Kenny, more or less, "I think he's a nice guy -- at least started as a nice guy. But I think… more he's just had to take more than he could handle". Who's to say we wouldn't have seen Luke reach that point, himself? From what we see of him he does a lot of emotional bottling and deals with things mostly by keeping focused on immediate goals or dipping into humour a bit. Kind of like when he's pausing to rest in ep 5 and Clem's keeping pressure on his wound, he's finally beginning to give in and confide in someone he trusts -- Clementine -- and if she answers his 'how did we get here?' question with 'you practically had to be carried', he still ends up smiling or chuckling despite the emotional pain he's in. And it's his sort of coping strategy (which, from afar, makes Luke look like he can 'keep moving all the time', as Nick sees it) which ends up in little explosions when he can't keep it in anymore … [view original content]
Hah, yeah, I saw that. In my playthrough I just kept his heart-to-heart moment with Clem between them -- it took me back to ep. 1 when Clem has the option of delving into personal talk with Luke at the table. Everyone has their weaknesses and burdens and he has his reasons for keeping his tamped down even if doing that isn't the healthiest coping strategy.

I was fine with Luke's death on the lake, I just wish it had occurred for slightly different reasons. What if, since Luke's limp was slowing him down, several walkers were able to make it near Luke, and that combined weight was what caused him to fall through. But that might be a nitpick.
But at least the writers had enough respect for Luke to even give him a proper death scene that actually had some effect beyond a couple of lines. grumblegrouseNickgrumbleSarahgripe
That´s actually a pretty bad plot hole, they could at least have brought the walkers near them and they just ran away or something. I´m kinda laughing at this now.
Episode 5 was actually my favourite of the season (not couting the obvious...yeah). I can see why episode 4 would be a least favourite though...Nick and Sarah.
I was fine with episode 3 but I was disappointed Carver died so early...I was genuinely interested in his character and his apparent role as a foil for a possible future Clementine. Even if it wasn´t for this season they could have made him stay around for at least one more episode to see if it was going to influence us on who Clem was gonna become. I mean, they did that but it wasn´t as explored as it could have been.
Oh, yeah, I doubt they´d just walk straight into the river. I don´t think anyone was that insane yet. Does make me wonder how the walkers caught up so fast, slow as they are, in the episode.
That and how convenient it is that Clem sometimes randomly misses headshots when we know by this point that she´s a crackshot. Waste of bullets...remember in episode 4 where she headshots all of them in one try? How come in episode 5 she can miss killing them in one try no matter how near they are? That scene never made sense to me, we already know she can headshot them...
Honestly, I´ve never been on ice, I´m a bit of a noob on this. I usually stay away from rivers and stuff anyway. I can´t swim so what´s the point?:D
Yeah, they hooked up. That´s one of my concerns. The main female lead moves on from being a fangirl to the "bad boy" (who, mind you, tried to murder her like 4 times and insulted her a lot) during the manga. Yet...at the end her character development turns back to the start, she´s a fangirl again, he randomly decides that he loves her despite telling another character to let her die chapters before and she turns into his housewife with no explanation whatsoever. What the? I wasted a decade on this.

I just feel bad for Bonnie. It's implied that she wanted to leave primarily because of Luke, and what happens once they escape? Rather than find comfort with someone he's presumably known for years, Luke would rather screw some creepy stranger than confide in her.
Yeah, it's definitely a significant moment.

I think Luke's unlikable behavior in Amid The Ruins was his way of 'cracking'.
I thought that was the best part about Luke's character. It gave him another dimension he lacked before episode four. That he was fallible, shit happens. He has guilt, he feels bad about the others. I liked this Luke way more than stereotypical nice guy.

I'll admit, me being the Luke fangirl that I am, I was having second thoughts about Luke in that episode. But those quickly went away, idk why.
Well, getting attached to certain characters is different for everyone, and while you may not have been attached to a certain character, others might have. It's personal preference after all. For me personally, I got attached to Luke because I have an older brother in real life, and Luke's interactions with Clem reminded me of that, so I got attached to him.
Question to the Luke fans, how can you get attached to Luke? All he did was being unconsistant and made funny lines and puns. I mean i liked Luke but how do you get attached to this guy?

It does depend on the person, of course, and what personal experiences and preferences and such we all walk into the game with. There's no one single reason as to why those of us who were attached got attached.
Me, I found Luke's derpiness endearing. Found the value he places on family and the frequent acts of selflessness at the risk of his own life admirable (esp. when he can say something like, 'I jus' wanna survive an' that means pickin' the right sides',) and it made me question if I'd have the strength of will to do the same in a difficult situation. In the end, though, the qualities Luke possessed overall and the way he'd often check in on Clem reminded me of the sort of supportive brother / male family figure I had wanted and at times needed in my life. vOv But that's just me, of course.
Sure, Luke's not a perfect character and it's good that he isn't because that's hardly realistic. He just seemed like a decent guy overall, though. Someone who wouldn't turn on the group or ditch them. The only thing I'd worry about if I were in a group with someone like him is him coming down on himself and pushing himself too hard. Leaders need support as much as anyone else, if not more so.

That is true. Most girls I know will not even use it. They just blab on and on about Supernatural and Tumblr. One girl I know said, and I quote, "Benedict Cumberbatch's eyes are so gorgeous! When he dies, I want to go to the morgue and take his eyes out to keep." She said this to me while on a Sherlock rant.

I'm content with Luke's death because it wasn't as fucking bad as Nick's death.

"Stressed. Depressed. Gotta have se- wait, why the fuck did I have sex with Jane???"
He did it cause he is a guy. Men are simple creatures.
Sigh. You're right. You guys are stupid as hell.
BRUH
Oh thank you ^_^
In a loving way, of course...
Why do you dislike us? We're not ALL stupid.
Quote from you.
Now used by me.
Touché.
What if there was a fence at the bottom of that lake and now Luke is stuck in it?
Pretty much, a cute girl waves her fingers, can pretty much get me to do anything. Women have so much power over men, they don't even realize it.

Oh, we realize it. Most of us just don't abuse it.
Well, at least we saw how he got on that fence, and if he froze, he died onscreen.

wow.
That's exactly like me.
Replace Supernatural with The Walking Dead and replace Cumberbatch with Luke. And you've got me.
You'd pull his corpse from the lake and rip his eyes out? Geez. I know he's not real, but come on.
Go big or go home.
I guess we'll meet a new Luke in season 3. Just like we meet new Ben's everytime one dies.
God. What is happening?
Going big. That's what's happening.
JESUS!
