Most shocking/disappointing betrayal ?
Which of these was the most shocking moments in which a group member did something wrong ? (Some will be more major than others)
- Larry punching lee as they were escaping the drug store
- The St. Johns turning out to be cannibala
- Kenny/Lily not helping you (fight andy/escape walker - scenario determinant)
- Ben trading supplies with bandits
- Vernon stealing the boat
- Bonnie taking food and coming back with carver
- Bonnie/Mike/Arvo trying to escape with supplies
- Jane hiding AJ
Did I miss any?
Mine was the boat. That was probably the one from above that I did not expect

The boat was the only one I didn't see coming, though I still understand the motivation.
You Forgot Kenny coming back with a beard.
Lilly fucking shooting Carley in the face out of nowhere.
Gave me three heart-attacks. Three. I shit you not.
EDIT If you're talking only of the ones on the list, I guess the boat one was the most unexpected.
"...And Neophyte's heart broke three times that day."
Mike and Arvo stealing supplies.
Bonnie/Mike. I trusted you guys.
I liked the Larry one the best I was not expecting that to happen.
I think Bonnie's betrayal was the worst.
She seemed to be such a sincere person, and technically she was.
However, the decisions she made were quite stupid, particularly throwing in with Euro-trash, like Arvo.
Her decisions, reminded me a lot of Ben from Season 1.
Yet, in spite of that, I still like her character.
She was junkie. I always expected her to be conniving.
Vernon, I never liked him and it pissed me off so much he stole the boat.
I'd have to say Mike, Bonnie, and Arvo. I forgave Bonnie after she betrayed us the first time and trusted Mike after episode 4, and to see them helping the guy that tried to get us all killed, it hurt me. No forgiveness, no mercy, they must pay.
Mike and Bonnie. When I saw Mike helping Arvo. I was like: "Mike! HOW DARE YOU!" And when I saw Bonnie, I was like: "AGAIN?!" I loved them back in EP4.
I remember how everyone loved them back in EP4.
lol i remember the huge "Save Mike and Bonnie thread"
I still like them.
the most shocking for me was Larry hitting me, I wanted that son of a bitch dead so bad. I still think there should be an option to kill Larry once you get settled at the motor inn.
I know! Everyone was like: "Fuck Luke and Kenny. We want Mike and Bonnie."
I wonder how those people feel now.
I agree with NeophyteRadglare but as far as the list goes, Bonnie/Mike/Arvo trying to escape with supplies.
Don't regret a thing. Though I never said anything bad about Luke or Kenny, though I certainly prefer Mike, Bonnie and Arvo to them.
As someone who has known ones who struggled with substance abuse, I can honestly assure you, that not all of them are fakes.
Some are genuinely kind people, and genuinely interested in improving their lives.
If Bonnie were to return in Season 3, I would allow her back into the group, and make her prove herself; and where and to whom her loyalties lie, before I would welcome her back in with open arms.
All I'm saying is that most people's opinions on them was completely turned around. And don't tell me you didn't see the hate Luke got for screwing Jane, and the hate Kenny got for blaming Clem for Sarita's death.
I didn't say I didn't see it, it was plainly obvious, I just didn't partake in it. I reserve my judgments until the bitter end.
Still pretty crazy one opinion can change into something completely different. Everyone want their heads on a stick.
Bonnie has it the worst (in majority opinion).
400 Days appearance: Meh
Episode 2: Good to see you again-- what the Hell did you just do!? We'll kill you!
Episode 3: OK, you're getting better at this, you're cool again.
Episode 4: My God you're one of the best ones here, I hope you and Mike have a relationship.
Episode 5: This one ranges from anger, meh and people who still genuinely like her. I think it's more of a three way split.
The only characters who been loved through both complete Seasons are Clem and Lee.
It was crazy to see how quickly people turned on them. It was all because what they did wronged Clementine, and if someone so much as attempts to take the hat off her head, people will want that character destroyed. To see that kind of protectiveness is heart-warming and at the same time utterly terrifying.
It sure did.
Well those three did try to take supplies, steal a car, and then Arvo shot her. I honestly can't look at them in a good way.
What?! Bonnie left Clem, Kenny, Jane & AJ for dead. No supplies, no vehicle, in a unknown location, in the freezing snow. Let that sink in. How could you ever rely on her again?
I'm not saying it's wrong for people to feel that way, I just don't share that feeling because keeping Arvo a plot device devoid of any real personality was more convenient for the writers than actually, I don't know, letting Clem talk to him. I have trouble generating true hatred for a prop, which was exactly what Arvo was. Him shooting Clem was to just shoehorn some S1 feels in and move the plot into the Jane vs. Kenny decision, it had no other consequence for her other than allowing her to see Lee in a dream again. With the exception of annoyance, I had no other reaction to Arvo shooting her. Which is disappointing, that was supposed to be a scene that would make me genuinely angry but it felt like whoever wrote that script was basically just going, "Did you see that? Fuck Arvo. You should be mad now." Didn't work on me. Maybe it should have, but it just didn't.
As for Bonnie and Mike, it makes no sense for two people who have proven themselves to be compassionate enough to care for a prisoner to leave Clem with absolutely nothing. I keep trying to find a way to rationalize why they would do something like that (And no, I don't buy 'Arvo manipulated them into it' either.) and I figure it was just more OOC contrived nonsense so Clementine would have a reason to confront them in the first place.
...The more that I think about it, I want to change my answer. The three of them trying to leave with everything was the most disappointing, but I wasn't disappointed in the characters as much as I was in the writing.
I see so many people throw that word around in a derogatory sense regarding Bonnie, it disappoints me. If her drug addiction is any indication of a negative aspect of her character, it's her lack of conviction. But Bonnie sums up her (and Mike and even Arvo's) character pretty well when she said the world is full of good people who do bad things.
Telltale excel in shinning both the positive and negative light on characters episode-to-episode. Rebecca went from borderline threatening to kick Clem out of the group to calling her her favourite person in the world. This game loves to test your loyalties to certain characters.
I spent most of episode of two and the beginning of episode 3 siding with Lilly, or doing my best to do so, and that's how she repaid me.
Well, I do hold it against her, you know? Of all of the people to trust in a ZA, a drug addict is pretty low on the list. And her story in 400 days was like 200 days in, so it's possible she was taking drugs whilst in the ZA, which is just ridiculous and unreliable behaviour.
Yeah, you missed a big one. Kenny refusing to help look for Clementine. That was a big betrayal to me.
Let people have opinions. Don't just say their idea is bad.
EDIT: Changed there to their
I didn't...
I liked Vernon, and i was hoping he remained in the group, and i was upset when he stole the boat.
Larry punching Lee was unexpected, but i could tell Ben betrayed us.
When Lily killed Doug i was mad.
All of them.
oh it was definitely Vernon stealing the boat because I was nice to him, when he offered to take Clementine I took the nicest way to say no, didn't threaten him in the sewers or anything, was always nice then he steals the fucking boat.. What a prick.
Mike stealing and escaping suprised me a bit, I didn't care about Arvo/Bonnie because i hated them anyway.. I made a full thread on Bonnie and Arvo doesn't deserve one but Mike made me a bit sad knowing that Mike was gonna steal all of our chilli
