Also, I have a question. I'm a young'un so every version of Monkey Island games (and all of the LucasArts adventure games for that matter) that I've played has been the CD version. What is the deal with these code-wheels?
It was part of a copy protection scheme for the floppy version.
Well, I've played through COMI, MI2, MI1 and Loom (for the first time!!) in that order, so I'm going to try to get a copy of EMI next (which I have not yet played). After that I figure I'm going to keep going and do Grim Fandango, then go back for DOTT, Sam & Max Hit the Road, The Dig, Full Throttle and Fate of Atlantis. Oh! and I haven't played Zak McKracken before; I should look into getting that.

I'll go ahead and warn you, you may hate your life during your playthrough of The Dig.
Everyone always complains so much about the controls, so when I play the game through all the way for the first time, I'm gonna give myself something to REALLY complain about. Then I can say with a certainty the game had the worst controls ever; I'm challenging myself.
Although I pre-ordered TOMI a few weeks ago, this is my very first post here on these boards.
In the last few days I played Monkey 2 and 4 (those controls are still driving me nuts). I'm from Germany and tomorrow morning I'll be flying to New York with my girlfriend and two other friends. So time will pass by quickly. And guess what: I'll be back home on July 7th. Returning home = returning to Monkey Island
Can't wait!!!
A very big thanks goes to Telltale for finally bringing new adventures, ehr.. I mean TALES from my all-time favourite game. I gave up all hope that day would ever come. Hopefully this is just the first season of a long and successful run.

Hopefully, normally visit the Niedersachsen area, or Schwarzwald. Infact, it'll be my first visit to eastern Germany.
Well, Berlin is not necessarily the town that's representative for many other areas in eastern Germany. In fact, as you probably know, there was West-Berlin and East-Berlin. In some places you will see where the Berlin Wall once was and you can simply hop from West- to East-Berlin and vice versa without noticing the slightest difference. Anyway, I wish you much fun. How long are you going to stay? There is so much to see, you will need some time. Oh, and go visit the "Hofbräuhaus Lindenbräu" at the Sony Center and drink a wheat beer for me, will you?

Aye, I know a fair amoutn of the history due to German lessons, but i was more talking geographically than politcally. Should I visit east Germany, I would want to visit Leipzig and Dresden.
I shall do my best for the wheat beer drinking! Always enjoy a good pint, well, 50cl in Germany :P
How are you passing time whilst waiting?
I’m working on a mini-flash-movie, a small one. It’s not exactly like the Monkey-Island-Flashfilm, but pretty funny, hope you’ll like it.
Unfortunately, yesterday my Wacom-Board stopped working. Broken! Total-panic! But I’m working hard to get another Wacom so the movie can be released before July 7th!

Nice! Will you ever do a MI2 flash movie by the way?

I did every flashmovie, including the MI one, on my MacBook, with an 13,3"-Screen. It was very frustrating sometimes, not enough space, and on huge projects, Flash was working slower and slower (Strg+Z took about 5 seconds! Yikes.).
The next weeks I want to buy a new iMac, to optimize the workflow (and to install Bootcamp, just because of Tales of MI, yay!). A big screen and faster hardware will make the flash-productions much easier!
I’ll consider MI2 when the new machine is in da house, but the thing is: I’d LOVE to do make the MI2-Flashmovie, but MI 2 is three times longer then MI 1. The project may take half a year.
But let’s wait until I have the new computer. I need to get money. (Is someone interested in unused Headzone Pro 5.1-Headphones I won in a contest? Damn, it’s pretty hard to sell these things!)
I'm playing through CMI on the PC, and I've homebrewed the Wii. I'm finishing up MI2 on the Wii, then going to play Sam & Max Hit the Road on it and DOTT. Man, it's great playing these classics on a 50" tv.
Interestingly, I thought it would take a while to get used to the Sam & Max voice actors in the new games after playing Hit the Road so much - now it is really jarring hearing the original voice actors again. I've gotta say, I really prefer the new Max voice compared to the Hit the Road voice.
I can now recommend the book Peter and the Starcatchers, Its not a MI book but there are plenty of pirates and magic... Its actually a prequel to the peterpan book.. Right now I am in the middle of not only Peter and the Shadow thieves, but Pirates! in an adventure with Communists...
Well I'm done with tributes for a while, but my little brother is working on a ToMI tribute as well, and he wanted me to make sure everybody knows that.
"Now you can let go of my hair, little brother!"
"Not yet! They must ALL know! Bwahahahaha!!"

That's one of my favorite books; it so brilliantly tells the story of how Peter became Peter Pan. I consider it one of the best stories I own out of the hundreds of books I already own. I second the recommendation by infinity doubled to the maximum exponent.
The Flashfilm is almost done! Will be released tomorrow, yay!
Here’s a pictures. For the first time, I let someone else paint the background. These are from my good friend Martin. It took only one day (this day actually) to draw seven beautiful background. Martin is amazing!

On a QWERTY keyboard. That is if I can configure controls. I haven't yet checked, but if I can, I'm doing this.
That configuration seems painful.
what makes you say that? I still remember that the ending was lame.
Seconded
That's the point.

Man, you're going to have a very good time!
Sweet.
Thanks, I hope so Visiting NY was a dream of mine for years. Can't believe it's finally becoming reality
And you will have fun, too! Berlin is cool!
Hopefully, normally visit the Niedersachsen area, or Schwarzwald. Infact, it'll be my first visit to eastern Germany.

w00000t! And when you're done with that, you can play it in CGA!
Forget CGA, Hercules Monochrome, baby!!

Umm, he likes Murray.
