    Tall Tales of Monkey Island?

Pesrsonally, i think they will go down the rute of renaming TMI after the whole set has been released. The logo seems to kind of suit it...

Tales of Monkey Island 2: Electric Boogaloo

Seriously though, I always love to hate these thread that talk about the "next series" even before the current series is completely done. I don't even think they've started making scenes for Episode 5.

"Tales of Donkey Island." What do I win?

The destruction of Monkey Island, and it's sequal will be called secret of gorilla island, followed by gorilla island 2 pox of lechucks revenge, curse of gorilla island, escape from gorilla island, tales of gorilla island, and the final game in the series destruction of gorilla island.

There, I named the next 7 seasons for telltale:p

I hope if they do another one they wait a couple years. Season 2 of Sam & Max jumped the gun a little bit, wheras the timing for Season 3 seems better. You don't want to wear out your welcome.

Was Season 2 not a big improvement in your opinion?

Yeah, I'm with Toothless Gibbon, how did season 2 "jump the gun" when it came quick enough to bring legit excitement AND didn't seem rushed but actually better across the board then season 1.

    Also, back on topic.

How about "Tales of Monkey Island 2: The Legend of Curly's Gold."

    Phantom of Monkey Island
Monkey Island: The Monkeys Strike Back!
Monkey Island: Attack of the Monkeys!

Sorry, it had to be done :p

The rather large Pineapple of Monkey Island

    The Eyesore of Monkey Island

Monkey Island 34.62: LeChuck's Bad Hair Day

Hmm, I'd love more monkey island, but since I'm getting more monkey island sometime this month (and next month, and the one after that...) maybe it's a bit premature to discuss this... but fun though :)

For some reason I like "The Legend of Curly's Gold"... thanks bigdondoo!

    How about:
    10,000 Leagues Under Monkey Island
    Echoes of Monkey Island
    Monkey Island: Lost at Sea

    or perhaps:
    Insulfeator of Monkey Island

If this one was "Tales of Monkey Island" i think the next one should be "Heads of Monkey Island"

    or

    "Race to Monkey Island"
    "The Truth of Monkey Island"
    "The Power of Monkey Island"
    "The Rise of Monkey Island"

i think "tales of..." is more the title for many short and stand alone episodes
thand for a "epic MI adventure". perhaps they better choose another title for
series 1 like "winds of monkey island" or another title with a hint of the story.

so the name of a second season must be a directly regard to the new story.

Oh no! More Lemmings Monkey Island

I like "Adventures of Monkey Island." It's on the same wave length as "Tales of Monkey Island" because it implies an episodic nature.

Adventures of Monkey Island doesn't work because an island can't adventure.

tales of monkey island: the adventures of guybrush threepwood

    eh, why not? :p
  • edited August 2009
    If they decided to make it a seasons thing, I'd name it;

The Memoirs of Guybrush Threepwood: "insert season title here".

Like the book you find in Phatt Island Library: The Monkey Island Years.

Ohh her is an idea, monkey island lechucks story, it is kind of like villan mode in lego batman, and sonic adventure 2, You play through monkey island games as lechuck on a quest to kill guybrush , I would really like to see what he did in tales of monkey island
    while he was human.

I like the ones mentioned above by other people:
Chronicles of Monkey Island - it's like another word which means a similar thing to Tales.
Legend of Monkey Island - it's got to have some kind of legends attached to it...
Return to Monkey Island - they've already gone back to it in the other games, but why not one more time?
Spirit of Monkey Island - it sounds like there would be some kind of ghost pirates again in that adventure, and maybe more!
Adventures on Monkey Island - although that sounds a bit limited to being only on Monkey Island and not sailing around like in the other games.

    It could be a homage to Frank Zappa's album trilogy;

    1. Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar
    2. Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar Some More
    3. Return of the Son of Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar

    And for Tales it will look something like this;

    1. Tales of Monkey Island
    2. Some More Tales of Monkey Island
    3. The Return of the Son of Tales of Monkey Island

Monkey Island 6 - Pride and Prejudice and Zombie Pirates

Pirate and Prejudice would be an awesome title for a future chapter of MI :)

Tales of Monkey Island: The Final Frontier

I was referencing the novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, not the Jane Austen novel.

He knows that, but his point was that it's better to make reference to original work than to parody version. In similar manner he would prefer "The Lord of the Rings" reference more than "Bored of the Rings" reference.

Ah, if that's the case it's a fine opinion. But I'll reference what I want to reference.
