Kenny dies in first episode but Jane lives.

  • That's why I didn't really believe it in the first place, that and the fact that it says that Clem will be 14, which would be like a year past where they are now in the comics.

I don't get why it's such a big deal still. Really, who cares about some other person who made a different choice? It doesn't affect them in any way. I just don't get it.

Expect it to happen, it already did.

Unless Robert Kirkman gave Telltale permission to move Clem's story ahead of Rick's...

Exactly, that's why I didn't really believe it.

  • He won't, they already said this before.

It's alright, I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully things get better.

"Kenny value of 70.3% of players"

Oh yeah, because statistics have definitely stopped them before

It's not like Nick was saved by 84% of people but they still shoved him into the background and killed him off anyways

It's not like Doug was only saved by ~20% of people but they still treated him equal to Carley

  • It would suck unless it serves well the story but is this even reliable ? I mean, I find it very hard to believe that Telltale would put things concerning season 3 in the season 2 files when they had not even started working on it. Aren't they still working on the story ? Even if this is true it might not be definitive since during development many things change and some ideas that they initially had might be put aside and replaced by something else.

  • As someone who's been through the game files, I'm 99% certain this isn't real. This sort of thing wouldn't be in the files, they wouldn't have the choice stats for the main public in the game files because those stats wouldn't exist until it was publicly released.

Anyone could write what's on that video and convert it to hexadecimal code. If someone can actually show me where this is located in the files I might believe it but until then I'm going to consider it to be false information.

Problems I have with this. Come on, a 3 year time skip? That takes it past the comics timeline. Not happening. Also, how can they even decide the fate and development of characters from season 2 when the more simple concepts of season 3 are in their early stages?
Like others have said, statistics haven't really stopped telltale too often. Once they're set on the direction and development of a character, they usually follow it through.

Although, let's just assume it's true for a second. Why are people so against the idea of Jane having more time for further development than Kenny? Kenny is arguably one of, if not the most developed characters in the series, with an awful lot of screen time to his name, whereas Jane got 3 episodes. If anything, Jane could benefit from further development. Kenny's had his time.

  • That sound bias. I was sort of hoping for them to be around longer. 2 Years and 4 months into the apocalypse is very early imo and we're only to about a little after All Out War Part 2. Anyway if Jane got out untouched but Kenny had to die that would be total bull shit. It would just show ankther case of heavy plot armor (Mike, Arvo, Bonnie etc)

  • This is most likely fake. For one, no way would TellTale already know exactly how season 3 is going down. Also Hex Codes are easy to fake.

  • Also, why is there alot of people saying they are happy that Kenny will be killed before Jane in Season 3, if this was even true. If he is dead in your play though, why would you want him to be dead in someone else's who is happy with him?

  • I don't know. I mean, I don't like Jane, but I'm not saying that they should kill her off if you saved her because that would be unfair to Jane fans. They should be treated equally.

  • O.K. chill I'm not talking about just Kenny. Both Jane and Kenny are major characters in TWD and people (including you) will go back on the bandwagon to judge the two on who is the better choice. People are predictable like that and that's what Telltale is counting on.

    Sardorim posted: »

Because they're greedy and will pretend Kenny wasn't all over the place in S1 and S2 (After his death was retconned).

  • Its most likely fake, but if it is real I really don't care if Kenny dies at the beginning.

  • Do you see a Doug/Carley thing

I don't know. I mean, I don't like Jane, but I'm not saying that they should kill her off if you saved her because that would be unfair to Jane fans. They should be treated equally.

  • Yes I do. I hope the way they handle Kenny and Jane is like how they handled Carley or Doug, I feel that is a perfect standard of what determinate characters should be like. Both contributed their own part to the story and actually made it feel like our choices mattered before they were killed off. So I hope Telltale will do the same thing with Kenny or Jane, where each person does have their own impact on the story.

    Just my opinion

  • All this debating about whose going to appear longer than who. And here I am with the alone ending not caring cause I killed Kenny and left Jane...

TT really dug themselves deep with the whole "multiple ending" thing they decided to go with, which is a terrible ideal anyway. Be decisive on what ending you want to go with it. If you'd allow Clem to kill both and go off on her own then do it, if you want her to be a submissive participant of Jane or Kenny, do that then. All this debate over two shit characters and who is better.

All I care about is if season three will be any better than season two, that's what we should be fighting over.

  • Would they leave scraps of an internal build inside the second season? That's one question out of many, such as: how do they already have a dev build for a third season? Why is there random text about it? Why is this the first time we've seen such a thing lying around in the game's files? If they have a build for season 3, why was there not one for season 2 inside of No Time Left? Why would they leave something as substantial as this in the files, despite the fact that the choices from Amid The Ruins and Kenny's game model got discovered in the exact same way?

Then you have other oddities, such as when did they update to put these files in game? If they didn't update anything, that means these files would have been then since No Going Back's release, if not sooner. So why would they have a build for a third season before the second is even done? How do they have a percentage of how many people killed Kenny? There's a chance that percentage could simply be a prediction of their expected turn-out of the choice. But even then, why would they build the story off of the probability of a choice, rather than the raw statistic of the choice? "We predict a 70/30 split, so let's work on the assumption that it'll be a 70/30 split instead of waiting two weeks"? I bet they expected Doug/Carley to split 50/50, but look how that turned out.

None of it makes much sense, if any sense at all

  • If it's true then Telltale is starting to really push it. First of all, I was heavily disappointed with Season Two and then to top that all off it sounds like they're going to destroy my ending because they're lazy. I'm really hesitant to buy season three now. If you're going to get rid of Kenny in the premiere of Season Three if you chose him then A) You're going to piss off his fans and B) Then the choice of him surviving at the end of Season Two is pretty pointless. Granted yes he has two seasons now but come on. You do a determinant action and both characters get considered for more development. Not just Jane. Quite honestly I don't like Jane so I shouldn't have to be stuck with her. I'd sooner just have both die then. Okay rant over. I'm just not too hopeful for Season Three. It sounds like it's going to be just as lazy as Season Two.

  • Still a WAY better ending than the ones with Jane lmao...

    Sardorim posted: »

His ending literally has you walking into the sunset and hoping Kenny doesn't RAGE OUT again. Kenny destroyed the group and would kill an innocent, Jane, if you let him.

  • AT MOST 1/2 season for Jane

    That was way enough...

Man... I'm really glad she won't be in my Season 3.

    Sardorim posted: »

Only greedy Kenny fans would make it a disaster. They had 2 seasons with Kenny, we've had AT MOST 1/2 season for Jane.

I feel this discussion has run it's course now, these files are FAKE

It's very easy to fake something like this and there would be no development data for season 3 in the season 2 files and as both Jane and Kenny are both determinate characters there is no way to give Jane any major development as she is dead in some peoples games.

Also there are some Kenny vs Jane arguments in this thread which completely derailed the original discussion, they have stopped for now but i am going to close this as there could be more arguments and s i said the files are obviously fake.
