Luke and the rest of the gang didn't know Clem and what she has been through, so they just saw as a little girl. They underestimated her; she snuck in their house, took what she needed and stitched herself. She knew exactly what she needed and what to do with it. A normal kid wouldn't even know the first thing to stitching. So yeah, she's smart, and she is a survivor.
About the Luke/Jane scenario, she never learned about sex because it's unecessary for her age. Clem's parents never talked to her about sex, and in the apocalypse: Lee and others taught her survival skills, not sex ed.
Also about Carlos, the man was in denial when it came to Sarah seeing what's really going on. He locked her in the house since it started, which led her to be clueless and confused when things went haywire. Carlos wanted her to remain a child instead a survivor which really fucked her up mentally. So Carlos' way of seeing things was wrong.
Clementine acts more mature for her age because she was pretty much forced to grow up fast.. She isn't a kid anymore, she is a survivor.

That might be the "players" mind of thinking because they met chuck and got that speech, but Luke, and the rest of the gang did not, so IMO it would be unrealistic to think that people would just think like that, people would be more like Carlos, where she is JUST A LITTLE GIRL.
Here is another thing, that i think is funny. People talk about how Smart Clementine is. She is smart, but does she know everything? No, Case in point she had no idea what LUKE/Jane were doing, she referred to it as kissing stuff. Sure that was one innocent situation where she didn't know what was going on because of her age, but then it throws a wrench in the whole badass know it all Clem that they were presenting throughout the entire season.
Is there any particular reason she should've known more about sex? No...there isnt
The fact that she has traveled with a pregnant woman on 2 separate occasions (one of which might've been raped) kinda throws me off. Wouldn't she be slightly curious about the mechanics of the whole thing? Especially with the whole paternity issue between Alvin and Carver. And I hate to even bring this up but..... I assume rape is still a thing in TWD universe. And Clem has encountered bandits at least twice so far. Shouldn't she be made aware of what certain animals out there might want to take from her? How else is she going to know what red flags to look for when meeting a new person? (outwardly threatening or not, there is ALWAYS an innate danger when meeting new people).
Chuck was ahead of the game in suggesting that they stop treating clementine as a child. I think it's more unrealistic for the people 2 yrs … morein to think that someone's Clem's age needs to be sheltered. That's the reason Clem is still alive-b/c she's been exposed to the reality of the apocalypse. Clem's ignorance about sex has more to do with age than with her intellect and mental maturity. She was only 8 when it started...I doubt she had the sex talk yet. So that's not a valid argument against her intelligence and survival prowess...

Her having curiosity about it doesn't mean she asked about it. And Christa could've given her the birds and bees talk, but she very well may not have also. And Rebecca's relationship with Carver was consenual...he makes that clear right before Kenny bashes his face off. Clem can Rebecca who's baby it is and that infuriates Rebecca. This further implied that she willingly had an extra marital affair...to each to whole group, aside from maybe Sarah, is aware of, but that no one talks about. But regardless, my main point still stands...her lack of sex u a knowledge has nothing to do with her capacity to know how to survive

Clem being the PC doesn't make any of this less stupid. It just means that she was a poor choice for player character. What Lee did was a little bit unrealistic, sure, but the difference was that he was a strong, educated, brave badass, who had some credibility built in. Clementine is a physically weak, simple child. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but she shouldn't be the one people look to, in almost any situation. Almost.
Too bad it's a freakin video game....not a reality TV show. It's fiction....game and fiction being the operative words. You do comprehend th… moreat Clementine is the PC, right? She has to do everything so we, the player, can experience it. Lee had all the answers too and had to do everything which is just as unrealistic as well.

lol when did reality TV come into the equation?
