  • Alright, alright.

I need to get this off my chest. It's been haunting me for the past year and I just can't go on without writing it out.

    ...I love Luke.

I forgot to mention in mine that I did as well feel closest to Sarah/Nick. Nick being my favourite character, not just of season 2 but probably in the whole series. His story arc was amazing and I was disgusted with how the writers had him do nothing during In Harm's Way, only to make me mutilate his walker face while listening to Jane's annoying fuckin' Jamie recollection... AHHHH!

  • Common misconception.
You don't actually need to drink a ridiculous amount of water each day. Your kidney's regulate how much water you need, so either way you're not getting more water in your blood/ body by drinking more. That is why if you drink more, your urine will appear clear. The kidneys are releasing all the extra water that the body has no use for. Unless you are severely dehydrated, it makes no difference for your kidneys. In fact drinking more water means they have to work harder to get rid of the excess.

    well, a bottle is like 500mL, I drink a lot of water (around 1.5 - 2 liters a day)

  • I tend to avoid transparent urine, as I drink the amount of water that I see that I need in a day.

Men needs 3 liters a day while females need ~2.2 liters (which I most of the time meet each day).

  • I know it is usually frowned upon if you rewind a chapter in the middle of first time play-through, but I did it twice. When Clem got slapped by Troy, I knew what I had to do to prevent it and I totally saw it coming, but still too late. And Troy smacking Clem with his gun, I did not want a mark on Clem's pretty face the whole time (and I knew this would happen to thanks to the trailer Dammit!).

  • For one thing, Season 2 being "disappointing" is a matter of opinion. For some people, Season 2 could be the best thing Telltale has ever made

Sure. But objectively bad writing isn't a matter of opinion for anyone. You can still enjoy something that isn't well written, I personally love Live Free or Die Hard even though the film is little more than explosions and action sets with little in the way of story. But I'd never do what several "critics" did and say because my personal interests were reached that its "amazing."

Objectively, having Jane spring back into the plot just as a rival for Kenny to bitch at and add unneeded conflict to the plot is lazy. Having AJ survive a winter that everyone else is having trouble even walking through without any vaccine shots or whatever is fucking dumb. Having a Mexican standoff that results in nothing is retarded. Objectively No Going Back was plot holes and contrivances for the sake of melodramatic shit. By far the worse part of it is that Clementine was nothing in the episode, they ruined her character. I never thought I'd say something like that but there it is. And shit like that rubs me the wrong way.

Also, Telltale's recent works would highly disagree with your statement. Both Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands are amazing games IMO that prove what good storytellers Telltale are.

I wouldn't know, I'm too scarred they'll shit themselves at the last minute and destroy the whole narrative similar to TWD.

So yeah, just because you felt like S2 was a flop doesn't mean the whole company is now "beyond saving""

Agreeable enough, but realize some of us have differencing opinions and what you call "ridiculous criticizing" others would call "a simple truth." I can tell I'll probably hold off until the whole season three is out before I buy it because of the incredible amount of bullshit that was worked into the plot. Changing the plot several times until it resembles a story in an exploitation B-flick written by David Cage is enough for me to be extremely cautious to purchase anymore from them until the whole season is out.

I already know Telltale is beyond saving. How the fuck do you already know that? For one thing, Season 2 being "disappointing" is a

  • -I think Pete was the best character in Season 2.

-I don't think In Harm's Way is bad.

-I didn't think Carver was a bad villain

-I don't want to kill Mike, Bonnie, or Arvo. I'll tell'em they can fuck themselves, and maybe punch Arvo for, you know, fucking shooting me, but that's as far as I'd go.

  • I hated No Going Back even more than I hated Amid the Ruins.

  • Seems like you are on top of it, that is important. Goodjob. Pop/Soda is so disgusting, i don't know how people drink it.

I drink about 1 liter of black coffee in the morning, 4-to six water battles at 500 ml each.

I tend to avoid transparent urine, as I drink the amount of water that I see that I need in a day. Men needs 3 liters a day while females need ~2.2 liters (which I most of the time meet each day).

  • -Kenny had every right to blame Clementine for Saritas death if she chopped her arm off.

-Jane doesn't tell "dead sister stories" as much as everyone claims.

-I wanted to leave with Mike and Bonnie

  • I wouldn't know, I'm too scarred they'll shit themselves at the last minute and destroy the whole narrative similar to TWD.

Maybe, maybe not. So far both games are really good and I might even top Game of Thrones over Walking Dead S1 (which is my all time favorite game) if the rest of the season is as good or hopefully even better than it is currently. I'd recommend them, they are really good and don't seem to be having any major problems narrative-wise.

And yeah, I agree with mostly everything else you've said.

  • It's a tightrope situation nowadays. People get so caught up in hype so often its hard to adequately tell if praise is well-deserved or not. I remember when GTA4 came out and it was given 10/10's everywhere, I played it and was so quickly disappointed I hated it for a long time after I was finished playing it. On the other side of the coin you have The Last of Us which I agreed with many of the high marks the game was given upon initial release.

But, I would like to play Tales from the Borderlands once that project is wrapped up if it seems good enough. I'm not going to play Game of Thrones simply cause I'm not really a "fantasy nerd."

    I like Clem.

I dislike Luke because he dropped clem. but other than that hes an OK guy.

    I hate Carlos. Alt text

I didn't liked Sarah but that was entirely Carlos to blame. (im not going to start about plot) I did liked her while we progressed in the game, because she reminded me of Clementine from season 1.

Nick almost killed Clem. Nick was an asshole. and he messed up a few times. and i just don't like him.

I dislike Alvin because he be failing hard. (also backstory)

I like carver. in some way.

    I dislike Reggie.

Kenny was sooo annoying. I just wanted him to shut up.

oh god im gonna stop right here...

so yeah that was about it. OH almost forgot. Jane is the worst.

    I don't care about AJ.

Because of the bad management of Nick, Pete was wasted in the process.

To me, No Going Back wasn't all that good.

  • Game of Thrones isn't really "fantasy." It has some fantasy themes but for the most part is a medieval political story, and the game just tells the story of a minor House facing the consequences of the war.

But whatever appeals to you I guess. I'd still recommend both, they are really good.

  • How does drinking more water not make you fat?
Unless you are drinking it before meals to make yourself more full, then yeah then it helps.

  • Like I said, common misconception. You're kidneys sole purpose is to remove the waste, which is in fact also water that your body has no use for and extra water that we get from food. Unless you are severely dehydrated then you're kidneys will be jut fine.

But you mentioned that you get thirsty easily. In your case, your body is telling you it needs water by making you feel dehydrated. Which in term means that you personally need more water.

What I'm trying to say is that the whole "drink 2 litres a day" doesn't apply for everyone.
Everyone's personal water intake is different. It all depends on your diet, metabolic rate, fitness level, etc.
Someone may only need to drink 2 glasses as opposed to another who feels dehydrated unless they drink two litres.

But what I was trying to address was that doctors usually try to scare people into saying that yellow urine is a bad thing. Unless it's dark brown due to severe dehydration, then it makes no difference to the health of your kidneys.

WAIT! Actually, you need to drink ALOT of water each day since you need to remove the waste from your body.

This is in no way related, because you're certainly not going to die from drinking a gallon, but I feel like sharing since our science lesson is in session.

I had to do a case study on Water Intoxication.
Although a very, very rare occurrence we did the study because it is prominent in travel to the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea. Basically a lot of Australians travel there to walk the track in order to experience what Aussie soldiers did during WWII.
Because of the length of the track, travellers can walk miles before they get a break (usually several hours at a time). Because of this they normally have very low sodium levels due to lack of food intake and are drinking large amounts of water (about 10 litres).
What causes water intoxication to occur is that because they have low electrolyte levels and then are diluting the electrolytes with a large water intake, it disrupts brain function.
The kidneys can't keep up with processing all the extra water into urea as well.

Hope you found this interesting. I was in no way saying that you are going to die at all. I just thought it'd be interesting to mention since we're talking about the kidney and water.

This is basically Kidney Talk Forum.
