As long as Clem returns I'll be happy. To me Telltale's TWD is very much the story of her character's journey, the last two seasons will kind of feel wasted if they start over without her, I mean for me Clementine is almost like a mascot of sorts to Telltale, I'd be really disappointed if Telltale tried to get us to care about some new character, as if anyone in Season 3 can replace two seasons worth of Clementine.
I'd personally like it for Christa to return in Season 3, but not as a playable character, I like her but there's no way she's a worthy full time replacement for Clementine. Though I wouldn't mind it if she were the playable character of the upcoming DLC that's supposed to bridge the gap between Season 2 and the far off Season 3.
No i mean, i just don't have any more faith in this storyline at this point. After playing season two, it blows my mind that people will sit there and tell me that it was GOTY.
I really don't think Kenny will be returning for a second time, I mean its not likely Telltale would create a whole story arc catered to the player's determinate choice over whether or not to kill Kenny, no matter what your choices in S2 its likely that both Kenny and Jane are gone, for good, in S3.
If Season Three does in fact end up following Clementine's story once again (I really don't think it will), then the only character that I w… moreould care to have make a return is Kenny. Even in the case of leaving him and deciding to stay at Wellington, I think it's definitely possible that he could end up with Clem again. Especially if he stayed around the area or was eventually let into the community.
2- AJ (a.k.a. plot device, more useless than Ben and Sarah combined)
3- Lilly (she's pretty cool and it would be nice to have another S1 character)
4- Christa (a mystery saved for S3?)
5- Arvo (a.k.a. the one that got away with hurting Clem and whom I am going to inflict upon a slow and painful death for all the trouble he forced into S2)
What you guys think about steve's group? They were mentioned in S1 and 400 days. Do you think they could make an appearance in S3? As far as i know i think they have an unknown status.
I said no to UNKNOWN characters returning and introduce new ones instead of bringing UNKNOWN ones back, of course I want Clementine to come back, she's my favorite human character from any game I have ever played (favorite one all time being the Loader Bot from TFTBL). But even if she doesn't come back, it still would be called Season 3, just not focused on Clementine.
I like Arvo because I'm still debating whether or not shooting Clem was a good thing for him to do. Obviously he thinks Clementine killed his sister when she was harmless and defenseless (I mean, that's certainly what it looks like, it may not be the truth, but I can't blame him at all for thinking Clem had shot his sister in cold blood). Personally, I don't know what I would do if I had the advantage over the person (be it a kid or an adult) who killed a member of my family. Would I take the shot, would I try to be the better man and forgive them, or let them live while still hating them? I don't know and that's why I can't blame him, as well this has added another interesting dynamic to his character, how will he handle himself after it, what conclusions will he draw about himself? I think his character could add quite a lot.
ive said in the past that to give the sequels some sort of stature they should try to avoid killing off the remaining season 1 characters or at least have them die a heroic death at the every end.Telltale need to give fans a reason to care about these characters
we all love Clem but she has been written an ending/s in season 2,she will have appearance in season 3 but i would of left it because soon there will be no Kenny,no Omid,no Luke,No Sarah,no Nick,no Pete, all were left with are the crap characters who have yet to be killed,do we really want to 'feel' for someone like Mike or Arvo?or Jane or Bonnie? gimme a break
"I really hope not, Telltale should really just focus on new characters."
That's what I was responding to. I assumed by that statement that you were saying new characters in general which would include a new protagonist. My bad. However, I will disagree that it clem or anyone who was in season 2 aren't in season 3 then it can't be called season 3 because it would have no connection to season 2.

you can't tell the logic in my comment because you don't have the knowledge I possess.
ehh??
You've got no idea what Telltale would do. It's 50/50, they haven't confirmed whether Clementine's the PC or if we have a new one, and I seriously doubt you have any other secret knowledge telling you the answer.
I would really like for Molly to return cause she knows what she's doing, and it would be interesting to see what changes she's been through. Kind of like when we saw Kenny again, he changed physically and emotionally.
I think the odds of Clementine not reappearing as the main protagonist would be slim. For one thing..she is the ONLY character from the first two series that is DEFINITELY alive...and they indicate that your choices may have an impact on the game. Well they aren't going to create 3 completely new games and just focus on the character that you let live as clementine. So anybody hoping Kenny comes back for a full episode are probably sol. The most sense is to send Clementine a few years into the future. A completely new batch of character unrelated to the first 2 episodes strikes me as unlikely as well. My guess is most people would like to see Clementine return..and that probably what Tell Tale will do..continue her story. Just my opinion of course. But ive seen nor read anything compelling to indicate otherwise.
I don't know that much about franchise games, but I'm pretty sure a lot of them do focus on new characters every/every other release– especially fps and zombie survival games; they either jump forward in time or the main character gets killed and the new one advances the plot about fighting against whatever alien/zombie invasion.
And there are several TV shows that have/continue to do so like Skins and True Detective.

If they want to bring Clementine back, its going to be a challenge again, on how to write her character in a realistic and believable protagonist, which they struggled with a lot in season two. Hopefully they make it better than season two, that is all i want. I hope they don't rehash old plot lines, AKA Christa Chronicles.

Why are so many still hoping for Kenny's return? I mean if he can determinately die at the end of Season 2, its highly unlikely he'll reappear as a main character in Season 3.

That's too bad, because pretty much everyone else does.
I would like to see returning (a few of this people - at least a short period of time):
Jane, AJ, Patricia, Gill, Randy (It's my ending)
All I ask is Clementine's journey continue.
Plus: Lilly and Christa.
And some more characters that will make a lasting impression and last into future seasons.

Do you always blatantly just state your opinion as fact?
They can't focus on a new character. If they did it wouldn't be called season 3. No seriously what series in the history of series has ever done that?
All the characters from 400 days should return. They had potential.

Sorry, just noticed your reply.

Just when I know I'm right untill they do otherwise.

You can't exactly say you're right with no confirmation. I don't think that's how logic works.
Just because you don't know doesn't mean that i'm wrong.
Actually, you can't tell the logic in my comment because you don't have the knowledge I possess.
Doesn't mean you're right either.

I'd like some characters to return, as long as they don't over-shadow any other characters, I'd say that it should be fine.
bursts in tears
That's your opinion in your field of view.
I don't care if any of them come back. What Eva
Fair enough. I'm not keen to see anyone return either.

No returns Please...Please...
My field of view?
You mean logic?

I'd like to see Clem return as the playable character, even if it means putting up with AJ the Unwanted, Clem's return will be worth it.
Well, first off Clem (obviously), Kenny(at least include him in the start).. Nate, and Eddie... That's about it.
Why are so many still hoping for Kenny's return? I mean if he can determinately die at the end of Season 2, its highly unlikely he'll reappear as a main character in Season 3.
Jane too, unfortunately. I think that even if they'll appear then Telltale will Omid them in the first or second episode.
